How To Get Rod of Roasting 100% of the TIME?! | Hearthstone

- Опубликовано: 15 мар 2021
- The goal of this Hearthstone Shudderwock Shaman OTK combo deck is to use Shudderwock combined with Yogg Saron! We do this by creating infinite Shudderwocks with Doppelgangster and Grumble that contains the Yogg Saron Battlecry. Then, we play Shudderwock until we get Rod of Roasting! Super fun meme deck! Good luck!

Lets face it, the other guy deserved the 'W' for his patience.
"lets face it" thats what rod of roasting said...
Perfectly "random" as all things should be.
They started with nearly the same amount of HP, so the chance of winning or losing was 50% from the beginning.
The way the Pyroblasts are distributed afterwards does not matter.
For a second, I thought it legit wasn't going to hit the other guy at all XD
eventually they'll make a "battlecry: your hero is immune this turn"
Well there's Shadowblade
blur
Just need to generate shadowblade in shaman
@@e7nn blingtron into rummaging kobold, eh?
@Lord Necrobrine that should prevent pyroblast from targeting you, right? So just that in this deck makes it 100% (except rng lol)
We have to applaud the opponent's patience. Wow, deserved the win.
I mean he was also a shudderwock player (2 years late)
The pyros to shudderwock are irrelevant, and we can model this with a simple heads (opponent) and tails (you) simulation.
The question then becomes, with 32 coin flips (the number executed in this game), what are the chances of it landing on tails 19 or more times? 18.85%
Overall, the chances of winning (in that scenario) were 43.57% (20 or more heads in 38 flips).
So yes, you were unlucky, but not exceptionally so.
Can you share the math how you get this result? The numbers feel off unless i read it incorrectly. How 19 out of 38 is 18% but 20 out of 38 is 43%
Am i misunderstanding something here?
@@sh0ker 19 out of 32, not 38, as it's the chance that Mark gets as unlucky as he did, not just that he loses.
@@sh0ker The 43.57% was the chance that he would win. The 18.85% was the chance that he would get at least as unlucky as he did.
@@FracturedStaffOfArmadyl I am not so good with math but I just don't understand how 19/32 is 18%
@@sh0ker Its like a probability bell curve. It's not that 19/32 = 18.85%, but that there is an 18.85% chance that when 32 coin flips happen that at least 19 of them are tails.
This deck would probably achieve its goal a lot easier with a plate breaker to deny your opponent armor. But it's still pretty crazy seeing that many pyroblasts
that sounds like a tryhard deck as opposed to the chad coin toss
@@huge-dude lol I definitely do not think that rod of roasting shudderwock shaman with anything is a tryhard deck
@Lord Necrobrine looool I do like that idea
haha crazy, just watched the dane video on this combo as well and saw that you just uploaded. love ur vids man, i havent played HS in years but you and firebat have such good content that i watch anyways.
Mark, you posted a video about a combo a few days ago involving 'Lightsteed' and 'Rally!' for an OTK.
The deck you used was in wild, but I figured out a way that you can pull it off in standard...in the next two weeks.
Stonetusk Boar, Bluegill Warrior, Wolfrider, two Lightsteeds, one Rally!, three or more AoE heals (Circle of Healing, Holy Ripple, Holy Nova), two Inner Fires, one Crazed Alchemist (or two Crazed Alchcemists and one Inner Fire, your call)
You'll need discounts on some of the minions use Fate Weavers, although Palm Reading could also help with the spells.
It's a big, awkward, non-competitive combo, so it seems like it'd be a prefect fit for this channel.
Love this video mark great job dude :)
Yogg giveth and Yogg taketh away!
Lmao ending... epic game, Mark!
that was an amazing way to lose. I bet that guy was just eating some popcorn watching it all go down lol.
Couldn’t you also put the “make you hero untargetable by spells and powers” battle cry so the shudderwok can’t kill you?
That's cheating.
Rod of roasting is not targeting anybody, it's just casting randomly. So that wouldn't work
i dont think yog targets.
@@LoneWolfKTG The interaction does work.
@@Blastetic holy shit, I don't think it was supposed to work like that but that's a huge surprise. Turns out I'm wrong
That was friggin hilarious dude! xD
Once Again Evidence That Yogg Is A Cruel God
I play a similar deck, but I use spirit of the frog as a card draw engine. It works really well.
How to literally turn hearthstone into a coin flip simulator
You had me at 100% Rod 😂
I still find it amazing that the game can instantly calculate the final board state for something that takes minutes to play out. It’s really so simple, but still.
Hilarious! Maybe the armor breaking dude could make it a bit more reliable?
Jmt1000 you are right of course
What's platebreaker? It doesn't exist! You can't just make up cards guys. /s
“Almost had’em”
I usually roll my eyes at streamers complaining about bad luck, but that rod of roasting was profoundly unlucky. Using an imperfect method of estimating (probability of exactly 19 heads out of 32 coin tosses), it's about an 8% chance.
Instead you should calculate the probability of 19 or more as the % as the 8% is a bit misleading while technically correct
@@halofighter111 I considered that, but it seemed misleading as well, since a result greater than 19 wasn't strictly possible (would have resulted in fewer than 32 total flips, reducing the number of possible outcomes). I am willing to accept that my approach is technically incorrect, though; it's been years since I've studied formal probability.
you have to use a binomial distribution w/ X >= 19 in 32 Bernoulli trials, which is 18.85%.
the logic of "a result greater than 19 wasn't strictly possible" is faulty reasoning, because those results fall under the same probability tree branches of Mark losing the game. Look up the arcane missile debate that Trump had a looong time ago in one of his vids.
