MadKOF definitely proved why he is EVO champ. Hopefully there will be a West Japan vs Korea match some time in the future, since I feel they are stronger, especially Kaoru since he basically soloed all the Japan players in the team tournament held during the summer.
I think he improved a lot after Evo, he won the team battle at a Japan tournament last August where there were many top players. Also he had some matches against Tenga and won most of them, and Tenga gave MadKOF a lot of trouble when Cafe ID went to Japan last January.

Team Korea redeemed themselves in this 5on5, good showing. They had two 2on2 tournaments right before this and both Korean teams got top 8 in the first one and top 4 in the second, but Japan was too dominant in the end.
LOL shows what you really know. Players have to excel in all fields. If they handle a competitive environment, then that means they aren't A+ players. As far as KOF XIII goes, the best players are in Socal, Mexico, and Korea. Reynald's modesty doesn't erase the fact that he bulldozed through everyone who mattered at top 8. I'd still bet money on Bala over any Japanese KOF player. As far as 98 and 2002 Vanilla and UM, that's hard a battle between Chinese and Mexican players.

The koreans lost too many times in casuals in japan, and couldn't break top 8/top 4 in the two tournaments KCE Cup and V-1 Final.

Strongest KOF XIII players are in socal right now. Woo put on a great show, but crumbled severely in light of Reynald stacking up those wins.
