I like how Silver and the Chaotix are THOSE characters that haven't ever been seen in an episode but still make small cameos from time to time.
Also, I think Rouge was spotted in “Dinner for two”, and in the QnA, Sonic mentions that if Eggman tried to take over the show, Sonic would hire Omega to defend his claim to the show.
Silver is the most relatable to me

I love how the characters have their own consistent traits & quirks! Eggman's sock puppet, Shadow's love of guns, Cream's...issues, Tails' drug addiction, etc. It gives the series such a distinct sense of identity!
