According to the apocalypse trilogy,it gives me a feeling that this song is talking about ourselves in this moment protecting ourselves in the future. Like although the world is being destroyed,you always have chance to take some actions protecting the people you love (friends, kids or yourself) to make them a better future. The future is full of possibilities and they all depends on what you do now. And the key motivation is love. Our ancestors protect their offspring because of love,so we exist. We need to pass the love instead of ruin the environment in few generations. Even the world is collapsing, don’t give up, run and chase the hope just like what Sua did in the video(it’s my fav scene). Idk if these words could make any sense. I really really love this comeback which is also my first dc comeback 💚///////UPDATED : Maybe I thought of a better theory: it’s a story about people back from the future who used to did something bad for the environment and caused many living problems for people in this moment, want to fix the mistakes that they did before to help us get a better future. Now they finished their mission, time to say goodbye, they wish us a good journey, good future.
So the storyline in the trilogy: In Maison, they represented all earth citizens asked for help "please someone fight for us". In Vision, they became people who coming for help earth citizens, gave us a vision. So they might from the future. In Bon Voyage, they finished their mission and is about to leave, saying goodbye to earth citizens.

I think it's a beautiful symbol: the world is destroyed, but they have a seed of new life that still can grow although it won't be easy to grow it. Butterfly pierced with the three swords resembles tarot card, three of swords, a lot (there is heart on the card instead of butterfly tho). It symbolises hardships and sorrows, and I think it fits the whole "our journey won't be easy" concept well. 😢

The smile 😊, as fans of rock and metal myself , every time we have a dreamcatcher comeback we are happy. My only wish is for this comeback if they can have musicians with them, and same for the next tour. At the last tour that was the only missing thing. Fingers crossed for the next tour.

The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break, just like it can be good in a relationship to not be together all the time. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a seed. That leads my dark mind to believe that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on the way of wiping ourselves out. I could of course be wrong. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. From the lyrics I believe they are singing as the whole of humanity and confessing their love (and also regret) to nature. I can also imagine they are building an ark to take plants and animals to another planet. It would make sense with quite a lot of the scenes in the MV. As you can see, my theory is not yet perfect. I also do not know why all three titles are in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...) Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job! And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy! I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!

She sacrificed herself to protect Sua (Suayeon❤️🔥), so in the scene where all 7 of them walking forward, Siyeon eventually stopped walking and the fluffy creature accompany the members for her😭 Sua escaping from the exposed building without Siyeon proves this point. Also the scene Siyeon sitting in a not moving car is also a hint showing she is unable to continue the journey with the other members😢 But she's still smiling because she doesn't regret saving her love ones😭😭😭😭

I feel the sincerity in all that they propose to us. - small flat as even I have not yet clicked with this song the melody or the sound is a bit unusual for one of their title track i can't said but it's my less favorite songs from them since they're debut. - they all look stunning as usual and i love YOOHYEON with short hair . - I watched their comeback show and they explain the concept of this post apo series. there is indeed a double or even a triple meaning.
We had entirely different interpretations of JiU in that orange light. The particular color they used made me think it war and conflict because it was pretty much the exact color from Megadeth's "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying" album cover. So I thought of the orange represented the war that she's fighting and how she's "now holding this pain" because of it. 🤷
sua said in a live that the fluffy floaty thing is a seed, which makes a lot of sense, given that, personally, i see this song as a bittersweet ending to the trilogy. i think this comeback is a love letter to nature, saying that we fucked up, but we can't live without her, so we'll try to protect her no matter what. even the crossroads line, it sound like how we're always told that we're at the crossroads with earth. we can either stay as we are and ruin the earth and ourselves, or we can try to change for the better, which is what dreamcatcher is doing. they're saying they do whatever it takes to save mother earth. my personal interpretation, maybe because i just broke up with my partner a few months ago in these same circumstances, is about loving someone so much that you let them go, because you'll be happier apart. the lyrics to me really remind me of a goodbye letter to someone you love and who really had an impact on your live, and you'll never forget, but now it's time to part ways. it's just such a beautiful son, and it's probably one of my favourite tittles by them.

