i was confused at first when i saw the title since i though that root motion wasn't that complicated of a topic to have a 4 minute on, but i was wrong. i thought there was only one type of root motion which is why i've always avoided it, but this actually seems very useful. thanks!
yes it's quite complex but i hope this video helps :) i've seen some people ignoring all the options and saying "it doesn't work", which is one of reasons why i made this video. depending on your game design i think root motion can be useful. as for my projects i have limited use cases but it's nice to understand the technical stuff.
"root contains position and rotation curves". I'm exporting from blender but have it set to locally and instead of globally but i still get this error. Can you help me solve it. Id really appreciate any help you could give me
@@Roundbeargames Do you know how to solve it? So far I’m just testing simple animations and they’ll animate correctly, but they’ll jump position so I know the coordinates or it’s position in space isn’t transferring properly from blender to unity.

Thanks for this .... that motion visual chart is the BEST! Makes it sooooo much easier to understand.

Honestly, I saw your notification, I came online!
Love your contents and I hope that you will grow soon enough!
thanks for comin! let's hope it happens :)
Very professional explanation
thanks. a version 2 is coming soon :)
I don't really understand how to use root motion with colliders
My character just goes through walls, is there a way to fix it?
Gotta look into physics settings + you need to write the code
I came looking for cooper and found gold!
enjoy! 😂😂😂
@@Roundbeargames Who is Cooper?
@@drr1867 just a guess, but probably a guy named Cooper.
Actually, just found him on Fb. As i expected, he's a Cooper.

Depends on what youre trying to do with your project

Thank you so much for this!
i hope it helps! :)
What about Motion matching?
what do you mean
thanks you beast
Thank you
thanks for this
youre welcome :)
Root motion is more realistic than script move, but you need a animations motion matching AAA :/
yes. i'm not a huge fan of root motion myself but it does have its uses :)
That's the best explanation of this topic on RUclips.
Thank u so much
have fun :)
you sound like ads commercial :P
😛
I don't understand anything that you said ...
lulz
thank you
enjoy
