5 movies I recommend to people who want to see more classics: Casablanca (IMO, the best movie ever made), a Hitchcock movie (either Psycho, Rear Window, or my favorite Vertigo), Singin' in the Rain (the best old Hollywood musical that is also about the history of silent films/talkies), When Harry Met Sally (invented the modern day romcom), and then a classic Spielberg (can't go wrong with Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark or ET).
