In this episode I take you up and over the amazing Healy Pass in Irlenad!

Being retired, I always tour during school term time... and that fantastic ride up the Healy Pass is one of the reasons why. Getting the whole pass more or less to yourself... what utter luxury. One for my growing bucket list. Thanks for taking us along.

Brilliant... Brings back memories from 19 years ago. Stopped at that mountain 'shop' (no graffiti back then either) for photos and have a lovely picture of me and my late father sitting on the wall with the pass behind us. Wonderfully place. Thank you Sean. 👍

Great roads and very little traffic brilliant for biking
15 years ago was the last time myself and my wife drove up the healy pass in a 2002 daihatsu terrios,,we decided to go up as fast as possible, that little terrios with rear wheel drive was like a rally mini.no traffic the same day,the whole mountain to ourselves. Next time soon will be on a motorbike. Enjoyed your video immensely. Michael.

Never done that route, saved in Google Maps! I think I have next year’s trip planned, the rest of the WAW I didn’t finish in 2018, the bit south of Tralee and a nice ride south through Wales to get there, oh it’s rough being retired🤣this year it’s a week exploring the islands and coast north of Glasgow🙄😉. We took same advise and diverted up Healey last year also on Triumph 1200 at the time .Lovely .
Was just out of luck, the guy in the local Tatt shop (where I spent 100 quid) told me about it and said I should definitely ride it. Top bloke!

The Healy Pass is one of my favourite roads in the country, I live less than an hour from there so it's a nice handy route to do and come down in to Kenmare and home, it's a nice loop to do. Hope you enjoyed it.

Ok thanks for the info I'll look at it. I use a DJI with both Bluetooth and plug in mics but always look at alternatives. Your commentary level sounds perfect

You were lucky healy pass usually busy, cyclists especially. Mind the horse manure in the black valley

Most definitely, it's much more comfortable and just as fun to bung about in the bends!
I'm curious what helmet mic are you using it seems to be linked to a zoom app?
I use an external mic recorder, the Zoom F2 BT, which has its own app, so I can control it via my phone.
