This is the manliest thing I’ve ever see...badass locos being hauled by even more badass trucks. Literally grew chest hairs during the course of this video.
I'm REALLY impressed at the turning radius of those trailers!! And especially the way the turning mechanism appears to be automated based on the hitch linkage between the truck and trailer. Clever design!!
Thanks Matt Hayes.that's some awesome footage. Just last.night I saw a flatbed truck in Zepherhills Fl.(Tampa Bay Fl) hauling train wheels. I thought it was nice to see."If you love trains? you love this kind of video." I know my grandbabies love to see them whenever I share those trains with them.
Yes, but what you need to watch is when they lift one (not either of these two) off the trailer and set it on the ground and caboom one end gives and it falls and the other end falls.
Music Universe yes sir it’s a serious truck. Running a fiat Alice tug boat engine with full inter axel wheel lock deployment. About 3,000 horsepower and a two speed auxiliary transmission with deep reduction and low hole. All wheel drive
Bullshit you're running a Fiat Alice engine. His spelling, not mine or anybody else for that matter. Well except for that idiot 9 car Cottrell, who comments the exact same bullshit. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@countrygent4 They do. Due to some sections of the railway being Narrow Gauge & Some being standard guage, they are unable to haul locos to the Plibara. This is why TB Got the job.

We actually do carry locomotives around just not the full 200tons. The frame, trucks, engine and body parts are all separate loads on separate trucks. Trail king doesn't make a 200ton gvw truck trailer combination for us hwys.
Very amazing surprised I never saw this video before with all my train watching. Isnt it neat to think that either one of those train engines could have pulled every bit of that with probably next to no effort? Very awesome trucks working like a train to move a train.
They like to move the big stuff in Australia. I saw about 3 of those huge Euclid trucks being moved there. They take the entire, as in from side to side, roadway, and they don't like to stop.
Matt Hayes you welcome.....this is why i would loved to work in transports on Australia, with these so awesome loads....man,how i wish....greetings,friend,and keep posting more awesome videos like you had been before.Greetings.
Sorry we used to not f around when came to hauling. These days because of do gooders red tape. It'll take about 3 months advance notice they'll give, about 500 pagers off paper work, you'll have to do. If one thing is out off place on the day, they'll fine you plus make you go on, another day, costing 1000's of $$$. Because one page is not right. If your lucky they'll let you go but you'll still be paying some kind odd a fine. Back in the 70's 80's & too about 1992 it was easy no making around just make shore everything's ok, but not over done like today. Red tape has too go. Cost so much, people can't run a business

@Jacqie Claggett In the USA, at least, the cab of a semi-truck is also called a tractor.

I read somewhere that moving trains by track works, too
As long as there's track there.

The loco is going to the iron ore mines in the North West. That is over a thousand miles with no rail connection.
Truck AND railfanning at the same time lol
isnt the semi soposd to be on a flatcar being puled by the loco thats how i loaded my m1 577 at the rail head at ft hood in 1983

MrMagnum Sserpentine Perth Western Australia
My observation is, why did the manufacturing facility not have bloody access to tracks???
Different gauge tracks on site
Do you know for what gauge these locomotives were made? Because the disjointed mess of track gauges in Australia should be common knowledge by now.
In this case, the iron ore line they are going to is isolated and has no connection to any other rail lines, so they cannot be transported by rail.
Im having a nice relaxing dri- Holy shiz its a train!!!

Many thanks for that great info they get around
Would have been interesting to watch them load the engines on the trailers.
Robert McDonnold from a different job have a look here mattau.smugmug.com/HH/Gemco-Locomotive-Relocation
Why weren't they manufactured closer to railroad tracks and moved by rail?
OK, how many wheels total with two trucks hauling?
I would say around 76 Tyres
It's easy enough to count. The trailer has 112, & the tractor has 10. So, 122 per vehicle.
