Lol
I used to live in japan until I was 7. I had a best friend there and we lost contact because we had no social media at that time. Then I coincidently found him on twitter because of picture from our last summer.
There's this thing: most east asians DON'T look like any of those bleached and clinically modified idols, plus, I'm half brazilian and he is from okinawa, we both have naturally brown-ish skin and we tan easily.
In that pic, we basically spent our last weeks playing outside and we got completly sunburnt, plus, it was a bad quality camera against the sun.
Then, some random idiot came from nowhere and started to argue and demand him to delect that picture forever, called him racist, called the entire east asia racists and etc, because according to them, that pic was black face and how we were "fetishizing black people's 'aesthetics'". Then they tried to proceed "educating" us on "how actual asians look like" (a bunch of models, idols and influencers, heavily makeuped, photoshoped and bleached) vs "racist asians trying to look black" (some non edited average people and even some blasian kids).
I hate twitter.
wtf
God damn that's sounds like an bad ending for connecting with ur long lost friend but some kid just started an argument with you and then it just crumbles down untill it's gone
I'm black American these people need to get a check or piss off like seriously do these parasites have a life.
No one does it better than Twitter when it comes to speaking over the communities being supposedly affected. They act like they know everything
Twitter is degenerating the world. BAN THIS PLATFORM FOR ITS HERETIC EXISTENCE.
What's even worse about the name 'MAP' is that originally it was referred to as "Multiple Animation Project," where multiple artists will work together, collaborate, and often make these wonderful animation projects that can easily be found on RUclips. Actually, when I first saw the whole map thing on Twitter, I was initially very confused until I realized what it was being twisted too which is. Really fucking disgusting.
those animation 'map's were the only reason I got into animation. Really sad to see how the meaning of it changed into something totally different and disgusting.
I love maps (MULTI ANIMATOR PROJECTS)! In my heart map will always be multi animator project
What people find disgusting, what triggers them, what they find acceptable or not is a matter of opinion and belief. Opinions and beliefs vary drastically in globally society. Acting on an attraction to minors is illegal here. In Saudi Arabia, provided you are married to one, it's legal. Homosexuality is legal here, in Uganda, it's not. Engaging in these activities in any of the countries where they are banned can get a person killed. Everyone has opinions or beliefs, not everyone can accept everyone else's.
There are so many words that have been changed to mean something different, almost all of them have been changed to be insults or a word about something gross. :(
same with "cp" which until this very day, some people use for "cosplay" in short...
I feel so bad for Noah, he had the potential to make twitter like RUclips where its a free platform yet he got betrayed by his own friends...

The MAP "movement" is not fake. It may have started as a joke, but it drew out the worst in people and brought every single one of them out to the forefront. It's bait, and it worked.

I've seen people tell each other to kill themselves over a piece of art that portrays a fictional relationship that they don't like. So uh,, idk about that

