- The North Face Athlete Jake Blauvelt has made a career of snowboarding and built a life in the mountains, but it’s not without sacrifices. Over the years, he’s been in and out of hospitals and splitting his time between the East and West coasts-always for the dream.
Liminal is about the in-betweens. We follow Jake around his home in Vermont knowing he’s headed West again; reflect on his first video part and his career in snowboarding. It’s the story of ebbing and flowing through life. And it’s about all the things you learn along the way.

I like Jake's wisdom: "I always felt like you can either let the injury take something from you or you can take something from the injury." This film is great because it captures so many levels of human learning and capacity for care while also exemplifying the lust for life.

I'm 58 years old and I was a ski Maniac at Mount Bachelor, I miss it so much after double hip replacements. I really want to get back on my sticks ❤❤

i charged 6 feet of vert. no pads or anything. ya know 'hesh' style for 4 years. i took some nasty falls but i will say knees over toes guy is a very underated physio. good film. enjoi the powder.
is it just me or do seem snowboarders always be the wisest people on this planet? :D
