Want to seek for your advice. I just changed a new cartridge for the same printer. But the page printed out with a lot of horizontal black bands. The cartridge is compatible type. I checked on the drum after printing. There are strips of blank ink adhered on the drum. Do you know what is the problem and how to solve it?
It's useful followed step by step I was facing half light page and half print was dark now I filled it first problem is that the font is now lighter altough it print full page but in lighter color second is how can we know that it's filled full how much amount can we put into as I can't weight it.. I'm having hp p1102
as it is a very cheap model of hp you need to replace the cartridge reset chip also after replacing the chip the print will be normal again moreover, you need to replace the chip each time win you refill the cartridge.
Before filling new ink you first you need to discard previous ink remember if you do not discard previous remaining ink properly from storage and wast area then you will face the problem as mentioned above half light and half dark.. Furthermore it is a cheap model (P1102) so every time you refill the ink you need to replace the toner reset chip as well because that chip holds the record that how much cartridge left once the chip status is empty then there is no way to reset it back so every time you refill the cartridge you need to replace the chip as well. that chip cost nothing 0.06 to 0.07 USD / one piece so you can easily get that chip from any online store e.g. Aliexpress.

it's never Worth refilling the toner. it's always best to replace it with a genuine toner. based on experience I've had way too many problems trying to save a few pennies by refilling a toner.

it means u have to change its drum...that blue or green colored thingy made of glass