It’s full of right wingers and neo-nazis
@@Abigzerolol it full of everything. ideology doesn't matter as it seems to be everything, but Good things
Honestly, Twitter is one of the worst social media platforms out there. The things that were talked about in the video strengthened that belief. I’ve had friends ask me to download Twitter and my answer was always no. They would ask why, and my answer was that “Twitter is filled with nothing but toxicity.”
I remember when zoophiles were really being talked about and when I heard about it, my reaction was “People have really become desperate, are really fucked up in the head, and need a lot of therapy.”
With every community that you go to, there will be some toxicity in said communities like gaming communities or Tv show communities. Hell, I heard really terrible stuff about the BTS community and how they deal with people that don’t like the music.
I will never use Twitter and if someone asks me why, the stuff talked about in this video will be the reasons why.
This! I do have a Twitter account, but I used to just post my art and communicate with/follow content creators I enjoyed. I spent most of that time in artistic circles, and occasionally in the MCYT (Minecraft RUclipsr) Twitter community. It was all fun and games, and I really was just enjoying the creators, but it started becoming a pretty terrible experience as the community grew larger. Fortunately, I avoided most drama, but still experienced a lot despite it not involving me at all. I did get into some arguments that made no sense at all to me, as well as people just cancelling others over... nothing?
While I do wish to have access to some social media back, I definitely would not want to be an active user on Twitter anymore. Russia does not currently have access to certain platforms, and honestly? I'm glad when it comes to Twitter. Without it present in my life I feel like a much healthier person, as well as I'm definitely saving myself from the mental hell that is Twitter
Keep it up and avoid Twitter at all costs, that platform is beyond rotten
@@DeadVoxel that’s the other thing that bothers me with people on Twitter: canceling people for stuff that happened a long time ago or just because they don’t like the person. For example,in the video, Kevin Hart was cancelled for some jokes he made years ago on Twitter and he apologized so many times and people on Twitter were not satisfied and wanted justice. The problem is that people on Twitter use “Cancel Culture” a lot and usually it’s to people who deserve it for something bad they did recently, but then most of the time they cancel others that don’t deserve it. Plus people on Twitter are unhinged. A good example is the situation with MeatCanyon and his video about the “Swifties”. Taylor Swift fans wanted MeatCanyon’s blood and head. The comments they left on Twitter were so unhinged you think that a lot of the Swifties are complete psychopaths.
I have 2 twitter accounts, but I barely use them, and after hearirg about the toxicity of Twitter, I probably won't use them at all.
as a kpop stan I cannot stand kpop twitter. hell I don't even like other kpop stans, even calling myself one makes me feel icky. people are so toxic because they get personally attached to these people so an opinion on their music is an attack on the artist. I'm guilty of having this kind of attachment to my favs TXT (they're under the same company as BTS and they're really close) but I could never allow myself to become deranged. I'm glad I'm able to have a life outside of kpop and not take it personally when someone criticizes my favs even though I do find a lot of comfort in them and love them a lot. You're doing a good thing staying away from twitter, I hope you have the best in life
I use twitter and even when I try to scroll through the accounts made by artists I like or talking about animals, somehow I end up scrolling too far and being dragged kicking and screaming into the hellscape of politics.
"You can't have X Hairstyle because your Skincolor is/isn't Y"
It can't be more racist than this, yet these people think they are the good guys.
I believe the mind does not age like the body does. The body can't stop, but a lot of people seem to stop at 13 for a long long while.
Those people are also the same one who think orcs represent black people. Lets say that I have not once heard any racist make this comment in 20 years of internet lurking.
It's funny, because white people can have curly hair, are you gonna harass them because their hair follicles are slanted?
If you actually gave the situation any thought you would realize the simplistic art style means it can be a stand in for any hairstyle that resembles it, rendering the argument pointless
@@Pandaxtor Goddamn, I remember ExtraCredit making such a video, saying how "orcs are problematic in video games because they represent minorities as barbarians" or something like that, which is the most absurd and logic defying thought process.
They said also that playing as a nazi in video games makes you a nazi irl, because "it desensitizes you to the concept". It's like they think the average person cannot distinguish between fiction and reality.

