Man your videos are on point and easy to understand. The way you teach and explain things is second to none. I don’t think I’ve watched one where I didn’t learn a great feel or thought. Golf is an amazing game very thankful I was exposed to it young.
From an online lesson with Adam and these videos, I have improved so much. I was stuck in a rut of shanks and slices galore and now I am hitting way more crisp and consistent shots!
My biggest struggle with this was only focusing on the left shoulder move away led to my right hip not turning and left side moving towards the ball instead. The explanation of the right pocket moving back and as the left shoulder moves the club back is a great explanation of how it works!
Two things I really love about this video in addition to everything you said, is not turning from ground but instead from shoulder and hip. The other one is holding the club with the right hand and tucking the elbow to the body and addressing the ball to determine the correct distance to the ball. Very nice and I am really enjoying the “straight putt no matter what” 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾. It is my putting alignment practice tool and it just fits in the golf bag perfectly. Love it.
Really sound advice! Going to incorporate this in my swing as I’m changing up by bag for the first time in 3 years.. progression! Golf never stops teaching….
Lots of wisdom in this video clip. For one; (driver swing) - bottom should be stable and let arms/hands rotate through. I obviously struggle when trying to get more ‘power’ - having the hips/legs race through the downswing leaving the top half ‘behind’. I love how the golfer explained his swing as well - so easy to absorb. Thank you for the Porzak wisdom ❤❤
I'm going through a total swing transition right now. Think of Faldo's wrist hinge preset drill from the 90's...that's actually been my swing the past 3 years. Right now my drives are in the gutter. I've researched a bunch of videos by several teachers to encourage me to get back to the normal swing pattern and not rely so much on such a radical wrist hinge at takeaway. All those guys are superb, but can get a little too technical for my taste.THIS however clicked right off the bat, because its so to-the- point. Cannot wait to get back on the range now. Great advice man, and so glad I found your channel.👍
Great video, my feel is the right elbow sits on my slightly large late 40s stomach. I just leave it there throughout the swing and just try and keep it from going long. Got this from watching your videos and it has made a huge difference. Will try incorporating this left shoulder move with it as well. Keep it up 👍
Incredible instruction for elite level players, wish i was younger, instead of being almost 70, but i did try the little hip bump move, great with iron's, however I can't for the life of me hit my driver with that pre set move
Great and helpful video on so many fronts. One observation- in the slow motion he does not appear in transition to shift a lot of his weight onto his lead leg (like Mcllroy in slow mo pics) but he is very centered. Does this restrict his distance at all?
Any amateur trying to imitate a pros weight shift is going to wind up swaying instead. Staying centered over the ball is going to give him more distance than trying to throw his weight around.
I went to a LIV tournament the other week and spent about 2 hours watching players on the range. So many of em were practicing their takeaways with lead shoulder/arm only. Some were even doing small swings and hitting balls like it. I've found that if I use the trail shoulder it pulls the club inside.
The "feel" i have is to initiate the swing with the upper body in unison, give in with the lead knee at the same time, start to fold the right ellbow (as righthander) not before completion of about 1/3rd of the backswing and after that just continue and bow the left wrist to a neutral position. Sounds complex, but it's a one-motion thought really. It's basically what you say. I only write this to make clear what i often observe: people "feel" different, and to make all of them to do the same motion, a teacher has to find the individual easiest "feel" analogy to make them convert the technique.
what is the best tip to avoid the head move forwards during backswing. Exactly what you show there, where the head stays centered instead of staying in the spine and rotating. It some how a reflex from me. My head go forward/down instead of turning with
These are great videos, I still can't figure out why I can hit every club in the bag, wedges, irons up to 6, 5w, 3w, and Driver ... but I absolutely am lost when it comes to a 4/5 iron ... it's like they're alien to me when I pick them up ...
Adam, I was wondering what might cause left arm collapse at the top? As for me, on slow practice swings top position looks great, but when I do full swing with a ball left arm bends and everything collapses..
If the shoulders don’t appropriately turn the left arm or wrap across the chest and cause it to bend… being able to keep a straight left arm is a function of the shoulders turning and the left arm, staying on the left side of the body. Let me know if this makes sense!
What do you think about the lead (left for right hander) elbow pushing straight back from the target (along with the chest turning) (along the toe line) for those that have a problem feeling and moving the lead (left) shoulder back along the toe line for the takeaway? (Old Greg Norman 80's takeaway key). ruclips.net/video/sLgj_nxSo-c/видео.htmlsi=VOfWIJgMGlOBbVcV&t=27
So I have a habit of going on heaters, posting great scores, and then two weeks in to solid form there’s a f&@$ glitch in the matrix and all my feels go away. I write down my feels when I’m in form, but when this happens I can’t even replicate them. Am I cursed? Should i pick up pickle ball?
I wish my friends don’t find your channel as I am improving and kicking their asses. Finally everything makes sense about golf swing.
🤣🤣🤣
lead shoulder starting the connected takeaway is the single best thing I have ever learned to do in 40 years of playing golf, appreciate what you do!
Is lead shoulder your left shoulder (right handed) ?
The best coach/ presentations out there! U make everything make sense 👍

