BTW, another way to pipe audio if you're running linux, is Pulse Audio Volume Control. Once you have your decoding software running, i.e. FLDigi, you can go into PAVC and under the recording section, select FLDigi, which is listed as currently "recording", and choose "Monitor of built in audio" to pass the audio from the receiver to fldigi's input.
Thank you very much for showcasing my primer PDF in your video.
This is great. Thanks for covering it.
You’re welcome! 😀
You can also copy these broadcasts using SITOR-B as the 2 modes are very similar.
Thanks for a video!
I have a SDR Play RSP DX which Works very Well with SDR Angel Software!
never tried NAVTEX may have too. used to copy WEFAX that was neat.
Please add Australia to your mail ordering service.
Thankyou for the videos.
I used to decode Navtex with a PK-900 back in the 90's.............
Hi total noob here,
can you tell me please, could i use the same antenna for both weatherfax and navtex?
and what cheap SDR receiver would you recommend ?
cheers mate
how about radiofax. When I was in the Navy we used to get weather updates and charts that way, don't remember the radio frequency but think it used PSK at a fairly slow data rate. and i don't mean data as in random numbers, it was more like just 1's and 0's.
I need something like this but in spanish
Please can anyone post a weblink of where to find and download YanD, Thanks.
Hey, I jusdt came across your channel, and I'm really interested! after a visit to your amazon page, I got a bit overwhelmed. Can anyone suggest me maybe a starter SDR with wich I can play a bit, to learn about this without too much hassle?
I love your voice, and the calm way of speaking you have, while still giving out lots of info! Definiatly watching more of this channel!
The NooElec range of SDRs are a good starter. Or you could go for an SDRPlay RSP1A which also covers HF. If you purchase a NooElec SDR get yourself a Ham It Up Upconverter so you can listen in on HF.
@@TechMindsOfficial thanks! I found this NooElec starter kit, would this be usefull to learn the basics for a bit?

@@Mika-qe3ne The problem with those is that they start at 24MHz, which leaves out the interesting HF (shortwave) stuff.
You can listen to land mobile radio, VHF and UHF ham radio, and commercial broadcasts with that, but not the stuff in this video, as it's down below AM broadcast.
@@tomwilson2112 would it be possible to listen to that HF with a Ham It Up convertor?
7:42 2020-01-25 16:46:10 "three wind turbine towers sunk at 49-04.7N 005-21.0W"
What? I see no news about that! Does anyone has more info?
Green energy, now polluting the sea. Ironic
Maybe it means sunk as in fixed to the sea bed
I have one of those printers like in the thumbnail but it doesnt want to print.
YanD seems to have disappeared from the planet! Any idea where I can download it please?
Great channel BTW.
I am experimenting with BlackCat's Navtex Sitor
hexadec did you ever find where to download YanD maybe ?
click his description where it says Mike Ladd.. then scroll down on the page, it's there
Would you be interested in helping me to collect data to train a model with matlab to do space cybersecurity security research as you are a encyclopedia and an expert in this subject. I am super interested in this and have my own lab (home) and am working to build a purpose built satellite cyber deck. I have found the micropython for a pico to aim my mount i made for two yagi's and a dish. I am a former criminal prosecutor so I am a ethical security researcher.
