Not sure why anyone would think this college is bad...it has some excellent online debates. I could care less if its left or right. I look at the value of the content
Agreed, I think it gets a lot of attention for its more right-wing leanings and sometimes that triggers people for no good reason. Personally, though, I think if you're going to attend a college, you should consider what kind of people you'll be around. But academically speaking, I don't really see anything negative here.
That's pretty accurate seeing as they don't take federal funding, which means any aid is institutional and not government granted. Ergo, donors are vital and they clearly have a more conservative donor base. Rural location also factors in to an extent. At the same time, I didn't get the feeling that other people weren't welcome or that you _had_ to be conservative if you wanted to go there.
Hillsdale college is cool! Long term resident though, the town is literally full of cracked out druggy people 👎👎👎 If you decide to come here, stay around the college area
Sadly that's the case for a lot of rural towns these days with all the fentanyl and H running around. My aunt lives out in a small town like that and we see the same over there. Most of those people are harmless though. Appreciate you sharing!
Hillsdale College is a signatory on the Project 2025 plan to advance conservative ideals after the next election. Their "ideals" include doing away with the Department of Education, referring to school lunch programs as "resembling entitlement programs," eliminating women's right to full health care, forcing their idea of "gender conformity" on our population. And Hillsdale College is a signator of this document!! It's hard to believe anyone--especially a college counselor--would encourage young people to attend this indoctrination center.
Don't take this video as an endorsement. I'm merely showing people options. I would never make an actual recommendation or encourage someone to attend without knowing them and evaluating their preferences, budget, and academic interests. That's what real college counselors do.
Got any actual reasons for such a serious claim? They're accredited, decently ranked among Liberal Arts Colleges, and while I realize they have a rather unique approach to things, I think it's good that there's a diversity of colleges to choose from. So, again. Back up your claim. How is it a scam?

You could have simply said based and left it at that.
What a scam
