I love the banter. The side eyes and dismissive no's to nick's vast film knowledge are the highlights to my week. You guys are the siskel and ebert of today but with classy professionalism that is conveyed as lovers of the medium of film. Even the Toby Keith misstep you guys not only kept it but inserted the photo that had me rewinding it twice. Thank you both this channel rocks.
This was THE BEST review of this film that I have seen. You can tell you two really watched it and weren't biased in any way. I just wish the film were better.
Thank god i find someone and a channel where Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is appreciated as it should be. That is the best Indy movie for me, a fun but also dark toned rollercoaster ride that contains the best adventure spirit.
Ha! Temple of Dooms falls the the category of popular flicks that played on TV and I liked…. The internet got invented….. and EVERYBODY HATED IT….. miss the old days….
I liked Shia LaBeouf's character actually, kinda shitty how they offscreened his character 😂. Mads Mikkelsen is fantastic in everything so I'm not surprised to hear he's a standout. The movie IDENTITY is a favorite of mine. I wonder what you guys think of that 🎬
It makes sense why they did that though considering every time he’s in the limelight, something goes bad, and I believe he’s still in that lawsuit with his ex girlfriend FKA Twigs, that he admitted to abusing and apologized for. I understand why they wouldn’t want to mix themselves up in that kind of stuff, if fans already didn’t like him as a character and now they don’t even like the actor, what’s the point of the paycheck?
I can’t watch this for another couple hours after I get out of work…but I’m thrilled you reviewed this. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts. I never dreamed I would have zero interest in an Indiana Jones movie but this looks like a dumpster fire.
Does anyone remember a show called The Voyagers, where two people use. Dial of destiny type thing to travel around and have adventures in other times or places?
I did not want to see this movie because, I’m over it. However, your review has peaked my curiosity. I do make a connection between this franchise and the Goonies.
Nick, I LOVE your shirt. Crawford axing her rose garden, I think???😂😂😂😊Karen Allen is such a good actress. Wish we could get to see her more! Should they not have made this movie? Another reviewer said it should have ended with the last one bc it ended a three film trilogy.?
I enjoyed all the Indiana Jones movies (yes, even crystal skull, to a lesser degree) so I might check this out in theatres. I love most of mangolds films, with Logan being in my top 5 comic films. Great review guys!
I hated the film. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the hero, while Indy is treated like a geriatric sidekick in his own movie. Helena is so annoying. The first 30 minutes were really good, but the rest of the film is a real slog.
I actually got the impression that Vohler had a lot of respect for Indy, which is why he was hesitant to kill him. He wanted him to witness his big achievement... then, I assume, he would have killed him.
Good review! I enjoyed the movie...good summer entertainment. While it's not as good as the first three Indie movies...it is MILES above the Crystal Skull fiasco.
The first 30 minutes feels like an Indiana Jones film. But when Phoebe Waller-Bridge's character comes in, her character Helena totally ruins the film. She is so annoying. She's the hero of the film, while Harrison Ford ends up looking like a geriatric sidekick in his own movie...she's totally rude to him. This movie destroys the legacy of Indy. It should be called Indiana Jones and the Abusive Care Giver.
I just stumbled on your channel . I enjoyed your take on everything about this movie, except I really didn’t like fleabag really annoying to me in my opinion.
You both shared the story so cutely, I went back to being a kid in the early 80s , thank you~🎥🎞🎞I giggled with Joseph's note about how handsome and grumpy Harrison was back in the day 😆💋 I am a total anomaly but the appeal of Phoebe Waller-Brdige escapes me...she seems to always play a version of herself, a smart, quick but highly privileged, very elitist, myopic soul.. like I am told I need to dig her as a feminist rather than seeing anything that connects me, but I totally ackinowledge I am a Gen Xer and she is a Millennial muse, so I may just be too old to get it.
Loved your review, for my part loved the original 3, took repression drugs for crystal mah and this one, well the VFX young hot Harrison Ford was totally on board with but the rest was only so so, but for anyone your side of the world (I'm on the emerald Isle) who hasn't watched Fleabag, you guys are missing out, if for nothing else the "hot" priest in seasons 2 storyline is worth the effort...tell me I'm wrong 😊
3.5/5 stars is the perfect score for this movie. I liked it and almost didn't watch it due to the negative reviews. I would definitely watch it again, and my favorite part of the movie was when they went back in time to Greece. And I agree, more of the movie should have been them going back in time.
I don’t see how you all do it. Some of these movies would be so tempting to just walk out of. Sounds like one big chase sounds like the previous Indiana Jones films and that can get tiresome. John Wick IV turned into a chase scene. It seems to be the way a lot of directors have decided to handle the storyline. Thanks for reviewing this movie and I’ll google how long it is because I’d like to see the 2014 BC part too. Do you ever review Indian movies? I just saw the long Indian movie Adipurush and it was quite a spectacle. Three hours roughly. It was good to beat the heat on a hot afternoon.
So disappointed in this movie. All the other Indiana Jones were hopeful and full of adventure and joy. This thing is so soulless and dark. People are murdered left in right when it absolutely wasn’t needed at all. The film comes to s dead stop midway through when Indiana talks about his son being killed in Vietnam. The film is too long (30 minutes longer than any of the other 4 films) and dark as hell. When it’s over Indiana Jones and Marian are broken people dead …WTF.
Tired of Disney w rhe Marysue bullshit and destroying charafters i grew up with...these type movies do horribly over seas too yet they keep going woke...keep going broke...will Lucas by back Star Wars? Sidenote
“No one likes an unfriendly attractive person. That’s why I’m always so nice” -Joseph 👏👏
😂😂😂😂😂😂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👌🏼❤️
people don't like unfriendly unattractive person even more.
THE BEST PLUS you gonna do all 12
"Its big like a small pizza." 😂😂😂 love you guys and great review!!
Nick really be knowing his stuff! Always gotta give him props for that
I’d go to him with film questions over Google any day
Absolutely ❤
I know right if Nick ever went on Jeopardy he would win Billions for sure!! Nick is very impressive with his knowledge
Like 'really really'. Lol
Joseph: “No one likes an unfriendly handsome person; that’s why I’m always so nice” = GOLD! Lol
"You doing all 12" 🤣
I love how Joseph casually addressed Mr. Ford as GRRRL hahaha
I love the way Nick introduces the movies 😂🤣😂🤣
Wait! Not “you doing all 12”. We’re only 2 mins in. 😂😂😂

