My 88 year old mom gave us her old Toyota with a few old CDs left in it. A priceless discovery, Altar of Praise Chorale-To Thee We Sing. We gave the car to our daughter who struggles with drugs. Within two years the car was trashed and the CD missing. Thank God she still had the case so I was able to order another copy. My favorite song on it is O Jesus grant me hope and comfort. I've listened to many versions but none like Altar of Praise. I'm getting ready for my cousins funeral this morning with my wife and I look for the song on RUclips. The first return was this song with lyrics which I never heard all the way through. I wept because I have been listening to my beloved J. Vernon McGee for over 25years. The scriptures where it says God didn't give us a spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind is talking about fearing Satan, man, woman or child because they persecute us or hate us for believing in Him. His Spirit gives us a Love for our enemies and power of the Holy Spirit of God. This is only for true Christians who are born again by the Spirit of the living God and He gives them a spirit of Love , power and a sound mind. My great grandpa died for his church, he was a priest of Orthodox Church in Russia and was killed when communists came to rob his church. My grandma was his daughter, and I grew up listening to her stories about God. I felt like I had to be a good Christian myself to honor my great grandpa's sacrifice. He left 8 little kids when he died, my grandma Seraphima was second oldest, and she was 10 when her father was killed

My great grandpa died for his church, he was a priest of Orthodox Church in Russia and was killed when communists came to rob his church. My grandma was his daughter, and I grew up listening to her stories about God. I felt like I had to be a good Christian myself to honor my great grandpa's sacrifice. He left 8 little kids when he died, my grandma Seraphima was second oldest, and she was 10 when her father was killed
