I love the final pieces, I looked back at the videos from a while back and the abstract work you made and as usual I was inspired and started painting. I'm almost finished with a sketch book which is exciting!
3 minutes in & ii'm nodding agreement...from productive to almost nothing for 5 weeks...as if ii need to let everything settle & let inspiration take the wheel ..ty.
Yes! Just let go and create only for the sake of creating. I think we are all so afraid to just let creativity flow through us and just make a joyful mess. 🖍️📚🙌💕
I am on that same journey to paint loose and abstract. It's a struggle for me I'm not gonna pretend otherwise. I too have those Japanese watercolors and like you I'm trying to figure them out with my ideas and goals for my creative direction. Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like we are on the same journey! I’ve almost given up on those Japanese watercolors a couple of times, but I do find myself coming back to them and finding my way to use them differently. Thanks for watching and commenting! 💕
I LOVE a snowy day in! I take advantage and paint ALLLL DAY! I live in New England, and we hardly got any snow this season. I was a teen in the 90's, and I remember the snow storms that kept us inside. Once it was over, we ran outside to sled and slide down the hills the plow trucks left behind. Now? Barely 6" fell. Have a blessed Easter Weekend!
Thank you for watching! I live in Vermont and remember the very severe storms of the 70s and 80s. We had much less snow here than we normally do this year too.
I for one want more of this! At 76 I'm new to art....all and any art, never even doodled in my whole life, and brand new to your channel. All my life I've struggle with pain and disability (limited physical movement) from my 1st hip surgery at 2 yrs. I'm trying to learn to wc with pain from arthritis in my hands and shoulders but it's a struggle bus. Pain alone for me, causes me extreme tiredness and lack of energy/motivation. I didn't think I'd EVER be interested in abstract but lately have come across some of the loveliest, and simplest tuts here on youtube from a few dif artist and now you with THIS....I just love it! I'm so inspired I can hardly stand it LOL and have dragged out my pad and Kuratake set, like yours, and will start playing right after dinner (you know, that pesky chore required by others in the household?). Thanks so much for this!! I hope to see more from you on this style. I sub'd and liked. 😃
I’m so happy to hear that! Good for you for getting started and creating art. I have a few abstract videos, as a matter of fact last Friday’s video was on abstract watercolors. I’m so glad to have you as part of the community here! Happy creating! 🎨🖌️💕
I love the technical terms, they are like mine. The top middle looks so pretty with the scraping marks. I am going to try that. The yellow green with the pinks and purples is great too. love all of them. Thank you so much for all your videos. Your awesome.

Hi Linda. Greetings from the UK.🇬🇧 Just come across your channel. So inspiring. I am also trying to get 'loose!' Just started a painting of a rowing boat and I am bored as well as it's too tight. So now I'm going to loosen it up. Ps. That's a lotta snow! ❄️

Oh my Dear… that’s a lot of snow! Your studio looks so very beautiful & cozy! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Art! ❤
Thanks so much for watching and commenting 🙏💕
Love this Linda. I should get my Kuretake out as well. They remind me of gouche a bit. Anyhow nice abstracts.
So glad you enjoyed it! They definitely are more opaque than regular watercolor. Have fun with yours!
Love the abstract! I have been getting more into that myself. 😊
I’m finding it so relaxing and creatively stimulating.
This is so good, such a soothing video ☺☺
I’m so glad it felt that way to you 💕
I'm definitely inspired! I'll give this a go tomorrow as part of the sketchbook challenge.
I’m so glad it inspired you and I’m excited that you’re going to give it a go 🙌🖍️📚

Love these Linda! I always wonder why mine don't come out as I want them, I think it's no or not enough white. Going to try that. 🤗😘
Thank you! Yes, it’s nice to leave breathing space.
If you're wanting some inspiration for loose LOOSE painting look up Robert Joyner and Denise Love, they're a lot of fun.
I really enjoy Robert’s lessons. I hope you enjoyed the video!
@@BeginnersMind-ArtMind I always enjoy your videos :)