The floating pod/cell , concept wise probably represents the heart of nature/earth/seed of life. Theory wise people seem to think its Siyeon because they think she sacrificed herself protecting SuA which makes sense but only if you disregard alot of elements from the MV. Personally i think it represents InSomnia always being there with them, no matter what they do or where they go, like the "8th member" of the group.
i'm very late to this BUT! wanted to give my two cents: according to DuKae themselves (on their live band performance on "It's Live"): [JiU] "Natural rest periods are needed because humans and nature have become closer than necessary. It's a song that tells nature or the person you think to rest well." and, in another instance: [JiU] "Maybe humans and nature have become too close to each other, I heard that there's a period called a 'break relay'. It's a song that tells 'Nature' to rest well." so, to conclude their Apocalypse trilogy that heavily focuses on environment awareness, that first call attention to it with Maison ("save my home, protect my maison"), closing the chorus with "please someone fight for us"-- enter Vision, in which the girls literally make a "call to arms" to defend and fight for the planet ("for your bright tomorrow and this beautiful place"), giving us a 'vision' of what could be if we don't take action ("I'll give you a vision"). in the end, with a bittersweet note, DuKae reminds us in 'Bon Voyage' that part of the fight for the preservation of nature and against its exploitation is also to let it be, let it rest and recover itself, because we as humans have already put it through enough. i think you nailed it in the head with your analysis of the meaning of Sua chasing the dove as a symbol of chasing hope and ignoring all obstacles (though now that i think about it, Sua may also be representing nature itself, traveling away in its voyage towards hope (the dove), whilst Siyeon is playing the part of what we as humans should do: protect it while it heals-- as seen by the scene in which Siyeon defends Sua from that powerful attack), as well as the mirror analysis of Gahyeon and the butterfly imagery. Gahyeon in this sense, i think, represents the overcoming of our bad relationship with nature (as said by Dami, "I have my selfish past and yet, I draw a future with you"). the "dark" or "bad" Gahyeon is, quite literally, putting the cards back on the good side, representing that transformation we must all go through within ourselves (which is why there's two of the same person instead of two different people interacting) to become better people and treating nature better. in handing her a card with two swords crossing a butterfly (a visual symbolization of the absolute destruction of a possible rebirth), it's like the dark Gahyeon is saying "I don't want this anymore" and, therefore, we are free to try and change the world for better, cause the dark part of us that sought to destroy it is not even playing the game anymore. in that same sense, the mirroring Gahyeons represent where we are now (the destroyed world) and where we could be if we, quite bluntly, leave nature alone lol (the healed, utopian look reflected in the water). in a sense, i think the whole trilogy might even tie to the symbolism of the butterfly: Maison as the caterpillar/larvae state that we must protect because it's defenseless, Vision as the chrysalis state that can represent a defense or protection as the butterfly is going through its metamorphosis, and finally Bon Voyage as the butterfly that emerges healed and is free to fly away in its voyage and we must let it go. man, i love Dreamcatcher. also, about the flowers surrounding JiU you mentioned: i believe they are purple hyacinths which literally mean "seeking forgiveness" or "a desire for forgiveness". i don't think i even need to explain this further hahah

I really love how you analyze their MV and songs! For me Bon Voyage is when they successfully healed the earth and now they're telling everyone on earth that they love them but they have to go so just wish them Bon Voyage and hope for a beautiful tomorrow. They're entrusting the earth back to us, thus breaking the protective barrier from Vision and they go again on their own journey. Remember in Maison and Vision the earth is already destroyed and barren. and here we see the sun shining bright and there are plants and animals now again. This is a good ending for the Apocalypse series for me! BTW Dami's butterfly tattoo is her real tattoo for the memory of her dog that crossed the rainbow bridge. And the Moon tattoo is real as well, i have no idea what it means for her though.

This is supposed to be the last of the Apocalypse trilogy so it kind of makes sense if it gives you a good-bye vibe. Reason was the 6th-anniversary special release to the fans and is more of a "thank you " type of song.
I'm sure this album would've been an emotional experience regardless, but since seeing the highlight medley and noticing Leez missing from the credits and seeing the rest of the names (most of the Edenary team that works with Leez and Ollounder on Ateez) It feels like DCC went and gathered all his friends to have a "Bon Voyage: From Us To. You" party for Leez as he leaves for his new project. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but man I love these people.