I feel terrible for Tommy, and actually for a lot of CCs in the Minecraft community - Wilbur as well, who is being romanticized a lot. Most of those CCs are young and were even minor at the time (Ranboo, Tommy was 16 when he blew up, Tubbo 17). Being confronted to fame at that age is already a challenge. Having to experience bullying and hatred on top of that is just so sad and it makes me angry. No matter what you think of people, the internet is no fricking justice court. People bullying Dream on his looks and on everything else made me want to throw up because it’s not a matter of guilt here, it’s a matter of law and human dignity. I hate Andrew Tate with all my heart, and this is an extreme case of an actual criminal, but I’ll never go stalk him or tell other people to insult him, because I think it’s up to justice to do what it’s supposed to do.
Right? I mean, just how hypocritical is it to defend minors with all of their heart, yet doxxing, harassing, bullying and cancelling a minor at the same time??? Twitter is full of hypocrisy and people who think they can bring justice to everything and anything. Justice is certainly important, especially when the legal forces or massive platforms won't do anything about a clear issue, but why does Twitter think it's a good idea to lash out onto people who THEY think did something wrong when objectively, they did not? These people hold too much power that they should not
It's the world we live in now dream doesn't even look bad but people were saying he did it's so sad how twisted they're
so so true. people don’t understand how horrible they are. bullying dream solely because of his looks, hating ont mommy for daring to exist as a teenager, and then the sexual stuff they post about the attractive members-like wilbur and george. just disgusting.
“The art community is the nicest community of twitter”
Are you sure about that, most of the worst things on twitter come from that community
"If you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything"
As much as people might hate this advice, it is still a requirement that we think about what we say, especially online
Twitter is still a social media app, but it's very easy to fall into the dumpster filled with words no sane man would ever say outside their screens
lol you literally cannot verbally communicate in twitter while following this advice.

No decent parent should allow their kids to use platforms like Twitter or Tiktok. It's not even about being a luddite. It is literally for their own safety and mental health. Heck, most adults can barely handle using these platforms responsibly and ethically.
The sad things that go unnoticed on these platforms is something i can’t describe
I really think parents should not give their children their first phones untill they're at least 11. Too much small kids staying with the phone 24/7, watching tik tok or yt. It hurts me to see my 6 and 8 y. o. nephews who after a little of horse riding I went with them, that they loved, they immadiately went to use their phones and watch something and their mother would use the phone the whole time too.

The situation of the "Space buns" really upset me, because people to this day still make fun of white people for braiding their hair or trying to make some sort of african type hair. A black person themself said that there is no issue with that in their opinion and they infact like it when people from other cultures and races do their hair like that.
(Edit: Reply section just proves how my point on how much of a shit show this is. all I ask of you is to question that if it's SO wrong why is it that the people of the culture are willing to give me or anyone else, someone who isnt a part of the culture, the services of participating in the culture whether it's braiding hair or wearing a kimono. Race and culture are two different things and neither are owned, please stop speaking over others because it is tiring.)
I know right! People are brainwashed. They’re like “that’s bad because I was told by other people that that’s bad”. My best friend is a black woman and she says the same thing, like she sees it as a compliment and it doesn’t “cause pain” to people. I would see it as a compliment too if I were them. The other funny thing is that the people who get upset when “cultural appropriation” happens, they don’t care when it happens to white people (or Asian people too these days) (not that I mind people doing cultural appropriation). But I saw it on a TV show the other day, “The Mole”, they went to Australian Outback and they put on these outfits and I thought “that’s cultural appropriation!” But it must have been “OK” for them to do that because it white people they’re doing it to. Yea that’s crazy they did that to that little space buns girl omg.
Not to mention the fact that the vikings and goths wore braids in their hair, as do natives in north america.

The toxicity in genshin twitter is wild. There was this artist who created a popular boyband AU with the characters, and she got driven of the platform because she used the frase "freed from shackles" because people were claiming it was an offensive racial joke ..yeah idk either. She even apologized but that just made the harrassment worse somehow. Heck, she isn't american and I've seen people say that it is a common phrase were she's from.
Worst part? People still use her AU because it was that popular.

I avoid Twitter like the plague. Especially since I'm Autistic. Spending any amount of time on that cesspool can make me super angry because of the sheer negativity and toxicity. If I'm being completely honest, there are many 16-40 year old women who do and say stuff on Twitter that make me want to use their faces as punching bags.
Same, and the fact that they romanticize autism and adhd as well as if it's a quirky personality makes me facepalm.

There are some males (also known as involuntary celibates) who have similar thoughts against women and form some bias against them, but those accounts get banned and removed in a snap. That could however change after the Elon Musk takeover.

