Getting mine on Saturday. I do wish they could go faster with the releasing of the standards. Because we'll be behind the limited for years if we keep going at the rate we're going now
if your with amazon cancel your order and re order it I cancel mine yesterday and got my one today because it said arriving Saturday when I pre ordered it back in december
I wish we could get the standard editions here in Australia... would save a lot of money especially when the limited editions here are starting to go for AU$150 and upwards
Glad this has finally come out, only been ELEVEN MONTHS since the last one. Hopefully we get Season 22 sooner rather than later. With any luck in a year or so we'll probably get Season 2, but I wouldn't object to it being sooner!
I had a look the other day out of curiosity (debating whether I'd rather buy the Limited Ed. than wait) and there were literally ZERO sealed copies of Season 2 that I could find secondhand. So I really hope that they don't make us wait much longer for that one especially
Given the state of what Dr Who is now and considering how streaming services treat TV shows and their customers you should grab any physical media while you can and treasure it.
Thank you for this video very helpful. Really the only difference is basically the booklet and whether you want a more detailed than a more basic. Thanks again
Wow! Even the stanard edition releases are better than the Region 1 boxset. (I would import but it's super expensive) No booklet, no sleeve, and the discs are packed tight. I mean, these things don't really matter in the grand scheme but it would be nice. I just want the booklets. 😅
Rarewaves is great for getting Region 2 Doctor Who stuff brought over to the US. The shipping+import cost when buying from their website is only ~$5 and, unlike Amazon, they actually have proper packaging for DVDs/Blu-Rays.
I think if they do 2 limited edition releases a year in March/September then the standard editions will probably come out 2 and a bit years later in July/January
Awaiting mine today from Amazon - but was told by a troll on here when the recent limited edition was announced recently that real fans would never buy a standard one That certainly told me 😂

It isn't Eleanor Bron on the front cover of the artwork, it is Myra Frances who played Lady Adrasta in The Creature From the Pit by the way Adam.

Thanks for the comparison and review Adam
My pleasure!
That's the season of high viewers all because of ITV strike of 1979 when the season began o during September and you covered that on the main channel
prefer the standard editions to the collectors edition.

You weren’t. I’m not a troll. What I said was true, though.
