Thats awesome, big ole 6 genetics were strong in that area. And I didn't know the outdoor channel used to show real hunting at one point! love the videos
That no longer is a thing on Management Land. It’s open public land if you buy a management permit for 25 bucks. Live In Mississippi hunted public land most my life
That's not true. They still do draw hunts at several WMAs and they do the October doe rifle hunt to earn a buck tag for a later draw hunt at some of them.
I hunted without a harness until my climbing stand broke 2002. I fell 21 feet messed my back up pretty bad. I’m lucky to be alive I can’t stress to you how important wearing a harness and wearing it correctly is
Anybody that thinks Mississippi WMA limited draw hunts decrease hunting pressure and maintain a closer buck;doe ratio has never drawn for Mahannah or Twin Oaks!!lol!!
@@doityourselfhunter9031 you recorded this 20 years ago who gives a hell where you hunt😂😂 it’s public freaking land and you’re guarding it like it’s some close kept secret
@@alliebarnett3143 If it was open public land I could understand, but this was a draw hunt, so I don't understand why he would be so secretive about it. They only draw a certain number of people anyway.

Note no safety harness or anything. At some point I think we all hunted that way.

What did it weigh
I think it was 204 live weight.
Quick to note Todd unloaded his gun but forgot his belt.
18 plus years ago I don't think many were using a safety belt