Really enjoyed the mix of slow and fast in the song as i love ballads and rock/metal songs so how Dreamcatcher manages to blend genres is always impressive. ❤
Thank you for making at least some sense of this mv. I really needed it, because all the scenes seem so random to me: Jiu in the rain and in the room with the dominoesand curvy light path, Siyeon protecting Sua but then she's in a car, and Sua is jumping after a dove escaping an explosion, Handong in a flower room, Yoohyeon on a horse, multiple Dami's and her painted cell comes to life, Gahyeon with the card and the white men??? I mean, it's so much stuff that seems unrelated to me. I'm glad I also watched the Showcase because then I could enjoy the sing more without the distracting mv. It took a few listens to get used to it all, and getting me to enjoy it. Same goes for almost the entire album tbh.
Thinking about the meaning of the lyrics in the context of the apocalypse series, I think they may be wishing the earth a "good journey" after humanity has left. It's maybe a bit farfetched (and dramatic) but a lot of the lyrics and concepts seen in the teasers/mv can be connected pretty well to it in my opinion.

The scene with Siyeon and the staircases looks an MC Escher drawing. I am pretty sure that the bird that SuA is pursuing is a sparrowhawk which is an important symbol in Hermann Hesse's Demian for having an independent spirit. (and there is the song Demian on the album). Separate from Hesse, I found this description of what a sparrowhawk symbolizes: "The sparrowhawk is sometimes symbolically linked with the inner spirit of the warrior. They're a small yet fierce bird of prey, with unexpected inner strength and as such they remind us that we're stronger than we realize."
The world outside the building is completely devoid of vegetation. Plants are only indoors. The outside world has become an environment in which plants cannot grow.
After seing some perceptions of the meaning behind the song and MV. I actually agree with one perception I read here that Siyeon saving Sua means she's sacrificed herself and that's why we see her stop walking at some point when all member are walking in that part of the MV. I personally think that in general Siyeon in this MV symbolises us (people) in times where we need to stay away from our loved ones (in Siyeon's case the members of DC ofc) for a great purpose (such as teens who are leaving home to study abroad). And as the song says I think in some parts even if you're far away from your loved ones ( family/friends/a lover) you still need to go in order to achieve your goal/purpose and your loved ones will always have you in their hearts and think of you and you'll do so too. Plus it may also mean that you need to sacrifice smth in order to make things better and have hope of course. Also after Sua was saved by Siyeon and escaped the building without her, she went to catch that bird thing (which is probably hope) as we saw. That's why I believe Sua herself probably symbolises hope since she's the one trying to catch it. Hence this is why I end up with a second perception of Siyeon's case in the MV. That is Siyeon sacrificed herself in order to bring hope and help making the world better especially for her loved ones (the DC girls). That is funny cause it actually matches with a personal belief of mine that you need to sacrifice/or change smth about yourself in order for people/various situations around you to change for the better too. I mean that when I'm complaining for example about someome's behaviour in my life I always tend to think that I can't ask someone to change if I can't change myself for the better too. Anyways this is getting long so that's all about some thoughts of mine about the meaning of the MV. I don't know what all the other things can symbolise but Sua and Siyeon's case in the MV could probably mean something of these.

Honestly, I think Bon Voyage, Vision and Boca have the weakest melody out of all title tracks, their titles usually have that memorable and straight up catchy melody especially in the chorus (shout out to Deja Vu, Scream, BEcause, Odd Eye .etc). But the three songs in the above definitely rely more on the instruments to create that powerful contrast and impact, I don't like Vision but Boca and Bon Voyage absolutely grow on me a lot. Everything starts to make sense the more I listen to them because at first I always feel something disconnected in those songs.

sua said in a live that the fluffy floaty thing is a seed, which makes a lot of sense, given that, personally, i see this song as a bittersweet ending to the trilogy. i think this comeback is a love letter to nature, saying that we fucked up, but we can't live without her, so we'll try to protect her no matter what. even the crossroads line, it sound like how we're always told that we're at the crossroads with earth. we can either stay as we are and ruin the earth and ourselves, or we can try to change for the better, which is what dreamcatcher is doing. they're saying they do whatever it takes to save mother earth.
my personal interpretation, maybe because i just broke up with my partner a few months ago in these same circumstances, is about loving someone so much that you let them go, because you'll be happier apart. the lyrics to me really remind me of a goodbye letter to someone you love and who really had an impact on your live, and you'll never forget, but now it's time to part ways. it's just such a beautiful son, and it's probably one of my favourite tittles by them.
The 'you' in this song is the earth. This song comforts the earth and prays for recovery.

