Love Emily's stand to make sure we understand Cross Record is HER band! ❤ I went to see Shearwater play knowing nothing about them because I wanted to see Emily and Dan. Came out a new Shearwater fan so the collaboration between them is just perfect! Excited for album #2 tomorrow!
My new 'crush', LOMA! Their 'sound', and especially that of Emily Cross, seems to me a combination of Channey Leaneagh of the band Polica, and Margo Timmins of the Cowboy Junkies. Heard my first LOMA song last evening on a local radio station; it won't be my last.

Was fortunate to see Loma live in Brooklyn in April 2018. They're a terrific band and hopefully we will see new material from them in 2020.

awesome! thank you so much! loma's debut is one of my top three of the year. see that dying queen palm behind her...? it probably came from home depot. if so, most are infected with spider mites and die pretty quickly--and pretty much in unison because when shaken, the mf's find the other plants. what they don't tell you, though, is that home depot has a one year return policy. so if you have the receipt, you can get new ones for free. ;)