@@chinglamyung yeah which means it’s around 1/5 if you round up, much more likely than a rounded 1/11
You can click on the yogg wheel to make the animation go faster
It's 100% rod of roasting 5% of the time
Mordresh Fire Eye (aka "Dr 10") OTK is coming... I can feel it
those were some pure mark pyroblasts
If you add Platebreaker, you negate any armor your opponent gains via Armor Vendor giving you a higher chance of winning the final coin flip.
The respect he and Dane have. My favorite hearthstoners.
Noone:
Your opponent:
**Dream luck activated**
Now I understand what you meant by your own spin on Dane's idea X'D
The shaman playing a Shudderwock deck, as he faces you
*So that’s what that feels like*
you are the BEST hearthstone creator
Why not put in plate breaker?
@Jmt1000 very true
It'd be great if this deck was meant to win xD
This is a textbook definition of never lucky.
You could combo a violet illusionist with deathspeaker to give your hero immune for 6 mana or less if reduced by some means, then spam a bunch of 1 cost shudderwocks and hope rod of roasting gets chosen
Edit: Nvm realised this wouldn't work because of grumble, worldshaker bouncing the illusionist back to hand xD
I might be dumb for asking this.. but wouldnt platebreaker be a good addition ?
You could have used that battercry that destroy your oponents armor. :)
Great video
You asked for it...
Since pyroblasts that hit minions instead of heroes have no effect on who wins I'm going to ignore all pyroblasts that hit minions.
You were at an effective health of 181 and your opponent at 192. This means it took 19 pyroblasts to your face to kill you and 20 to your opponent's to kill them.
Based on that your probability of winning was A000346(19)/4^19 = 119766321572/2^38 = 29941580393/68719476736 = 0.435707339682267047464847564697265625 = 43.5707339682267047464847564697265625%.
With a 44% probability of winning it was not a surprise that you lost the game. The surprising thing is that your opponent only took 13 hits.
The probability of your opponent only taking 13 or less hits while you take 19 is 301766029/2147483648 = 0.1405207575298845767974853515625 = 14.05207575298845767974853515625%.
A probability of 14% is not quite that high but it's still reasonable to occur. So, you got a bit unlucky but not really unlucky.
you have to use a binomial distribution w/ X >= 19 in 32 Bernoulli trials, which is 18.85%.
Owsome fuun!!
N1664, thats dane deck, awesome
Should add that dragon that removes enemy armour to this deck
Only one game? C'mon... My jaws that bite, my claws that catch
Hunter standart and wild mode rank deck ?
Why not to use the 4/3 that makes your hero immune, the 2/4 to make that minion immune and the use the shudderwock to spam yogg battlecryes?
lol the memery
Weave in a platebreaker
praise yogg
We need a showdown between you and Dane
Should have played platebreaker for better odds
I have the worst luck with these decks. After an hour I finally get the combo off and the yogg battle cry triggers immediately casting a spell which fills my board thus preventing my shudder from returning to my hand.........
Win or lose, mark still won
Actually sort of viable with platebreaker
It's a miracle everyone! Mark has reached the rank of Silver 9!
Go Dane! ... wait ... :)
Going throu ur vids made me reinstall hs, I'm enjoying it and can't wait for the new update, even tho i've always been f2p i'll take on the grind so I can play fun decks like these
Dane has entered the chat.
rod of roasting more like rod of losing
Why does Pyroblast always most likely to hit the player's face than the opponent's?
Fake news
I wish you'd still post deck codes in the description :\
The deck code is in the description
@@khickling3746 It wasn't before :)
just so you know, if you click the yog wheel it stops quicker!
Hearthstone with the balanced rng as usual
How long did that game last?
He started at 10.30AM and ended at 10.51AM
If you can get to 500 armor it kills the opponent by default.
Ok, now put platebreaker in the deck
amogus drip
If you use only yogg you get it 100% of the time 5% of the time
Toasty toasty
Talk about russian roulette!
The most hilarious odds ever!
Add armor breaker.
Play a Platebreaker!!!
Platebreaker would've helped
As overly complicated winning strats go - that wasn;t the best. [Understatement]
we need to see you in 1080p!!!
Why
this, but with c'thun instead of yogg
Win the game. Sometimes
that didnt seem like 50 50
Where’s platbreaker?!
Spel
For the last chance of lethal the 9 in a row was about 0.19% :'(
that was no 0
Why not run violet illusionist? It’s pretty likely to go off unless yogg casts Rod first
not a battlecry
@@epicgamer3840 actually it is and works. I think mark wanted to be less "winning game" and most "fun game"
@@anieuwu173 Violet illusionist is a static ability, not a battlecry, but it does work so long as the pyroblasts don't hit the illusionist.
@@anieuwu173 You might be thinking of Spellward Jeweler, which is a battlecry and does work to avoid pyros.
There is a minion that gives your Hero "Can't be targeted by spells and Hero Power" Not the Kobold Monk, another minion that gives it as a Battlecry.
u need Platebreaker
I thought it was a mage, BUT IT'S HIM, SHAMAN!
Am I high or the yogg's wheel is not spinning in the same direction each time ?
Never fuckin' lucky...
Yogg is a pepega
Yogg to the face. When the game calls you a douche and rinses you as it should...
battlegrounds in standard
Odds are about 10.98% for Mark to get hit 18 times while his opponent only gets hit 14 times or fewer. Fairly unlucky!
Edit: I was wrong about Mark's health, and someone beat me to it. Drat.
Lmao that’s what you get for breaking the game.
Da quando è uscito questo Yogg ho visto più cose negative che positive. Almeno il vecchio faceva solo puzzle box. 😒
If you close your eyes and watch this, it sounds like Kermit the frog playing Hearthstone.
The real OTKM (one turn kill myself).
50/50 my ass. Blizzard can't code rng for shit.
And people wonder why wild isn't played more....
What a toxic card.
That was awful
