Nice Work! Stripping baskets are a must have fishing sea trout at home, but I wasn`t sure about bringing one when travelling central america - i will definitely!
NICE..i like DIY better then fly shops made in china ones... foam is better too so when you hit your hard on it i, it wont hurt like plastic hard baskets
Hey Mikel, can you comment on fishing the rock shoreline between the Grand Palladium and the Dolphin Discovery? I plan to explore that little stretch of shoreline to the south of GP and could use some advice on what I can expect to catch, patterns, gear, footwear, etc.. That area looks very fishy. Will I get hassled? Perhaps I will walk north and check out your home beach.
Not a huge fan of stripper baskets, have used them a time or two, but somtimes I'm in little deepr water than hip deep I have a few of these mats in the shop... well.... maybe not for long. Great video
It depends! Some years could be good! others so bad! There’s no way to go thru a year with out couple tons piled up on few meters of beach. Some people talking about this year could be rough on seaweed. (Never know).. The only good thing about the seaweed is good fishing! Lots of bones, permit and tarpon 😃🎣

Nylon. I got them from the grass trimmer machine. Could also use monofilament 150lb 200lb
