I’m so glad I found your video. Thank you I have these but I’m confused since I couldn’t find any information on my 2008 version. Your bow is clear in 2009 version. My 2009 is silver and the bow is together on the end. On 2012, the bow is open on the end.
Thank you so much for this video! It really helped. I bought Miss Dior Cherie when I was very young, 10 years ago and I loveeeeeed it!!! I was so sad it was discontinued soon after. Now in 2020 I found an original EDT version but it seems it is the older 2008 version (by looking at your video, it looks exactly the same, the bow is transparent and the bottle and label are flat) and I remember the version I had the bow was gold, and even tho the smell was pretty similar to what I remember from 10 years ago, I was pretty sure the older version I had (the 2011 version) I had was more interesting to me... Also deeper and sweeter? Not so "clean", Like you said. So, I will try to look for a bottle with the 2011 version which is wonderful :)
Is Miss Dior Cherie 2008 back? I want the one I used to wear that had notes of strawberry, patchouli, caramel, and popcorn in it. Natalie Portman was the spokesperson/model for it.
I sprayed one on paper at Sephora and loved it. And I just bought a vintage houndstooth one. I think it’s the Cherie I wanted though! Not sure I will like the vintage..
My first love, 2009 MDC is boring? Oh no 😭. I've said before that Miss Dior Cherie was my first perfume. This was the perfume I'd chosen to be my one and only perfume (it was between this and Coco Mademoiselle, so I'm amazed that the comparison was even mentioned!), "my signature", before when I thought you were to have just one. Then 2011 happened, my first run in with a reformulation. I knew immediately it wasn't the same. Thus set me off to find other perfumes and my wardrobe has since grown. I've moved away from patchouli so I've fallen a bit out of love with this one, but you looking into the history of this makes me cherish even more. I was looking at it awhile back to see what version I had between the 2005 one and the 2011 and I agree that 2009 doesn't seem to fit either scent breakdown given by fragrantica, so I'm wondering if we might have an unknown formulation? I love that you're doing this and will so enjoy watching your adventure into this! 🤍💖💕 Thanks Claire!
Not boring sorry! Just in comparison for my tastes. I’ve now got the 2012 EDP on the way, I really want to dive into the extraits but it gets a little pricey, the bottle for the current extrait is stunning though! Excited for your new / old Cherie arrival 💕
Oh I know! Hehe. It’s all personal taste. I hope you get an older version extrait! I don’t imagine the price will be any kinder to the wallet however due to new-ed interests because of your videos!
Im gutted they discontinued the Miss Dior the one with the mandarine and patchouli i miss it! It smells devine!!! I need it! I have two empty bottles!!!
The timing of this video is so apt for me! My bottle of 2005 Cherie arrived today and I love it! I owned it some years ago and needed her back! I haven't smelled the 2011 or 2009 but may try to in the future. Thanks for sharing this! The bow on your 2009 bottle looks like the EDT cap that's clear, not silver metal like all the other edps have. Maybe the seller put a different cap on?
My 2005 Cherie just turned up too!! It’s possibly the same as the 2009 version based on top notes but I’ll do a proper comparison soon. Thanks for the info re bows I didn’t know the EDTs were all clear bows.

@@Xtina19 it was on EBay, you have to be careful as so many fakes, make sure there’s pictures that show the rear of the sticker, top of cap and atomiser, if unsure I did a video of when I received a fake Miss Dior that shows what to look for. Good luck!
The only Miss Dior I have ever liked is the vintage in the houndstooth bottle. The original Miss Dior Cherie always reminded me of Coco Mademoiselle which I cannot stand. On the subject of Dior, my best friend wears Dior Addict and recently sourced a vintage bottle of the original. Holy hell, it cost a fortune as vintage scents are apparently very popular 🤷♀️
FYI.First reformulation was in 2008 for 1 year. Still very similar to the original formulation from 2005-2007 In 2009-2010, Dior reformulated it for the 2nd time Then you have the 2011 came the 3rd reformulation before the 2012 , Dior dropped the Cherie out of the name
