That girl jumping on the big ball in the pool was about 2cm away from becoming a quadriplegic, or dead.
Once upon a time, fail videos were mostly accidentally caught on camera. Now most of them are people filming for social media, and are self inflicted.

He hit his head, sunk to the bottom of the pool, nearly drowned until my brother realized something was wrong and pulled him out. He's been quadriplegic ever since.
Right! I was so glad she didn't hit her head. So so scary that something like that could end your life so easily and it's possible no one would notice till it was too late.
@@jc7351 I would imagine there are plenty of drownings that happen because the person hits their head and he's either knocked unconscious or is paralyzed and nobody notices until it's too late. It only takes a minute to drown.

I remember reading when there were guys trying to pull a lioness, and someone brought up that pulling is the wrong way to go about it. Basically saying that for humans, we are designed more for pushing, and that if they had turned around they would've had much more effect. IF that's true, I'd assume the same is true here.

Our skeleton and muscles are designed to push us forwards to run and climb, and we have a much easier time balancing if we're bending or leaning forwards over the front of our feet. You can only lean so far backwards before your heels slip out from under you or you lose your balance, which is why playing tug of war is so hard.

People are so confused. Society is going down the toilet with entitled people who can't take no for an answer and who can't be bothered to put in effort or quality - most of the behaviour issues I see in our work place are caused by such attitudes in the young - and people can't see past their nose to connect it to the way we often teach kids now that there's nothing negative but only deferred success.
For thousands of years it's been OK for societies to have sports and competition and teach young people that to succeed you have to work and society has constantly evolved and improved. Now for the last few generations we've taught 'your rights' and 'you can have everything you want' but also taught that we should ignore unhappy things and you're always special... and society is crumbling in terms of creativity and quality. We are, as a society, in the West, severely crumbling but yet we cling to a lot of these foibles that literally fly in the face of common sense. 'Educators' keep telling us how right we are and yet the results, across the board, are frightening. People are supposedly more enlightened now and yet I find more young people leaving education with so many ideas of how they think they should be taught but cannot literally boil an egg.
And yes I've seen that for real. Where a guy complained to me, his manager, that I caused him mental distress just because I asked him to be at work on time - how dare I - and later found out he didn't know how to boil an egg. But he is well versed in telling me his rights. And well versed in sitting on his phone playing games during work time when the rest of his time work exceptionally hard. And again, when asked? Don't ask me not to do that - I need my safe space.
I will tell you that only guys younger than 25 act like that in our office and it might not be ALL but it IS the majority unfortunately. Because 'no' doesn't exist in their vocabulary but unfortunately, as a society we've lost the understanding that 'actually you did a Bad job, you can do better' actually might spur the good on to do, y'know, BETTER.
Telling your kid 'good job' when it clearly wasn't a 'good' job is a bad idea. Sure, say, 'nice try' or something - no need to be cruel - but I genuinely think that this attitude of 'we always have to be nice' or 'my kid can do mo wrong' leads to distortions later.
