This is my first time watching any of you videos, and I wanted to learn this song because my grandfather played this song for me on guitar a lot. Usually it can be very confusing how most guitarist explain the rythyms, strums and chords, and just in general I will get very confused. However you explained it so well and helped me understand it in a great way! I really appreciate it!
I really like this version of Folsom Prison. I know exactly what you mean by coming from classic guitar to rhythm. Its a whole different beast. Great teacher, thank you!
Oh wow! That's awesome. I'm a very new beginner and my instructor has me learning this song. My fingers are so sore...LOL. I'm excited to see your new videos! Thanks again...
Good video, I was told that Luther, the guy who played the guitar for Johnny Cash had his guitar tuned a little sharp. This is why what your playing sounds a bit off.
I worked at Folsom Prison for 25 years and often hummed
that song as well as “I walk The Line”.
A simple, clear explanation - well done! This is a useful intro to the world of the 12-bar blues played in E.
Slow and meticulous, just what was needed. Thank you Roy. I no longer need to hang my head and cry!
You explained the strumming better then anyone else I have seen !!!!!!!
