Loefah started turning away from dubstep around 2007 when he made Disko Reka. He didn't like the formula of the genre anymore. Nowadays he's more into techno, deep house, juke and all, you should check his label swamp81
No I don't think so. Although Western (Did a Skank) wich was released last year does have a dubstep kinda feel to it, but it's a lot slower. And the dj tool Veal he released kinda shows he's moving on to house and stuff in his live sets, wich you can hear in his Boiler Room set.
45Hz isn't THAT 'deep', it's just below the threshold of what's truly considered sub bass territory which begins at 50Hz. The 30-40hz domain being the REAL bass. Anything below that is overkill and loses harmony/melody with the frequencies above.
***** No. Shutup. Corny, if you're the same dude who used to frequent SNH, Big ups! I used to feel the same way until about his stuff until about 20 minutes ago. I mean it's definitely not stuff I'd listen to a lot, but he makes very subtle and seductive music that rolls along and smoulders as it progresses, I think more than anyone else he emphasized the potential for making super minimal music designed for sound systems. I can only realistically imagine what it would've been like to hear this on a system, and I feel like that statement is overrated, but it's so true about Loefah. It's like he takes sub frequencies and does what everyone else needs mids and highs to do.
Tornado sirens going off in the distance as I listen to this. It goes so well with the vibe of this.
Loefah just put the digi's for this on his Bandcamp. 2020 is wild.
