It's hard to express my affection for DC. I like a lot of kpop groups since my birth I have always been in kpop since the beginning. but I have a really special love for DC I explain it by their ability to express their love and their gratitude for their fans. in truth few groups seem so grateful. DC releases a song about their fans every year. despite HAPPY FACE's small budget, they are a sort of "special clip" for almost all of their b-sides. and I can feel their sincerity in my gut. once again "REASON" brings tears to my eyes like FAIRY TAIL last year. the animation of the MV is also full of meaning. the big staircase they have difficulty climbing represents all their doubts and their hard work and the hand that comes to carry them up the stairs represents us. insomnia the year 2022 was their best year, so that 2023 will be even more beautiful and full of success. Reason isn't a fan song, it's an anthem! It's more than I could ever have asked for. Also, having seen them live three times, I can confidently say: YES, flying out to a different country to see them is 1000% worth it. I really hope you get that opportunity during their next tour!
As someone who grew up enamored with Flyleaf, Evanescence, Apocalyptica, Halestorm, Seether, 3 Doors Down, Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, Linkin Park and Disturbed I guess it isn't too surprising that I quickly gravitated to these women when I entered the Kpop realm. My most favorite part of the animated MV is that they wear the costumes from the older MVs, struggling going up the flight of stairs (where the pillar is the handle of the lightstick) and a hand lifted them towards the DC logo at the top. It's like summarizing their struggles through the years, and with support from Insomnias they can finally be...Dreamcatcher. I agree that we don't really need to read the lyrics to understand the meaning of the song. The video is really well-made...well, just like all Dreamcatcher's MVs that is.

On to Reason: I can't even begin to describe how proud I am of them. They're flexing their rock and vocal muscles, while all three rappers make an appearance. Appropriate to pick RoSE Blue for this. It was my first exposure to Dreamcatcher. The video and especially JiU sucked me in. I was sobbing on my second watch despite not knowing them. I had albums on order within a day and they’ve been in my personal top 3 ever since.
I'm imagining a follow up to Rose blue where Handong comes back with the key to bust Jiu out as the rest of the team help get her there to the portal fighting off all sorts of demons.

Dawg Reason hit so hard😭😭 I personally became a kpop fan only in 2018 and the first Dreamcatcher song I discovered was YOU AND I but ever since then they've been one of my favorite groups. I've always loved their music and tried my best to support them with each comeback. But there's also a lot of other groups that I love so even though I didn't support them any less, I kind of forgot how near and dear they are to me. Until I watched Reason and ended up BAWLING. I was so happy when they got their first win and those emotions just resurfaced.

I think I cried every time I watched this MV so far, like a big wuss. I got the chance to attend two DC concerts in Seoul and if you ever get the chance, I really encourage you to go wherever you can. I have met nothing but the nicest, chillest, most diverse fans in those concerts. Literally all ages, genders, nationalities, it's amazing to see. InSomnia really are the best, I love this fanbase with my entire heart.
I didn't know how fast I had to click this :D Been waiting for RoSE Blue, it's a contender for my favorite DC song (and mv). You are so quick to get the storyline. Yes it's a collab with the game Girl Cafe Gun. I don't much about the game but I think Gahyeon plays the sister of Jiu. And the Oscar goes to...JiU. Yes, the acting was great. I also love SuA's emotional high notes. This fan song is simply amazing. Loved the animation, loved all the belts, loved the raps. Insomniczy made a 25 min video (bit of a documentary) in honor of their anniversary. I can definitely recommend it.

The guitars sound like something straight out of Hawthorne Heights or similar. Speaking of covers I'd like to see Dreamcatcher do by female-fronted bands (and Flyleaf would be sick), Eyes Set to Kill is up there for me, especially something from Broken Frames. JiU was surrounded by Blue butterflies in Fly High to begin with, while she was still 'pure'. When she got corrupted, the butterflies burned away and vanished. I think it is interesting that in this video, the butterflies are Purple even though the title is R.O.S.E. Blue.

