I've watched a lot of videos on this and minus showing us reconnecting those rear vacuum hoses which I know can be a bitch, this is probably the best video I've seen. Thanks.
Goodness! On older cars you just reach in and the plugs are right there without having to take half the car apart! And they call this better engineering?
The Nissan Dealership quoted me $1350, 2 years ago for my '12 Maxima. The explanation was the need to remove the Intake Manifold to get to the 3 "Firewall" Sparkplugs.
Ok so I’m stuck. 2/4 of my TB bolts are stripped. If I remove the coolant hoses at the bottom of the TB, would the whole TB come off with the upper intake manifold? Looks like it should but I’m just an average DIYer lol And naw the strip job wasn’t me. Looked, saw it, retreated to World Wide Web lol
Meant to come back just in case someone else runs into the same issue. The answer was yes. I disconnected the two hoses(don’t think they were coolant hoses as no coolant came out, maybe vacuum hoses) at the bottom of the throttle body and was able to take the whole thing off while attached to the Upper Intake Manifold. So, if the throttle body bolts are giving u a hard time and u aren’t cleaning or replacing it, here ya go. Also, that bolt on that back bracket is pretty easy after u get it started. 10 mm with a swivel is what u need but I was able to just use the socket and an extension to get it loose. It wasn’t that tight. Hope this helps anyone that runs into the same issue! This should take 2 hours max.
@@gioch8882 honestly idk,but ive never done mine and she gets great gas mileage and doesn't miss.Im the second owner so idk if the previous owner did it but ive had the car since 14 so its probably time but if its not broke dont fix it lol
If you got your Max with under a 100k miles chances are the previous owner didn't change the plugs. I got my Max at 72k and now at 125k so it's time to get them done .
Awsome job. Thank you for taking the time to show us how it's done. People like you saves us hundreds on repairs. Keep up the good work.

This is a great video, so much help, exactly what you need to change coils and plugs. Well done!
I have a 12. Was gonna do this, nevermind now!! 😫😫😫😫
It's easy
Looks like he forgot to connect the vacuum hoses in the back of the exhaust manifold or it didn't show him do it . Good video though
l forgot to film sir, when i returned all hoses connected at the intake manifold.
I saw that too. Thought I was trippin
😮Japanese will help
Torque specifications?
This works for 2012 maxima ?

Hi I want to try process. Is it difficult to put air box back in behind manifold?
My Nissan dealer wants 800.00 to do this job because of the labor involved!
I got quoted $1350, 2 years ago, by a Nissan Dealership near me in Long Beach, CA.
Torque right by feel.
