Only SJWs could write paragraph-long character bios and only point out surface traits such as skin color, number of college degrees held, and sexual affiliation without diving into any actual character like goals, character flaws, and quirks. For a bunch of people that have usurped the D&D community they never seem to get past Race and Class to get to the Traits, Flaw, Bond, and Ideal sections of creating player characters. 🙄
Identity politics is derived from collectivist philosophy, in which there is literally no such thing as "an individual". From this false premise, it would follow that "character" can ONLY be surface traits, i.e. identity groups. It's literally the exact opposite of the premise of Dr. MLK Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.

You know how the parasites that infect the host try to suppress it's immune system to make the host easier to inhabit? And once the host has a critical amount of them it can no longer function and starts dying?
That's pretty much what is happening in the comics industry. The real creators have either left or were silenced and made subservient, and all that's left are talentless opportunists fighting for best parts of the dying industry.
I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually people. Every person on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you sjws do not. At some point Hasbro is going to care about this franchise again. Right now they just use the comics to keep copyright on character named so they don't lose them again like they did in the late 90's. Once they want to make money again they should clamp down on all this experimenting.
When?! All IDW has is franchises: MLP, Transformers, TMNT. When will they ALL be pulled? I don't keep up with comics like I did 15 years ago but I really would like to see it stop. How is IDW staying in business with $9 billion in debt? Haven't they been in debt for the past couple of years? How do they keep producing comics?
I don't care what anyone says, Daemon is a dude in disguise. A terrible disguise.

Hey Zach, I share your passion for older material and recently read Batman & Outsiders #2. The entire first storyline and the quotes in the background that were meant as parody and warning, looking at the modern industry, it has become reality. Comics literally predicted the future. Keep up the good work.

The character portraits are also revealing. Major Bludd has a FACE. It has character, it has an expression, it has a cliche scar, true, but behind the drawing there's someone with a clear idea of who this is supposed to be. Daemon is almost literally a blank slate, apart from skin color and haircut. Who is she? What kind of person? What story can she tell? WHO KNOWS???

Wow, they straight up had the opportunity to at least use the Token Black Lesbian as a more interesting character and lost it. How many times in media (an action genre no less) is there a character that has a (living) family and could be strongly motivated by the urge to protect them? It just seems contradictory to me to describe TBL as "willing to subsume her personal goals to the greater cause" and then bring up that she has a family later on. I mean, I can only assume she would also abandon or put off her family for the sake of her position, in which case why even bring them up?

Basically nowadays nobody can write so they have to dig deep in the archives for interesting stories hopefully they will not ruin with their incompetence.

buy an apartment building. get like a 4 story walkup with 24 units. itll cost 1-1.5 million. put down the 300k+/- deposit. mortgage will be 70k property taxes will be 30k youll collect 150k in rent pay a property management company to handle all the screening/rent collection/repairs and should assume some expenses but youll still be making say 10% on your initial deposit which is ahead of bonds and typical stock portfolios BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART other people are paying down the mortgage and youll have a free apartment building at th end of it AND you can leverage the dept into more money. once youve paid a bit more down you can use the equity of your first building to buy a second building and it starts snowballing the money just makes more money and you dont need to even do anything

Well if you decide to go that path anytime soon, I highly recommend Craig Alanson's Expeditionary Force series because who doesn't like an army reservist slacker reluctantly forced into a command role and teamed up with a sentient alien A.I. that manifests itself as a can of Coors Light that travels the galaxy f*cking up aliens trying to exterminate or enslave humanity?

Zack, Van Lente started that 2013 GI Joe series but Paul Allor writes the final 4 issues of it. That particular run lasted 15 issues. I read them all back when they first came out and honestly -- they're not that great. The 2014 series by Karen Traviss was even worse; I don't think she understood GI Joe at all. You're better off sticking with the Larry Hama stuff.

IDW Joe never got better than the first Cobra mini by Gage and Costa. That was the pinnacle of Joe, imo.

The next category you're looking for is (subversion) Campaign. Edit: also, you pointed out before that the new writers tend to sympathize with villains.
