Sometimes you just want a nice new toy, I’m in Portugal and this will be a fun to use in the middle of the night when pain wakes me up. It will be here in two days and I have already installed a long wire antenna to welcome it. I have an aor, ar8200, I wonder which will receive shortwave better?
Yes, compare, but my guess is the ATS radio, i had a couple of AOR,s - only used them on VHF-UHF -- i am also up during nighttime because of backpain, 73 Levi
If you use the bfo, the offset will carry on after you leave, until you zero it. So received frequency is displayed freq plus offset, or minus offset , if you had offset at 30hz, and display at 7,160, received frequency will be 7,160.30 so to get ssb on spot you would need to be at 7,159.70

Hi thanks very usefull.
Use the agc and fine tune the vfo with the bfo. It take some playing around to figure out the fine points.
