I love watching library ambience videos when studying or reading on the computer and this is definitely one of the best on RUclips. Great work guys - love it 🤗💕
Apparently a lot of people say that there was a lot of information that was lost in the burning of the Alexandria Library and that if it wasn't then we apparently would be capable of warp drive by now (The last part I'm exaggerating a little bit) but that's not true. Much of what was stored in the Library was copied from other places. Much of what was there was simply copies of other places and most of it was poems and stories while others were inventions but nothing that would give us warp drive or anything like that. Truth is the Library was in decline long before the fire of Julius Caesar's civil war in 48 B.C. Still, that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to take a stroll through it and explore these ancient texts and read Homer's Iliad or Odyssey in their original Greek texts. Some people say it set humanity back a thousand years but I don't believe it. It wasn't THAT amazing. So the world today is what we see from having the knowledge in the Library spread throughout the places where people could read. It was NOT a big closet of secret information that only a few could enter.
You can't make any loud assumptions, because not you or anyone else know, what that library really was. That's why we can only make hypotheses. We couldn't know, that kind of knowledge was stored there, but if the memory of Alexandrian Library lives the thousands of years, it must have been unique and incredibly important. I personally don't believe it just burned out. I think the library was looted for it's most valuable knowledges, and then burned, completely destroyed. Perhaps it contained genuine knowledge about the ancient global civilization (ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, Mesoamerica, Cambodia, etc.) and their unique technologies. Maybe Someone thought that this shouldn't be left to humanity. I don't believe in "accident".