I love these reviews, saves me from seeing bad movies. It’s a public service you guys are providing 😅
I'm with Joseph, Temple of Doom is my fave. I'm glad Shia LeBouf isn't in this one! LOL
Word ❤
I love Temple of Doom
Bruh...i watch yall on my tv and i got surround sound and i thought there was a cat in my apartment 😅
Not Joseph calling her a “heffa” 😂😂😂
I have to say I really love it when Joseph says Heffa!! He's hilarious 😆
No not Heffa,,,, This Heffa 😂😂😂😂
This was THE BEST review of this film that I have seen. You can tell you two really watched it and weren't biased in any way. I just wish the film were better.
“With SEAN CONNERY….NO.”😂
“Doing all 12?”😂
I keep referring to this as The Dial Tone of Destiny now 😅
Today was a crappy day in south Mississippi it’s been about 102 today
This helps❤😊 thanks ☺️
Thank god i find someone and a channel where Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is appreciated as it should be. That is the best Indy movie for me, a fun but also dark toned rollercoaster ride that contains the best adventure spirit.
Ha! Temple of Dooms falls the the category of popular flicks that played on TV and I liked…. The internet got invented….. and EVERYBODY HATED IT….. miss the old days….
Indy was only selfish in temple of doom. Which chronologically is the first film. Raiders and Crusade Indy is all about “this belongs in a museum”
Love Joseph in denial about seeing Sean Connery 😅
Oh Joseph, if you didn’t like Phoebe in this, please pass on Fleabag. She will grind your gears.
"That's why I'm so nice!" lol
Joseph, nobody knows what Toby Keith is doing. Probably writing an overly patriotic song.
Toby Keith had cancer in 2021 I believe and I think he’s recovering. Thank God I hope for the best for him.
Mutt died and Marion and Indy estrange? Nah screw that, im rewriting this, after last crusade indy happily died at an old age with family the end.

I’m always blown away by Nick’s cinema knowledge

Well Joseph what does she look like? LMAO! A Karen?
I don't think even Mads Mikkelsen being in it is enough to make me want to see this one.
Well discussed review. I plan on seeing it and am thrilled Shia's character is not around. He was very annoying from what I remember. 😅
At least Nick does his research. He's definitely a film critic.
“You doing all 12?”…..lol
"Who's that?"
*Pause*
"Helena."
"Oh."
*Long side eye pause*
😂😂😂
I want a t-shirt that says " its big, like a small pizza". 😂
you guys seriously do the best reviews ty so much
Does anyone remember a show called The Voyagers, where two people use. Dial of destiny type thing to travel around and have adventures in other times or places?
Skull's "creepy crawlies" were ants.
I did not want to see this movie because, I’m over it. However, your review has peaked my curiosity. I do make a connection between this franchise and the Goonies.
I’m finally watching a live while it’s on yay🎉❤
Nick, I LOVE your shirt. Crawford axing her rose garden, I think???😂😂😂😊Karen Allen is such a good actress. Wish we could get to see her more! Should they not have made this movie? Another reviewer said it should have ended with the last one bc it ended a three film trilogy.?
This was a great review I'm going to start watching you guys more in the future :-)

Months later, and I still want to know what Joseph was not allowed to say about what Phoebe looks like. 😏
I actually got the impression that Vohler had a lot of respect for Indy, which is why he was hesitant to kill him. He wanted him to witness his big achievement... then, I assume, he would have killed him.

Really enjoyed this one, was fun

Your daily reminder that we need a review for The Platform aka "El Hoyo"
Much love!❤
Oh dear.
I fear that Nick's expression in the thumbnail tells me all that I need to know about this movie.
Uh oh... Nick does not look like he liked it....
I always hope for an ‘I did not care for this film’
Good review, guys. I enjoyed it
Fleabag really is fantastic.
Yes, Joseph, you're gorgeous!! We see you 🤭
I liked some of the action scenes and seeing old characters 🤷🏽♀️ I hope this is the last one
Joseph, I need to know what you think she looks like!!!!!!!!!
im here for premiere
This movie is going to lose a lot of $$$ for Disney ... Flash also projected to lose $200M for WB ...

All I want is Indiana Jones to use his whip ALOT and use his revolver…. Do I get this in this film?
Loved every minute of it 😇👏
Is there always the fade on Paramount mountains logo ?
Thanks!
Thank you!
Interesting premise but ultimately sounds like a cash cow, great review regardless guys!
Please Joseph what do you think she looks like? I must know hehe
Also hey kitty ❤
thank you, I now have no reason to ever watch this film. Wasn't planning on watching it anyway but now I know I am missing nothing.
I haven’t seen any Indiana Jones movies 🤦♀️ Fleabag is a good series!

This is not the franchise to throw time travel at. Lazy writing.
the whole film should have been set in the second world war and not in 1969. Then completely rejuvenate the whole film.
