Thank you for sharing! I am making boutonnieres and corsages for my Fall wedding. I had an idea on how to make them, but checked out a few videos to be sure it would work. A friend made some for her son's wedding with an alligator clip. I decided that was the safer way to go. Instead of a pin, I'm using a 1-1/2" alligator clip. This way, no one is pricked by the pin and it still hides well behind the boutonniere.
Thank u very much for being here for the world my dear....i,m putting together my wedding 😁😁I was looking to put my husband boutonniere and all others not too many maybe 6....and there were here with my wedding colors of flowers ,this is a perfect choice 🌿🌸🌿❤i,m done surching already u first on my list and the most simple and the last .....❤and appreciations to u 🌿🌸🌿🌸🌿🌸🤝
It's a good and simple idea. Install the safety pin together when putting up the twine so that it's easier to pin onto the dress. For those without glue gun, use super glue.
THANK YOU FOR THIS. it’s the day before homecoming and i just realized i didn’t get boutonnieres for my dates:/ but you saved me because now i can just make them tomorrow god bless your soul
Tried this, unfortunately my wife and I can't seem to figure out how to make a safety pin stay because it moves around so much. Would it be possible to make a video about how you pin something with a safety pin? Never seen anyone do that successfully
Thank you so much for doing this video!! I am using silk flowers from AFloral because that's what fits my budget but I felt so lost about how to put them together. Thanks to your video I'm finally going to start working on them. ps: my colors are also blush pink!
Hello sis.. thank u so much for the video.. its help me so much.. btw dou you know the type of the green leaves? I already search it online but i cant find the leaves.. please help me
Usiel ALCANTAR That's a good idea! I'll add that to my list and may do a full series of creative boutonnieres!! Thank you for your comment and for watching! I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend! 💕
Darci Kalish Yes, you can but without the hot glue! You can use a floral adhesive if you need but floral tape should hold if you have enough stem. Also make the boutonniere as close to the event as possible no more than a day ahead and place in the refrigerator. I hope that helps! Thank you so much for you comment! 💕
Darci Kalish Actually I don't think they'll get lost because they are two different shapes and textures. If you look at the diy ribbon wrist corsage video, I paired an off white with the baby's breath. Also the green leaves should help give it contrast as well!
Angie Deveaux I made my own boutonnieres for my wedding two years ago with the dried baby's breath and they have not changed one bit! I also think the type of dried flower makes a difference. Dried larger flowers with buds will definitely fall apart. I hope that helps, thank you for your question and for watching! 💕
Angie Deveaux put it in the freezer and it lasts a long time...I’ve had mine from a dance 6 years ago still great with a little browning on the edges is all:)

What could I use instead of twine to secure the pin to? I don’t want it to look rustic. Very helpful video!! Thank you!
Whoww! Beautiful!
I would LOVE to send you some BoutStix Floral Magnets for your next tutorial! :)

Try using hot glue. To keep it in place.
Thank you SO much for sharing this! I will be getting my supplies and attempting to re-create this. Wedding is 62 days away!!
Great video. Gonna try it for a small function I'm having for the elderly. Will use a smaller safety pin or maybe a corsage pin

So is this made the day before or day of? Does it have to be kept in water?
@ChristineMyLinh do you know exactly what the name of those green leaves are? I can’t find them on Michael’s website...

Simply Dede Thank you!! I hope you have a wonderful day! 😘
Hi, what can I use instead of floral tape? Our town doesn’t sell them and I remembered the boutonnière at the last second. The ball is on Friday.
You can use beige thread or rope and tie it around!
Thank you! Great tutorial!
What is that greenery called?
Love the hot glue tip.
Hello sis.. thank u so much for the video.. its help me so much.. btw dou you know the type of the green leaves? I already search it online but i cant find the leaves.. please help me

How long would the flower last?
I used silk flowers (faux flowers) so they will last a long time. 😁
Hi did you use silk or fresh flowers?
Hi! These are silk flowers! Thank you so much for watching! ❤❤
Nice

Can you do this procedure using easter lilies?
Darci Kalish Yes, you can but without the hot glue! You can use a floral adhesive if you need but floral tape should hold if you have enough stem. Also make the boutonniere as close to the event as possible no more than a day ahead and place in the refrigerator. I hope that helps! Thank you so much for you comment! 💕
I am using silk flowers. The easter lilies are white. Babies breath are white wouldn't they get lost with the lilies?
Darci Kalish Actually I don't think they'll get lost because they are two different shapes and textures. If you look at the diy ribbon wrist corsage video, I paired an off white with the baby's breath. Also the green leaves should help give it contrast as well!
What are they for?
do you use real flowers?
Amei!
Can you do a corsage please
i want to buy this one can you pls share the details
Nice video my friend 🍃🌹🍃Have a nice day
What are the materials needed?
Hi! The material list is in the description, but you can definitely swap any of them out for your own silk/faux flower or dried flower choices. ☺️
Do you know how the dried flowers last over time mixed in with the silk? I worry about them falling apart eventually..
Angie Deveaux I made my own boutonnieres for my wedding two years ago with the dried baby's breath and they have not changed one bit! I also think the type of dried flower makes a difference. Nice video
I am a nurse at a reha
To me twine is not formal. I would stick with floral tape.
Silk flowers vs real flowers. VERY DIFFERENT. This is a not an accurate representation of a properly made boutonnière.
