I go through the same thing about disliking my art. A piece destined for the trash, ends up being something I like. Also, something I don't love, ends up being liked by others, so I don't trash stuff. I put it away and wait. I do find people like realism best, which is not really how I want to paint.
I’m feeling the same way. I’m less and less drawn to realism and more drawn to more expressive, intuitive, imaginary art, and abstraction. I’m finally at the point in my life where I’m learning to be OK with people preferring something “other” than what I’m creating so I feel like stepping forward, my art is going to be changing a lot more towards what I love. 💕
@BeginnersMind-ArtMind that's what I like about your channel. You are not afraid to be yourself. My favorite artist is Van Gogh. I love the impressionists. I'm still trying to loosen up. Thanks for the inspiration! ❤️

I noticed on your graphite tint page you have the date 1/29/23..perhaps it should be 24? I’m painting in my sketchbook everyday for the last week so far! I’m glad you enjoyed it! Sorry but I don’t quite remember what was in this video. If you’re asking what the size of the art journal is in the cover photo it’s the smallest size Art Creations sketchbook. Sometimes, if you want to ask a question about an older video, it helps to give me a timestamp so I can look at exactly what the topic of your question is. I hope that helps!
