Hi, really nice guide thank you for taking the time to break down the cards and Strategy. However I want to vent about the Archetype (even if it’s to the void) lol I took a break from Master Duel back when diamond was the highest rank. I’m slowly getting back into it again but right now I keep coming across Mikanko Splashed with newer Dogmatika Stuff or Kashtira. I burn my tools to fight off or out one Strat and then they swap to the other. These deck Archetypes and Engines are so small, CONSISTENT and play with little investment/ limitations After all the Hard Work and Time It takes to play around them it’s annoying to lose to a stupid Mikanko Head-butt for game ughhh …. Anyway that’s my rant thanks for listening lol 😅

As a mikanko player it reigns supreme in the lower ranks. But once I got to gold, it's limitations shows. That's when I changed it up to other hybrid decks (mikanko/Kaju, mikanko/ kashtira). Yet to have tried mikanko/snake-eyes. This deck was my first in master duel and still my favorite, but I had to switch to pure kashtira or kashtira/tearlements to have a winning chance in the upper ranks. Its weak point is the equip spell to monster engine. With angelica's angelic ring, metalsilver armor and little knight, it does some good to stop your opponents quick affect and traps.
Bro…let us live!! 😭😭😭 But seriously, you nailed it. Non-targeting backrow hate is crippling. I think that’s why you’re seeing the archetype branch off into creating 1-2 omni negates to fend that threat off.
@@lowtierhero_it was a great job all around!! I will say this as a consideration: if Huli is up (and if an equip is on the field), you can’t target any Mikanko card. So imperm or book of moon is nulled. Also TCBOO works in Mikanko’s favour because they are all different types/attributes. Just things to consider!
Just started master duel a couple days ago. Tired of mikanko. Started looking into cards that flip them face down. Seems an easy fix. It will get rid of any equipped cards.
Other easy fix.. use their monsters as tribute or material for fusion. ORRR. dont put monsters ?.? If they have zero attack. Idk about that mast part just an untested thought. Most mikanko don't play anything else.
@@Psalm_107.31 never leave your field wide open! They will OTK you with an equip spell (forgot the name). But yes, book of moon, eclipse and the trap Daruma will literally halt everything except for the green Mikanko because it can’t be targeted so watch out for that!
@@lowtierhero_ it's double-edged sword, and yes, if you leave your field open they WILL OTK you. you might be able to get around it one time since its a 4 card setup, but any more than one turn and they'll decimate you for an open field. I don't really need cards I can put into my regular deck. I just want a specific hard counter to only mikanko. Mikanko equips are monsters have conditional effects that prevent targets to mon/spell. Best thing to do is beat them before they build their backrow. Book of moon, eclipse, daruma, cosmic cyclone- are all beneficial.
Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon is an amazing counter. Negates all effects (meaning you don't take damage and they're not safe from damage) and lets it attack twice, if the Mikanko player decides to activate any spell or trap Tachyon will gain an extra 1,000 ATK on top of the 3,000 it already had, being able to attack twice into 0 ATK monsters that have no effects with 3,000 or 4,000 ATK? Easy OTK on the most toxic, cancerous deck in Master Duel (imo, i hate Mikanko) . Even if Tachyon can't kill outright all their effects are still negated for the turn meaning any other monsters you control can swing at them no problem. Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon isn't even hard to bring out either, just two level 8 monsters and you have Mikanko Kryptonite. I run Tachyon in my Labyrinth deck for that exact reason.
@@lowtierhero_I suppose it depends on the deck you're running, for me nearly all my decks can bring out level 8 monsters quickly and easily so to me it's not too niche but i do see how it could be. Like my Labyrinth, Red Dragon Archfiend and Galaxy decks can bring out a Tachyon in 1-2 turns if needed (Obviously Galaxy has no trouble as Tachyon is a Galaxy card) but my Rokket/Dragon Link deck can't run Tachyon because it doesn't have much access to level 8 monsters. My opinion is if you do have easy access to level 8s there is no harm running Tachyon if your deck struggles against Mikanko. So I'd agree that it's somewhat niche but still pretty accessable as long as you have level 8 monsters, that's just my opinion tho.
It’s good against ha re (fire) and ni ni (water) because they can be targeted without equip and with equip depending on the equip spell. The one that can’t be targeted is hu li (wind) so don’t try and use it on her because you won’t be able to 😌🫱🏼🫲🏻
@@lowtierhero_ never mind I was thinking about the trap card that equips all equips to 1 monster. Trying out malevolent catastrophe vs them it’s pretty funny
The thing with cards like that- it's too specific to the archetype; there's no meta basis for use, unless we go into an equip meta, lol. Otherwise, it would have made for a solid choice! :D @@ronaldorellana8890

this deck somehow very popular now. the green one most annoying
It’s a great option vs meta! Also no extra deck needed so it’s very budget friendly. Green is very frustrating.
Mikanko is basically summon green, red, blue and yellow. Crash them
If in gy just use the spell to bring them back