A cool detail that I saw from another comment on the MV for R.o.S.E BLUE, which made me love this MV 10x more. Each of the girls that are trapped, represent one of the five stages of grief. Denial: Yoohyeon is sitting in a classroom trying to pretend nothing is happening, even though everything around her is a mess. She also seems confused when she sees Jiu, because she is convinced nothing is wrong. Anger: Sua just embodies anger. This one is very self explanatory Bargaining: Dami is sitting on a pile of gold, and tries to bargain her way out of being shot. Depression: Siyeon is sitting in a room full of screens, trying everything she can to forget about everything around her. If I'm not mistaken, she doesn't even look at Jiu once. Acceptance: Gahyeon welcomes Jiu with a smile, and accepts her fate. I'm sure others will have pointed out her role as Jiu's sister in this MV as well, based on the game lore, which makes this choice even better.

Wow, ok a Flyleaf cover would fn rock. You caught all of RoSE Blue quicklike, nice. It is a bit under-appreciated because it seemed to differ quite a bit from other title tracks in many ways, but man.... the acting they always bring to the table shines a bit more here. It’s theatrical, as per usual with them. After you’ve watched their ‘This is: xxx” series or other bits of their vlives, it’s neat to see how their characters on stage / MV show a bit of those personalities in their performances but add a bit of flair in intensity.

I think I cried every time I watched this MV so far, like a big wuss.
I got the chance to attend two DC concerts in Seoul and if you ever get the chance, I really encourage you to go wherever you can. I have met nothing but the nicest, chillest, most diverse fans in those concerts. Literally all ages, genders, nationalities, it's amazing to see. InSomnia really are the best, I love this fanbase with my entire heart.

Been waiting for RoSE Blue, it's a contender for my favorite DC song (and mv).
You are so quick to get the storyline. Yes it's a collab with the game Girl Cafe Gun. I don't much about the game but I think Gahyeon plays the sister of Jiu.
And the Oscar goes to...JiU. Yes, the acting was great. I also love SuA's emotional high notes.
This fan song is simply amazing. Loved the animation, loved all the belts, loved the raps.

The guitars sound like something straight out of Hawthorne Heights or similar. Speaking of covers I'd like to see Dreamcatcher do by female-fronted bands (and Flyleaf would be sick), Eyes Set to Kill is up there for me, especially something from Broken Frames. For male-fronted, maybe A Skylit Drive or I See Stars.

It made me laugh out loud when you rewound Dami (AND SUA :D)'s part 5 times in a row and can't imagine how this song would hit for insomnia's since debut. I'm my self an insomnia for about 2 years now and it still makes me teary eyed every time I see the video in combination with the song. Looking forward to everything that's to come for them (and this reaction channel)!

A cool detail that I saw from another comment on the MV for R.o.S.E BLUE, which made me love this MV 10x more. Each of the girls that are trapped, represent one of the five stages of grief.
Denial: Yoohyeon is sitting in a classroom trying to pretend nothing is happening, even though everything around her is a mess. She also seems confused when she sees Jiu, because she is convinced nothing is wrong.
Anger: Sua just embodies anger. This one is very self explanatory
Bargaining: Dami is sitting on a pile of gold, and tries to bargain her way out of being shot.
Depression: Siyeon is sitting in a room full of screens, trying everything she can to forget about everything around her. If I'm not mistaken, she doesn't even look at Jiu once.
Acceptance: Gahyeon welcomes Jiu with a smile, and accepts her fate. I'm sure others will have pointed out her role as Jiu's sister in this MV as well, based on the game lore, which makes this choice even better.

Wow, ok a Flyleaf cover would fn rock. You caught all of RoSE Blue quicklike, nice. It is a bit under-appreciated because it seemed to differ quite a bit from other title tracks in many ways, but man.... the acting they always bring to the table shines a bit more here. It’s theatrical, as per usual with them. After you’ve watched their ‘This is: xxx” series or other bits of their vlives, it’s neat to see how their characters on stage / MV show a bit of those personalities in their performances but add a bit of flair in intensity.