RUclips is social media, though. Anything that applies to Twitter also applies to RUclips; there's an obvious and huge overlap between people who use Twitter and people who use RUclips. You're still exposed to the same type of people with the same attitudes. Misinformation, hatefulness and whatnot are as rampant on RUclips as they are on Twitter because the platforms complement each other.
The only reason it doesn't feel that way is because of the algorithm. It knows what you like to watch so it keeps feeding you more of the same. If you watch Visual Ventures, you probably watch similar content made by sensible people and that's what RUclips will keep recommending. You're not going to notice much of the degeneracy happening in other corners of RUclips unless one of your favourite content creators brings attention to it.
What about RUclips? It still counts as a social media platform
Same thing, I used to have TikTok Instagram, Snapchat and even Twitter i deleted them all and my privacy is back to normal again and I also agree, that you are happy with the documentary.

1. You or somebody is underaged and the victim is being sexually harassed (take this with a grain of salt because most law enforcers will say it isn't their problem)
2. You have hard proof i.e. sexual photos of a grown person conversating with a minor/threatening the victim with their information like blackmail.
Heavily depends on the State/country and platform (because the platform managers can help take legal action or tell you to fuck off entirely)
@@mancave10369Spreading child porn and predatory behavior is and should be illegal. Simply expressing that you are attracted to minors should not.
Being a pedosexual/MAP/pedophile doesn't equal being a child rapist or wanting to rape children. Seeing those things as equal is similar to straight men being scared to be around gays simply because they are generally attracted to their sex. Sexual attraction doesn't equal sexual action and having a mental disorder doesn't eqaul being an evil person.
The mental manifestation of human reproductive biology is heterosexuality between mature humans. Everything that deviates from that is a disorder but it isn't necessarily unethical just like heterosexual behaivor isn't necessarily ethical (like rape). It's evident that these disorders occure rather often and that they often aren't born from will and can't be cured. Treatment however can help people and in the case of pedosexuals prevent criminal behavior.
People suffering from gender indentity disorder should be supported to have therapy or assisted in their gender transition to prevent suffering that can eventually lead to suicide. They shouldn't be seen as bad people just for not fitting into the norm.
People that are attracted to minors should be supported in their control of sexual drive through therapy and possibly distanced from minors to prevent sexual exploitation of children and help the people having the disorder.
I'm certain that a lot of things promoted on twitter under the label of MAP possibly the majority of things has no interest in protecting minors or having a civil discussion about humane treatment of disorders. Still I think there is a lot of progress to be made by discussing these things and that we should generally stigmatize this topic.
@@mancave10369 Free speech doesn't apply to Twitter and even if it did, a lot of the bigots and pedophiles/zoophiles advocating for it would still be (hopefully) permabanned due to hate speech and laws surrounding child/animal protection.

