What awaits us after death? The Norse warriors were certain that they would meet the Valkyries on the other side. These beautiful goddesses, daughters of Odin - the god of war and warriors, would carry the heroes to the afterlife, to Valhalla. There the brave heroes fought battles and their attendants served them at the feast table. Apart from that, however, they decided the fate of the combatants - they sent them to death, gave them life, announced defeat or victory. The exceptionally beautiful golden-haired virgins wore shining helmets and armour and rode winged horses and wolves. Their weapons were spears and shields, which contrasted strongly with the delicate white robes. The Valkyries series will pay tribute to the female Germanic warriors who bravely faced the enemies they encountered. Their names are full of symbolism, which we will try to present on the coins in the most interesting way, with characteristic for us care and attention to detail.

I only ever really think of PM's from a bullion perspective but good Lord, if I ever did start buying PM collectibles it would be Germania Mint products...they really are beautiful pieces of work!
I like that they take almost as much care over the packaging/display as they do over the coin - both are stunning!

How much for a coin like this?I collect gold, no idea about silver prices! In another life, I used to, and occasionally still do, paint metal miniatures using washes, dry brushing, air brushing etc, and would love to complete this coins paint job, just to see it all painted really, it is a good looking coin but I do agree, it needs far more colour, all over!

Being 1/2 Polish, it is a source of pride to see such a beautiful piece coming out of Poland. The subtle colorization is beautiful.

I have the Helga one now I want this one. Such a beautiful medallion that it's actually on display and not sitting in my safe. I told myself this year I'm not buying any High premium silver. I guess I was wrong.

It's a shame I can't find the price or even an option to buy it on their website! I gave up in the end.

Im very lucky that i do have the high relief Hildegard as was not easy to get, and hoping to get the Ostara in time, great looking rounds.

Does it make sense to preorder them? Some are already selling these rounds for ~300€ at the moment. Germania Mint highly recommend to not preorder rounds but I don’t understand why not?!
