Can fully understand about players being overworked and the stress it puts on the body playing so many games in quick succession without time to recover.
However, that is one of the points of squad rotation; to protect players. Managers need to make sure that every player in the squad is getting coached well enough on the tactics and style of play throughout the training week so that if for whatever reason someone that doesn’t normally start needs to come in they can do so seamlessly.
Having more subs is supporting with the issue.

Start putting players on pay when you play contracts and we’ll see how tired they are

The issue is that only roughly 10% or so are playing way too many games while the other lets say 75-90% aren’t playing enough! U can’t say players need rest but then say Rice wants to play every game and then when he has a bad game or two use it as a narrative or excuse which is what keeps happening!

Embarrassing! Not sure about players going on strike I think fans should and teach them a lesson

Absolute rubbish. The fans pay more now for tickets or TV subscription than ever. The big teams have bigger squads than ever and there are now 5 subs per game. Why should fans accept that squad players sat on the bench that still earn more than they earn in a year per week, feel sorry that the first team players need to be rested a little more. That’s what managers are for.

How much of the international breaks do you watch??? Shut up man😂

But then again, they are dropping like mosquitoes. Even rotations might not even help as teams need to complete for major silverware and need their best players. Man city has literally have 8 players meaning that only 13 outfield players available for the weeknd

@@tinotagwireyi5821 A couple of points I would make. Big clubs have academy players that they have poached from the best crop across the country. The same clubs send those youngsters out on loan to get experience. Those young players could be the future of the National side. Why can they not play a game or two per season to allow for the first teamers to get a rest? All teams would be on the same footing, so there is no excuse there. And with regards to the quality dropping, I would wager that given time, those fringe players would get better due to the added game time. I have no sympathy for the top players complaining about playing too many games when I can guarantee they don't hesitate to gain the largest pay packet they can get when it's new contract time.

@lebowskichildpow8299 I can see your points, which are very valid. But we got to remember that most big clubs wouldn't play these youngsters due to being long-term solution when teams are in win now mode. My solution is to scrap multiple intercontinental competitions such as the CWC and etc because the moment those games are being played, the injury rate will spike like never before

Those so called “experts” from talksport said player just complaint too much when Rodri mention this problem. And now they claimed too much game when Arsenal have injuries.

Too many pointless games that's the problem that's why the quality is going down in football. Get rid of efl cup keep fa cup. Cut down pointless international games stop expanding tournaments

Glad Nolan reminded them that city best player is out for the season because I know talksport would rather talk about “poor Arsenal” with two players injured and Tierney who’s on the transfer list 🙄

Players dont play more now than they did in 2000 and today there are 5 subs and bigger squads. This constant nonsense drives fans crazy. Paid millions to kick a ball around.

Players do at most 13 hours a week and get paid a years wage in a week, Stop this. Im a gunner but footballers are like Diva's now, a lil work and they wanna complain. Life is easy 4 them.

It's been 2 days and no talksport football pundit has mentioned Nwanieri and the banger!! He scored against Preston, i mean every youngstar gets a mention when he does good but not Arsenal's, they only like to mention the negatives about Arsenal like this topic now it's appalling and shameful period!

  • @adeo767
    @adeo767 Месяц назад

“Arsenal injury woes” they literally have like 2-3 injuries while Man City have like 10 but media would rather talk about Arsenal “woes” because they are so desperate for another team to win the title. They literally only talked about Rodri season ending ACL for like 2 secs and forgot it the next day. I’m so glad he went to collect his ballon d’or in crutches but the journalist who are on Arteta’s payroll said fck all. Thank God Nolan reminded them that Man City best player is out for the season coz talksport should rather talk about “poor Arsenal”

Scrap international breaks. Or if not stop having the elite players go and play friendlies and fake competitions like Nations League during the season. Let the next tier get some caps. Nobody cares about nations league or friendlies and this is actually what is causing fixture congestion. Let the big time players play WC/Euro qualifiers other than that scrap the internationals.

Got bigger contracts, bigger clauses to benefit them via appearance fees and bonuses, bigger squads, more subs available per game...and still its not enough. Piss off. Pretending that the successful sides of the 70's-90's didn't play 50+ games with 0-3 subs on shocking pitches with inferior equipment to today. Pathetic cry babies.

You can try running 10km 3 times per week with physical contacts and fast sprinting in between.
Now, if you do that everyday, your heart will stop functioning after a month.
So there is a point that a human body just can’t physically stand the workload.
