  • Co-founder and Trustee of the George Padmore Institute (GPI) Sarah White and Trinidadian artist, poet and filmmaker Christopher Laird talk about the early days of the Caribbean Artists Movement (CAM), its international impact and the importance of the GPI CAM archive.
    Part of the GPI's Reaching New Generations Project funded by Arts Council England.
    The GPI is an archive, educational research and information centre housing materials relating mainly to the black community of Caribbean, African and Asian descent in Britain and continental Europe.

    Thank you for highlighting the CAM movement. I'm interested in knowing who were the women involved with CAM; and if there weren't any, why?
