In that environment; the murky, low visibility waters of a sunken vessel which has become a watery grave for the crewmen, it would be bad enough to find bodies even though you know that your purpose is to look for bodies and that you know there are going to be bodies in there.
I cannot imagine having to do that; just downright eerie, you know…
Having a ‘dead body’ suddenly grab me back like that… for a second that must have been pure nightmare fuel.

Just imagine being alone, freezing in the absolute pitch black. You have absolutly no sense of time. You don't know whether its day or night, what day it is, how long you have been there, no referance to hang onto. A living nightmare. Imagine falling asleep from utter exhaustion and waking up realising that you're not in your bedroom in the dark. Instead you instantly remember what had happend and the unimaginable hell continues. It's nearly enough to lose sanety just sitting at home thinking about it.

the story of him surviving like that is so crazy that if they did not have proof of it, noone would belive it.
now, take this incident as a example and now know that he is not the only one who got traped inside a airpocket in a sinking ship, the only difference is taht he is the only one who survived to tell the tale, all those sunk subs and ships during WW2, the odds are very high some, or even many of those ships had survivors inside airpockets, stuck in there for days until they suffocated, others remained alive for no more then a few seconds to a couple minutes as the ship sank so deep that the pocket they where in imploded from the pressure, the last thing they would have heard is the rushing of water all around and the ever increasing strained creaking of the metal, if they had a flashlight they may have even been able to see the walls starting to deform as they start to buckling to the pressure, but most likely, it gave way in a instant and they died in a near instant as well from the immense sudden change in pressure, quiet literally hitting them with enough force to cave in their chest, crushing their organs, as if hit by a speeding truck.

Fiction only wishes it could create a story like this. Just incredible. Edit: bloody rogue waves... You imagine a rogue wave to catch boats out in the middle of nowhere. This tug was with other tugs pushing a barge and the only vessel to get swamped was that tug... that is just so unsuspecting. Maybe tugs/ships should all have air chamber compartments in addition to the life boats in cases such as this one, when the crew don't have the luxury to launch the raft/lifeboat in time.

Ive seen a few videos on this story, even watched the full rescue video (which is on youtube) and never knew that he became a commercial diver. Thats cool. A few of the videos said that he has nightmares sometimes waking up thinking hes in a sinking ship. But im sure that would happen to most people. Also, i thought that he was at 300ft because thats what most the videos i watched said, ive seen a lot of conflicting reports of the depth he was stuck at. I like how this video looked into the diving aspect of the rescue the most, very cool.

Wow that's an amazing story. Out hits home with me maybe more than most because I used to work in maritime security, and one lid the vessels I worked on was the Bibby Sapphire, it's a dive support vessel much the same as the one in this story, and is the twin sister ship of the Bibby vessel in the Netflix documentary. I met a lot of people and became really good friends with some of them from that ship. And I gained a lot of knowledge and respect for the crews, and the amazing work they do. The guys that were assigned to the chamber the only time I worked on it when, there were divers present, we're colloquially known as "the crazy Russians", and seeing them half clad in the chamber really gives you an idea of why your have to be crazy to do it. Sure the money is good, but it's tiny, and cramped, and sure smells lovely...there's no amount of money that would suffice me doing that job. Hearing, stories like these, and like that of the Netflix doc, which is the Topaz I believe, anyway hearing these sorts of stories reminds me of what a powerful God we serve, and how incredible he made us that we can achieve the "'impossible". I believe he does it sometimes just to remind those of us that believe, and to hopefully show those who don't that he is in control, and nothing is random. Anyway good story, it made my night a little better as I navigate my own problematic storm, it just acts as a reminder that no matter how bad my problems are, there's always someone somewhere that would trade with me without a second thought.
Consider this, there's no such thing as coincidence...only co-incidents.

Sometimes I think when people comment…… they are more interested in advertising their ‘superior’ knowledge than making their ‘useful’ point.
For what purpose, only they know.
These videos are spot on for content - informative, entertaining and accurate enough for the vast majority of viewers.
The first thought I had watching, was that I’ve found an underwater version of “fascinating horror”. If you’ve seen that channel you will know this is definitely a complement.
Great work, thank you for making these videos!

Thanks. I do know Fascinating Horror and so that is very well received. I really appreciate that.
I get what you are saying. For me, I really do appreciate when people more knowledgeable than me, let me know the exact, correct, precise technical points. I used to teach recreational scuba diving so I like the topic. I also run another channel about how to scuba dive and Im always looking for the best, simplest, most interesting way to explain an otherwise complex piece of information. Its a personal challenge.
I watch a lot of these kinds of videos and I appreciate the details. Particularly when the reason its dangerous is because of the details. If the details are well understood I think it heightens the story.
Equally so, I think it has to be digestible and entertaining and if its technical just for the sake of it then, why watch?. A balance I guess. In another video someone said they appreciate that I treat the audience with a level of sophistication. I hope to live up to that.
