These larger than life Heros are not Democrats, not Republicans, not Independents. They are AMERICANS who paid the dearest price as they Championed what makes this The Best Country that ever was, is, and will ever be. We need them to be whispering into the Hearts and Souls of those who lead us here as we see 2025 peering over the horizon. God, we need these Giants back !

I was 8 when JFK died. I was a teenager when Martin and RFK died. I had a little sense of what was going on at the time politically. but never was interested in politics. I used to see pictures of the Vietnam War on TV, the riots, the killings of John, Martin and Bobby. It was a lot to take in. It seems every generation had a war, my father was born during WWI in Italy, He served in WWII. My older brother was born during that war, 1943. My middle brother was born during the Korean War. We all experienced the Vietnam War and all the other wars after that.

I couldn't have been very old when Bobby Kennedy Kennedy was assassinated that I can remember picking up the newspaper and seeing him on an operating table being operated on to remove the bullet within speculating whether or not he live or not. And I can remember JFK's funeral which would have made me about 3 years old. I say kids don't remember things. But I would have been three when Kennedy was assassinated, I was born in 1959. The very last past with Bobby Kennedy always makes me cry. The very day i graduated from high school was the day of his funeral train procession. Surreal doesn't begin to characterize it. And here we are, almost 60 years later. With democracy hanging in the balance. The state of not just this country, but the overall world situation, causes me great concern and fear. I feel we're on the cusp of something none of us can imagine or really be prepared for. I wish Jack and Martin and Bobby were all still here. Like someone else said in these comments, can't help but think they would be appalled by the state of things now.

RFK, Jr is an anathema to his father's and uncle's tenets. I was very young but I remember Bobby Kennedy. His son is nothing like him. He espouses some pretty bizarre things like antivax. Cannot get behind that. One of the main reasons we live relatively healthy lives today is because of vaccines eliminating things like polio.

Facts: Lincoln was a Republican. The Republican Party was started to oppose the extension of slavery. More Republican Congressmen than Democrats voted to end Jim Crow laws.
Fact: John Kennedy was shot by a man with pro-communist sympathies. Robert Kennedy was shot by a Palestinian terrorist.
Neither Kennedy was killed by a racist or white supremacist. Martin Luther King and Abraham Lincoln-both Republicans-were.
Now, that settled, great and inspiring tribute. Peace.

@@jmrx12 agree and I never thought Bush jr was self serving or Narcissist like Donald Trump, it was all about him, the Power with Donald, not so with Bush, he cared for ppl but by the end of his term we were in a severe Recession in which Obama took us out of and got our economy back on track pretty quickly, he cared greatly for ALL Americans unlike DJT who only liked ppl who kissed his azz or backed him no matter what Outrageous crazy things he did and then topped it off with HIS Insurrection!! Funny how I ran across this,, 10yrs later... Thank God, Hillary did get in as POTUS!!!! Finally have someone with enough brains and will, to turn this country around from where the Democratic party was leading us. Sure you dont like Donald Trump (and I don't care for a lot of what he has done) but SOMEONE has to stand up instead of making the US easy pray for other countries . Forget the "Reset" button already? or perhaps "Red lines in the sand". THAT is not what makes America Strong

    1. Very were alive the Year this song came out the Year he died (They had to be at least 103 years old)
    2. He was 56 years old, not exactly Young compared to the OTHERS!

An interesting comment. As you can see I have not removed your thoughts from my page because I feel you have the right givin to you under our Constitution to voice your opinions without fear of reprisal. But I wonder what would have happened if you had made remarkes like that about Hitler during the Third Reich. Best case senario is, that you would have been dragged from your home by the Gestapo and never heard from again. Just some food for thought.
