I'm so glad I found Niccaman's channel. Of all the BF content creators, you rarely find any who specialise in aircraft. I love piloting in this game and it's welcome to see someone who makes this kind of content.
The Bf109 did have the advantage of a injection engine. So they could easily fly a looping. The Spitfire used a carburetor. So the engine would overflow and shut down. Later in the war this was adressed. Both had their advantage. The spitfire had a roomier, more comfy cockpit and a seamless perspex ball as a canopy. Enhancing visibility. Also, to bail out you pulled a handle and slid it back on a rail. The Bf109 followed a different philosofy. They took the lightest airframe possible and jammed in a big powerful engine. They regularly used methanol injection as well. They carried a tank of Methanol (MW50) wich could at a press of a button. Be injected into the engine. This provided a extra 500hp to the engine. It was effective until 6000m. A tank was good for two 10 minutes ‘boosts’. Earlier in the war the engine made around 1600hp. With this system it would suddenly make over 2000hp. The weapons on the Bf109 were a bit heavier too. The spitfires quickly caught up. But they were equipped with 8x .303 machineguns. Wich offer more spread and strafing capability. The Germans used 13mm machineguns and 20mm autocannons. Wich “could tear off the wing of a B-17” It didn’t take many of these to take the plane apart. Their squared glazed cockpit allowed the application of Panzerglass as well. This is armored glass used in tanks. Thus making it ‘bulletproof’ to the light .303 rounds. It made the canopy a lot heavier. And due to the nature of it having to be lifted and flipped over in order to bail out. This was a hazard to the pilots. Wich didn’t have much space inside their cockpits. Most German pilots did use a small trick. If they were to bail, they flew the plane on its back. So the gravity would lift the canopy and get them out of the seat when they released the buckle. Due to the injection engines, the planes did not have a problem flying upside down. I think they were impressive machines. Both sides contributed to the technology we currently have. These men were the knights of the sky. Their sacrifices should not be forgotten. Whatever side they were on, they deserve respect and eternal peace.
Hey Nicca you should try the Bf109 G2 with the double 20mm cannons and the 2 rockets, its quite nice in air vs air and air vs ground! BTW the white and red skin for it is so beautiful.
11:20 when he talks about how tanks can kill you easily, I remember when one day I was playing hamada either on grand operations or strategic conquest and I was on the German side after getting shot down by valentine flaks at the worst moments I got in my tiger tank and as I do I go out and get kills and one time I retreat to resupply and I notice a spitfire flying low and I just say to myself" if I miss this shot trying to hit that plane, I'm gay" and I just shot and boom I was so excited and hyped up Thx for bringing back them memories

Chris Lee nope he choice the vb, the va is way better for straving with the 8x .303 and is has 2x 250lb boms so no the va is way better plus him saying the g2 or g6 are bad is just bullshit the g2 is perfect for plane to plane and with the rockets and the 4 guns it can be used for straves but the g6 is superior for straving

Nicca, as one of the best pilots in BF5 PS4... I should tell you that you can get a lot of kills shooting at the infantry using the machine guns from the Spitfire VA, Messerschmitt G2 AND G6 aswell... You just need to be accurate ;)... My best rounds were 63-0 in a Spitfire VA and 51-0 in the new Mercury map using the Messerschmitt G6

Your primary cannons are the 20mm Hispanos, the ones that are on the Mosquito except there’s only 2, and I’m pretty sure that the other cannons are just .303. You also get 8 rockets but it fires 2 at a time, one off of each wing

The BF109 with the two missiles is good on this map as well. German side has a distinct advantage if someone spawns in an AA tank - they can really cover that plane refresh point on the small island. Best bet is to fly out of bounds along the hill tops (I think we get a longer count down in this map for being out of bounds) and refresh ammo/health on the German side. Map looks great.
I love using the bf-109 G-2 for ground fighting. It's high speed makes bombing runs really hard to defend against. You need to equip the spotting camera and the 250kg bombs x2. Slightly tilt the nose up and then snap and photo and the map will light up (for your team as well which is another reason I love using this) with enemies. Then just pick two targets, drop two bombs, and get two kills. Reload. Repeat. ;)
The atmospheric effects on this map are a little weird. Seems like things get blue/purple at distances that are too close and stays too dark. It is like they designed it to look right when you are on or near the ground but when you fly up, it doesn't seem to react the way that particulates or moisture in the air would.
You just spat in the face of several hundred pilots worldwide. This game has the easiest flying to date in battlefield because learning curves are “inaccessible” Bf3/Bf4 dogfighters are the goats
Being primly ground men it was so awesome seeing the new map and you could see how people gotten use to the old maps everyone was almost lost there was a nice amount of cover hide in buildings they could also be the end to some people using explosives or the att sniper could easily take out buildings and destroy people hiding in buildings may also get a lucky one hit kill wall bang it's a very nice and close cortter feeling MMGS have a bigger chance of leveling up easier for infinity to dodge and maneuver around tanks there is a spot that has a ride that overlooks most of the objects it was very fun to play on
I swear I seen more people bailing out of planes during this update. Probably from those 8x .303s on the Spitfire VA... Or the default 20mm of the Bf109 G-6... Or anything really...

I looked it up and it says the Germans and Italians were successful in taking the Island as the British Forces of UK, Australia and New Zealand were not able to defend this island off of Greece. Britain retreated to Egypt and remaining Greek forces surrendered.
Similar to what Chicha said except for what ever reason I cannot get freeview to work. Get up to a high point, turn onto your target - let's say it's C - get into first person - hit the brake - zoom in your vision and just concentrate looking at one small area. If nothing, look at another small area to the side of the area you were looking at. By now you are running out of time so you either see a target and react or you abort the run and pull up. I find that if I am trying to look at too wide an area for the enemy, it makes it harder to spot them - too much sensory over load. Concentrating on one small area as you dive makes it easier for the eye/brain to compute and analyse.

I wish fighters were more skill than luck. If you have a fighter on you best thing you can do is either try and force him into the ground or pull back on throttle and hope they pass you
I got 27 kills with the G6 on this map, I think the G6 is still better than the VB, but you can't rely on the blast damage of the Minengeschoss, you need to actually hit the infantry's body with the Explosive rounds

Nice video, one tip: ping is squad based, so no point in asking a blue teammate to "mark the tank"
Only way to spot a tank for anyone on the team is by using the monocular spotting, by the looks of it, he doesn't know.

This map is great for flying. Yesterday i took down nine bombers and fighters and i didn,t crash once.
At 3:38 Those cannons are French-designed, British-made Hispano 20 mils. Just in case you still wanted to know...

109 with explosive 20mm rounds and rockets does a lot of damage to ground targets aswell

That's what I do, but they stay silent and dont fire so I go back up, shoot flares, and they spray me with MG fire. Repeat that.

I’ve found that you can use the 8x machine guns (spitfire vb) at ground infantry and it’s pretty effective.
The map is gorgeous, especially in 4k!!
This is a stretch but they should add naval battles and everyone has a part to do in the ship to keep it running or shooting
