Where did you persue your BCA degree from?
1. I started preparing from my first year in BCA along with college studies in parallel. Had around 6 months after college final exams where I had my primary focus on the MCA entrance. 2. I had referred only Arihant publications book which was more than enough for Math related questions for me (it usually has questions that is preparing you for all the MCA entrance exams in general). If you only want to focus on Karnataka PGCET MCA exam you can also consider the Vasant publications book, but I have not used it personally. 3. I did not study much for these topics as I felt that I had pretty strong foundations on them. I just solved the previous year papers, went through similar questions in these categories based on the previous year papers and glanced through the mca guide. I used Arihant PGCET MCA book mainly for math questions. 4. Usually the rank required is around 30-50 for General category for RVCE. You can also go through the previous year cutoff lists from the internet. I have also uploaded the mock cutoff here for you: github.com/outofcoolage/MCA-karnataka-PGCET-study-material-/blob/main/mock_cutoff_mca.pdf 5. The college does not help a lot in this preparation. However, if you want to know I pursued my BCA from Jain University. Hope this helps:)
Broh...plz suggest me some online book for preparation for this exam...i m finding hardtime to search these book in my area...also my parents aren't ready to spend money on book ..they r saying me to study using online resources 😢

Yes, quantitative aptitude is a significant part of MCA exams. You can refer previous year papers to get a fair understanding of the exam pattern. Solving the previous year papers will also help you better evaluate your strengths and analyze the topics that you need to better prioritize while studying.
@@OutOfCoolAge bro but in 2022 paper there are no questions from quantitative aptitude like (percentage, distance, average,etc..) is quantitative aptitude is there or only logical reasoning

Instead of the Arihanth MCA guide is the 11th and 12th NCERT Mathematics books of CBSE enough for the math sections for the PGCET MCA exam or do you think is it recomended to do the R D Sharma or R S Aggarwal(I still have my old R S Aggarwal books with me) subsequently with them for better grasp of the concepts? Or which combination of books is advised from the above for the Math Section? 3. If you don't mind it then could you say which college are you currently pursuing your MCA degree from? 4. I started preparing from the first year of BCA along with college subjects parallelly. However, after the completion of final year BCA exams I had around 6+ months where I had the MCA entrance exam was my primary focus.
@@OutOfCoolAge do they ask about applications such as Excel and other such things as i m not yet exposed to such applications because I'm currently on my final sem of bsc computer science where they dont teach us about applications such as Excel etc
@@knm7218 You need not have expertise in applications like Excel for MCA entrance exam. Having fundamental level knowledge about these applications and their use cases should be sufficient. You can go through the previous year papers for understanding the difficulty level of the questions in the exam
Will we have 20 questions for each subject? Before it was 2 sections now its 1 section one question 1 mark. The KEA havent mentioned the exam pattern for 2024 and in other websites each say different things. Which pattern should we prepare for and how much marks will each subject contain for MCA ?
@@ArunKumar-ey6xq no they still haven't given any official information. Maybe it's divided equally each subject having 20 questions for 20 marks as a guess.

Yes... you need to focus on maths basics of NCERT/PUC textbooks that have fundamental concepts
