Cookie I have a book recommendation for you that I think you would really enjoy it's called 3 against the wilderness and is set in Canada in the early 1900s it's the true story of a young family who move into the wilderness to live and the man notices a huge decline in local species and decides to reintroduce beaver even though a lot of people down river are against the idea. It's a great book full of animal encounters some of which are scary it also has a lot of cool photos. When you talked about the beavers in the video I instantly thought about the book even though it must be 20 years since I read it which shows how memorable it is.

40 years as a commercial photographer. I had never done wildlife photography for my bucket list. I wanted to see mountain hares in there winter coat
I was taken up to where you were filming. This march. We photographed mountain hares and in the afternoon snow bunting. Drove down the Mountain
And headed back to our hotel. Dusk had descended and we had just entered a wooden bridge over a wide river. The car was doing about 15mph when I spotted a large
Cat stalking at the edge of a field shooting through the driver and the steering wheel. I managed to get one rather blurry image of a cat tabby cat with dark rings on its tail.
I am saying it’s a Scottish wild cat. By the time we had gone over the bridge turned round waited our turn to go over the bridge. The light had gone completely.
Back at the hotel. We ate then started to download our images. Looking at the cat. We spotted it had what looked like a radio collar on. We sent the embarrassing
Image to the Scottish wildlife with the location. They confirmed it was one of the cats released last year close to the release sight. I will never get rid of that image but also never show to anyone else. I am keeping it for my own personal pleasure I’ve not even show it to my wife. It’s that bad a shot. But seeing all you went through on the video gave me a warm glow
I have seen a Scottish wildcat for all of 15 seconds and it was magical.
    Good luck in the future

Excellent upload dude. Your feathers are definitely male Caper. I have a few (tail feather - blunt end). If in any way forested and feathers plucked not torn then without a doubt female Goshawk kill, goldies will always favour open ground whilst hunting . Despite contrary info there's a fairly decent population in and around the Caledonian forests. I've seen one twice within an hour before now. Brilliant to nab the crossbill, nice to end with otter and WTE. If you can handle the midges then May and June are great months for lots of activity. Enjoyed it 👍🏻

I though they were extinct now but the channel "the Haggis Wildlife Foundation" has comments by people who say they have still very occasionally seen one. On a random note i have seen a big cat in the wild while walking my dog it was on the cruden bay golf course and i watch alot of animal documentarys and there was a deer with a very good lead and this black big cat caught up to it in a matter of seconds and i know no dog could close that amount of distance that fast it was also then photographed in black dog a small village just outside of aberdeen scotland not long after and i never thought it would be something i would ever see but well i did. Although one rumor i heard is that they think their is a population of racoons in the wild in the uk would be super amazing to find out if this is real or not as i would love a racoon but at the moment it's hard to get one as they are seen as an invasive speicies