I think we're at the point where Dreamcatcher got their new and old styles down for the perfect synergy, at least I feel that way.
And the bass too is insane in the intro .
The floating pod/cell , concept wise probably represents the heart of nature/earth/seed of life. Theory wise people seem to think its Siyeon because they think she sacrificed herself protecting SuA which makes sense but only if you disregard alot of elements from the MV.
Personally i think it represents InSomnia always being there with them, no matter what they do or where they go, like the "8th member" of the group.
i'm very late to this BUT! wanted to give my two cents:
according to DuKae themselves (on their live band performance on "It's Live"): [JiU] "Natural rest periods are needed because humans and nature have become closer than necessary. It's a song that tells nature or the person you think to rest well." and, in another instance: [JiU] "Maybe humans and nature have become too close to each other, I heard that there's a period called a 'break relay'. It's a song that tells 'Nature' to rest well."
so, to conclude their Apocalypse trilogy that heavily focuses on environment awareness, that first call attention to it with Maison ("save my home, protect my maison"), closing the chorus with "please someone fight for us"-- enter Vision, in which the girls literally make a "call to arms" to defend and fight for the planet ("for your bright tomorrow and this beautiful place"), giving us a 'vision' of what could be if we don't take action ("I'll give you a vision"). in the end, with a bittersweet note, DuKae reminds us in 'Bon Voyage' that part of the fight for the preservation of nature and against its exploitation is also to let it be, let it rest and recover itself, because we as humans have already put it through enough.
i think you nailed it in the head with your analysis of the meaning of Sua chasing the dove as a symbol of chasing hope and ignoring all obstacles (though now that i think about it, Sua may also be representing nature itself, traveling away in its voyage towards hope (the dove), whilst Siyeon is playing the part of what we as humans should do: protect it while it heals-- as seen by the scene in which Siyeon defends Sua from that powerful attack), as well as the mirror analysis of Gahyeon and the butterfly imagery. Gahyeon in this sense, i think, represents the overcoming of our bad relationship with nature (as said by Dami, "I have my selfish past and yet, I draw a future with you"). the "dark" or "bad" Gahyeon is, quite literally, putting the cards back on the good side, representing that transformation we must all go through within ourselves (which is why there's two of the same person instead of two different people interacting) to become better people and treating nature better. in handing her a card with two swords crossing a butterfly (a visual symbolization of the absolute destruction of a possible rebirth), it's like the dark Gahyeon is saying "I don't want this anymore" and, therefore, we are free to try and change the world for better, cause the dark part of us that sought to destroy it is not even playing the game anymore. in that same sense, the mirroring Gahyeons represent where we are now (the destroyed world) and where we could be if we, quite bluntly, leave nature alone lol (the healed, utopian look reflected in the water).
in a sense, i think the whole trilogy might even tie to the symbolism of the butterfly: Maison as the caterpillar/larvae state that we must protect because it's defenseless, Vision as the chrysalis state that can represent a defense or protection as the butterfly is going through its metamorphosis, and finally Bon Voyage as the butterfly that emerges healed and is free to fly away in its voyage and we must let it go. man, i love Dreamcatcher.
also, about the flowers surrounding JiU you mentioned: i believe they are purple hyacinths which literally mean "seeking forgiveness" or "a desire for forgiveness". i don't think i even need to explain this further hahah

I really love how you analyze their MV and songs! For me Bon Voyage is when they successfully healed the earth and now they're telling everyone on earth that they love them but they have to go so just wish them Bon Voyage and hope for a beautiful tomorrow. They're entrusting the earth back to us, thus breaking the protective barrier from Vision and they go again on their own journey. Remember in Maison and Vision the earth is already destroyed and barren. and here we see the sun shining bright and there are plants and animals now again. This is a good ending for the Apocalypse series for me!
BTW Dami's butterfly tattoo is her real tattoo for the memory of her dog that crossed the rainbow bridge. And the Moon tattoo is real as well, i have no idea what it means for her though.

I'm sure this album would've been an emotional experience regardless, but since seeing the highlight medley and noticing Leez missing from the credits and seeing the rest of the names (most of the Edenary team that works with Leez and Ollounder on Ateez) It feels like DCC went and gathered all his friends to have a "Bon Voyage: From Us To. You" party for Leez as he leaves for his new project.

