    Enjoying Sauerland with an Italian hottie, sounds like this old man’s idea of fun😉🤣. Next question, why did BMW design such a great bike with such a crap seat? My Multi has a great seat, even better with a cool cover. Bit drastic though buying a Triumph to solve an ‘arse’ issue🤪😂. Great video chaps, I’m so jealous on a cold Northumberland morning🥶👍.

    • @thelikeablerider8800
      @thelikeablerider8800  7 месяцев назад +1

      It wasn't a bad idea at first to be honest! Because it was so nicely sculptured, Initially it feels very comfortable, but because it was so sculptured, you can't move around at all in the seat, which means you end up sitting all day in one position, which is never good for long runs. I didn't but the Triumph just because of arse issues, I'd buy any brand if I like it!👍😜

      @@thelikeablerider8800 Nothing wrong with a Triumph, I’ve had two including an early Tiger 1200. Had a few BMWs too, sadly I enjoy twins so I bought GSs, the Triple is a great compromise engine with loads of torque and a great top end.👍

    I lifted the leg once to give the cheek a rest and the bloody leg got a massive cramp, hurt a F#&king lot more than the butt cheek, so there I was ridding along in a big row of traffic rubbing up around my groin and bouncing around on my seat, people behind must have thought WTF, was a lovely ride.

    I can still never remember the difference between a route and a track. TomTom user here.

    • @thelikeablerider8800
      @thelikeablerider8800  7 месяцев назад

      A track us pretty much a RAW file with the exact route you want to take, or have taken. A Route is typically calculated with way points and allows for differences or recalculation if you go off track. On my Garmin while using a route, it'll give you other information like, upcoming petrol stations, restaurants etc. With a track you get no information other than turn by turn prompts.

    • @shegocrazy
      @shegocrazy 7 месяцев назад +1

      What throws me with tomtom is that you plan out your route and send it to the gps. The gps then does what it thinks to get to your way points. I just want it to follow my plan EXACTLY the way I sent it.

    • @thelikeablerider8800
      @thelikeablerider8800  7 месяцев назад

      I've many friends that use TomTom, and they seem to have way more issues, or with way points should I say. Having said that, it's true to both brands that not placing waypoints exactly can cause you issues. Been on countless rides (not leading) where we've done so many uturns because a way point has been placed slighty off the road, so the Sat Nav thinks you haven't hit it, so turns you round. That's the beauty of following a track, it's one constant route, but like I said before you lose route information.

    • @NotNowCato1254
      @NotNowCato1254 7 месяцев назад

      My buddies and I have had similar woes and whinge-fests over bloody Garmins. We too like to plan a precise route and follow it but nay says Garmin, for I know better...🧐. I've now settled on MRA with their nav app on an old phone. Great for planning on the old laptop, no transferring of files, it's just there on the app immediately. Not without the odd glitch but 10 times better than a Garshit 😂

    • @mattmutane5502
      @mattmutane5502 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@NotNowCato1254 If you put plenty of "shaping points" (WayPoints IMO is not the way to do it unless it's a thing/place you actually want to GO to), then it *should* be impossible for the NAV to screw your route. You just have to have plenty of them, so it's can only recreate YOUR route. Remember a GPX file is just a series of points on the map, in an ordered list, the NAV unit still has to turn that into a route, and it has to make a gazillion "choices" about how to do that. Take those choices away with lots of shaping points, and it *should* have no choice but to recreate the route you had in mind in the first place! :) (don't forget, the routing software you use to create the route is doing the same thing too...)