Took me 3 months to get rid of my shank after using this takeaway. Yesterday I shot 79 finally 😆
I'm amazed at how I can hear the same swing advice 20 times over the course of a year, and yet still learn something new... it's fascinating
This channel is blessed no doubt❤

Training the most efficient swing possible, love it!!!
Absolutely!

Initiating with the lead shoulder is such a big game changer for me!

Thanks much. Working on that hip bump but what a difference in my golf swing with the takeaway drills.....No need to buy new clubs🙂
Another gem. Really enjoy this channel. 🙌👍
Keep up the good work. Great content. Love it❤! Cheers from 🇨🇭
Excellent lesson !!
So good, I always learn something new!
Happy to help!

i like ur channel , i do find ur tips very helpful u go through the little things other channels dont
At address, I noticed that the clubbed is placed next to the ball and it is slightly opened(3:57). Should I do the same?.

Can you clarify the alternate feel of trail shoulder blade behind your head. Is this an address feeling or a feeling for the takeaway?
Great stuff this. Really like your teaching style 👌
I appreciate that!
Great video! one question - does the lead shoulder turn to the space under the chin or does it tilt down in the initial move?
Incredible instruction for elite level players, wish i was younger, instead of being almost 70, but i did try the little hip bump move, great with iron's, however I can't for the life of me hit my driver with that pre set move
I’m 72 but still learning a lot- lot of living-room posing. 😅

So good! Can’t wait for my 2 days with you guys next month 👍🔥
Can't wait! Lets go!
Thoughts on stack and tilt system?

"I want you to feel like..." - I love hearing coaches talk like this.
THUMBS UP!
Is it ok to feel lead arm under pec in the first part of takeaway? Almost arm connected to body initially ?
AdRock just knows how to lay it down, and make you a better golfer!
Just too good 😅👏👏👏
Adam, I noticed that the Both foot are parallel. Why doesn’t the left foot or lead foot flare out by a few degrees?
I used to have an overeating problem but thanks to AP just shot my lowest comp score 74 = 3rd best gross and im 63!
Now if only o could shoot my age!

I got lost. Lead shoulder and chest together to initiate or just lead shoulder?

Same, same. I’m currently seaching for utility clubs to replace my 4 iron and possibly my 5 iron as well.
Try and hit it like your 5w instead of your 6 iron. It’s prob just a ball position issue.

Gabe let us know if you still out there ya OG
Every time I start my back swing trying to start my core, I go into a dip and get too shallow on my downswing hitting a too high draw.
since i did this, my dynamic loft went up and i lose distance. why?
Why do you ask such specific questions to someone expecting them to blindly diagnose a swing 🤣
You talk a lot about left pocket, right pocket. Do you mean front pocket or back pocket? Or does it matter? Thanks

one move to better golf Carl Lohren
This coach is confusing as fuck with his take away position explanation!

the same exact thing happens to me. literally exact same thing and I cant stand it
Sounds like you groove a technically off-plane swing, dial it well, then lose the timing and it falls apart. It’s how I operate 🤣