Thank you for making at least some sense of this mv. I really needed it, because all the scenes seem so random to me: Jiu in the rain and in the room with the dominoesand curvy light path, Siyeon protecting Sua but then she's in a car, and Sua is jumping after a dove escaping an explosion, Handong in a flower room, Yoohyeon on a horse, multiple Dami's and her painted cell comes to life, Gahyeon with the card and the white men??? I mean, it's so much stuff that seems unrelated to me.
I'm glad I also watched the Showcase because then I could enjoy the sing more without the distracting mv.
It took a few listens to get used to it all, and getting me to enjoy it. Same goes for almost the entire album tbh.

Thinking about the meaning of the lyrics in the context of the apocalypse series, I think they may be wishing the earth a "good journey" after humanity has left. It's maybe a bit farfetched (and dramatic) but a lot of the lyrics and concepts seen in the teasers/mv can be connected pretty well to it in my opinion.

Just spitballing here, but looking at the triple Dami scene, could it be that she (and by extension all of the girls) represents past present and future, but she is the same in all three images, meaning that she won't ever change, and always be there? Or always be a constant?
This comeback is soooo good!!! Like, I can't put into words the amount of things this song made me feel, it's so nostalgic and heartfelt, their vocals!!! Its last two twists were great, but I didn't feel them as much as I felt BOCA or Scream, but then Bonvoyage came along and blew me away. And that. This is Dreamcatcher and I totally understand you because I've heard this a thousand times and it still makes me cry lol Thanks for the reaction! The members mentioned that it's about taking a break from nature, as well as how good it can be in a relationship not to be together all the time. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it, just as death is part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell. This leads my dark mind to believe they are saying "Bon voyage" to humanity as we are on the path to annihilating ourselves. It's like a rift between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature will get the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are talking to nature, confessing their love and realizing that we are not good for nature. I can also imagine that they are building an ark to take plants and animals to another planet. It would make sense with some of the scenes in the MV. This is my humble theory, which could be totally wrong or confusing, but it goes like this, I believe in it DREAMCATCHE, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE WORK OF ART. ❤👏👏

I am pretty sure that the bird that SuA is pursuing is a sparrowhawk which is an important symbol in Hermann Hesse's Demian for having an independent spirit. (and there is the song Demian on the album). Separate from Hesse, I found this description of what a sparrowhawk symbolizes: "The sparrowhawk is sometimes symbolically linked with the inner spirit of the warrior. They're a small yet fierce bird of prey, with unexpected inner strength and as such they remind us that we're stronger than we realize."

I can't imagine dreamcatcher and joohoney competing on the show together.
The world outside the building is completely devoid of vegetation. Plants are only indoors. The outside world has become an environment in which plants cannot grow.
After seing some perceptions of the meaning behind the song and MV. I actually agree with one perception I read here that Siyeon saving Sua means she's sacrificed herself and that's why we see her stop walking at some point when all member are walking in that part of the MV. I personally think that in general Siyeon in this MV symbolises us (people) in times where we need to stay away from our loved ones (in Siyeon's case the members of DC ofc) for a great purpose (such as teens who are leaving home to study abroad). And as the song says I think in some parts even if you're far away from your loved ones ( family/friends/a lover) you still need to go in order to achieve your goal/purpose and your loved ones will always have you in their hearts and think of you and you'll do so too. Plus it may also mean that you need to sacrifice smth in order to make things better and have hope of course. Also after Sua was saved by Siyeon and escaped the building without her, she went to catch that bird thing (which is probably hope) as we saw. That's why I believe Sua herself probably symbolises hope since she's the one trying to catch it. Hence this is why I end up with a second perception of Siyeon's case in the MV. That is Siyeon sacrificed herself in order to bring hope and help making the world better especially for her loved ones (the DC girls). That is funny cause it actually matches with a personal belief of mine that you need to sacrifice/or change smth about yourself in order for people/various situations around you to change for the better too. I mean that when I'm complaining for example about someome's behaviour in my life I always tend to think that I can't ask someone to change if I can't change myself for the better too. Anyways this is getting long so that's all about some thoughts of mine about the meaning of the MV. I don't know what all the other things can symbolise but Sua and Siyeon's case in the MV could probably mean something of these.

Honestly, I think Bon Voyage, Vision and Boca have the weakest melody out of all title tracks, their titles usually have that memorable and straight up catchy melody especially in the chorus (shout out to Deja Vu, Scream, BEcause, Odd Eye .etc). But the three songs in the above definitely rely more on the instruments to create that powerful contrast and impact, I don't like Vision but Boca and Bon Voyage absolutely grow on me a lot. Everything starts to make sense the more I listen to them because at first I always feel something disconnected in those songs.