Twitter is like a concentrated stink, anywhere you go on it, it smells bad.
to me, the art community has a lot of good works but a lot are also stolen and most of the times the one who stole the art is blaming the original artist
But really, the problem isn't Twitter. The problem is HUMANS. The entire Internet just reveals that no matter our physical age, we are Selfish, Cruel & Immature. When people believe they can do something free of consequences, they show who they truly are. As a matter of fact, all it takes is one step of distance from personal contact with another person to show how much we lack Empathy. Before the Internet, there were Cars & Roads, most people's driving behavior shows that we usually don't treat other vehicles as having people in them, we treat them like objects.
I can't see any easy solution to this problem, but as with most things, the first step towards fixing it, is realizing the problem exists.
There is no solution in this world, period. As long as people are individuals there will always be people who are bad actors that are willing to crush and destroy others in order to get what they want. No matter how many laws we make, no matter what punishments we enact this will always be an immutable fact of the world, because you cannot force another human being to subscribe to whatever standards of morality you have and you cannot force them to learn something they don't want to learn.
This isn't a popular thing to say in a world where opinions are held higher than truth, but the only solution to these problems *must* come outside of humanity, and must come from someone greater than humanity. This is why the founding fathers of the United States understood that faith is essential to the United States remaining a free and moral society. The only solution we have is to look to God our creator, because only he is perfect and only he can make humanity better through his son Jesus.
Well... that's *your* opinion. ^_~
No, seriously I agree with you. And something else about this Culture War that more (most?) people need to realize- It is not between Democans or Republicrats, it is not between The Left or The Right, it is not even between Liberals or Conservatives.
This struggle is actually between those who believe that personal feelings and power are the final arbiters of 'truth' (and if you have the power, you make the truth) and those who acknowledge that there is an Objective Reality that exists independently of us & does not change to suit our fancy.
@@torikazuki8701 I wholeheartedly agree with what you're saying, although I would say that the issue is more nuanced than that. These emotionally driven people would not get very far on their own because their views simply don't hold up to reality. They are in large part the front line force that is being manipulated and used from the shadows by those that wish to topple America and create a power vacuum.
As I see it there are two different factions working in unison to destabilize America, but who are in competition for taking its place when the dust settles. On the one hand you have the Chinese Communist Party, who seeks world dominance because they just want power, and on the other hand you have the people like George Soros and Bill Gates who are arrogant enough to think that they are smarter than everyone else and know what's best for everybody. From there you have influencers in the United States who are willing to sell out the American people either for ideological reasons or for personal gain.
What we're seeing now is the culmination of decades of work through infiltration of all of our institutions, from academia to politics and everything in between. They have gotten into the financial sector, they have gotten into churches and schools and medical boards and so many other places. Of course, they are in other countries as well, but the United States has been the primary target because of the amount of influence it holds and also because our form of government makes things much more difficult. Even now the MAGA movement is crippling the influence these people have in the United States, though at this point we've gone way too far to avoid the coming disaster and can only mitigate it.
War already showed this, people who want billions when you need roughly 5 million for one life showed this. Twitter isn't showing anything new. Religion itself is the height of this.
There is no solution because even if you hide it people feel these things still.
There is healthy steps to reduce the negative impact.
Sites have hard filters, political things require you to check a box to see them.
Adult content is much the same, check a box and prove you're an adult.
Expose less people to the intensity and in turn less people get intense themselves. The people who are deeply into politics can simply not check the box and won't be dragged into a spiral while if they check it what can you do for people who willingly drink or smoke except offer them an out and place rules to protect others from them.

They get those beat if they act in irl like how they did on twitter
Social media originally was to be anonymous but it was in a time where you could have freedom that you never had in the real world , but alas now it’s the other way around
Just like I said on the community post, twitter is dark all around, and its probably harder to find something wholesome on twitter then do find the most vile thing imaginable, can't wait to see a deep dive into this sea of chaos👍
Tweeter users are just chronically online and it shows. I used to be like this tho, so glad i left. My mental health improved immensely.
The term “Stan” comes from an Eminem song of the same name which tells about a fan named Stan who’s so obsessed with Eminem he ends up tying up his pregnant girlfriend, puts her into the trunk of his car and drives it off a bridge killing everyone because Eminem doesn’t immediately respond to his fan mail (only for Eminem to respond AFTER the guy killed himself and his pregnant girlfriend). It’s also believed that Eminem based the song off a guy who stalked him in real life. “Stan” was never a thing a person should try to be. Being a fan is great, but being a “Stan” is bad.
Woah I never thought it was based off of that ( I just thought "Stan " was a harmless trend thing people said on posts
honestly trolling toxic twitter users is okay IMO, let them taste their own medicine.
*trolls a twitter user*
"Ha! You have been trolled"
"Brooklyn NY,119.28-"
i don't think it would end well
@@DaviGamingOFC nah see what you do is leak their ip address too and then go the extra mile and sent them a picture of their house
@@kirbo4252 i would say he would come up with a gun,but I remembered that twitter users don't have the capability of getting off their chair
Trolling twitter users seems kinda like petty, let them dwell in their own misery.
I had Twitter just because I found cool artists there. Now realizing how much of a literal hellhole I've been thoughtlessly scrolling on, it feels like I'm in a constant warzone
thanks for this information
