- Sometimes it’s the little shoots you enjoy the most.
In this episode after clearing a shed of old seed, it was evident we had rats in there. Knowing we needed to reduce numbers before poisoning could start. It makes it then cheaper and more effective.
Plus I get to have a fun night with a mate of mine.
Dewayne this week is having a fairly big operation (Wednesday the 11th) so well wishes to him are most welcome.

If you put a short sharp screw up through the front of the bottom hook on your ‘grabber’ near the tip, then you’ll pick up the Rats easier, i used to find that they could slip out 👍🏼🏴

About 25 years ago I was doing a quality management audit on a company that transported grain and had to go to their storage site. In general conversation I mentioned pest control and jokingly said "you need to get some cats then" as I hadn't seen any. He laughed and "said look at the dogs", he had 4-5 Jack Russell's and their faces and ears were scarred, "that's with the rats, the cats wouldn't stand a chance. I'll show you around", saying that he picked up an air rifle out of the corner of the room and off we went. Rats, they were f**king huge!!, like the vid he went shooting them mostly at night and didn't take the dogs, he only shot them during the day when he had clean shots as they ran once they saw the dogs.

Good clear footage but i think a 12ft/lbs is sufficient enough without a FAC Airgun
You need to check your algorithms. RUclips is blocking you. Hard to find and not being suggested anymore.
You are my favourite channel. Not my thing, killing, however you do make it seem so decent. Obviously pests are draining on everything. Financially and bad for farm animals too.
But your style of video is great. Amazing footage and camer work. Love you to tell us the positives for your missions.

Got out on Saturday evening to a new perm and set up some grey feeders plus we got out on the rats on the new farm. Had a great night considering it was more of a scouting session but came away with 21 rats. With one or two proper big ones. I’d much prefer the ratting now than a night on the lash.

I can never understand going to look and not taking an air rifle, rats arnt bothered by moving a few pallets about, they will stay as long as they have food available.
You can’t please everyone 🤦♂️. Not everyone does the things the same way. We didn’t go the same night because of the storm it forecasted . If you listened Robin he did say the storm had taken several trees down . So the safe option was to wait for the storm to pass .
@washwildfowler yep, you gotta do it how it suits you best... I'm not meaning to critique your approach, just try to do it correctly next time... and don't worry about a bit of wind Wayne otherwise you will get the nickname "WindyWayne" 😉 So long as you enjoyed yourselves thats what's most important 😉, we are here for a good time and not a long time.
