Never seen anyone like him ... Sandberg was one-dimensional compared to this guy ... I believe Javy could also be a top-notch CF and could also be a catcher.
Javy is amazing but let’s not forget Ryno.... 10 Allstars, 9 Gold Gloves, 7 Silver Sluggers, League MVP, a home run title and a career 989 fielding percentage. Oh, and the Hall of Fame first ballot. Javy is my favorite player to watch, I’m wearing an El Mago t shirt right now, but he’s got a long way to go to match Sandberg.
@@sloebone7399 Some good points, but ... Javy's only been around for 6 years - if I'm in a "game-7" situation, I'll take Javy because he can do more things.
That's a great compilation. There's been a lot of great infielders through out baseball history and Baez is unquestionably one of the greatest ever. He's got ALL the tools and a great club house guy too. I hope #9 is flying above Wrigley some day. He's priceless to that team.
Javi was a wizard out there. the whole postseason could have gone WAY different if not for HIS defense. the Teams defense in general, really. way more defensive plays by the cubbies than the other guys. Awesome.
W Minogue I've been a fan for my life. So has my dad. Haven't watched every game tho. But I cried when Jo Madden gave his speech when they were going to the world series
Profit Duck Well if he does, what does that say about Russell, Hey, & Shawrbs? Baez is among the top hitters for us this year. Also, Baez along with Wilson, has had and incredible 2nd half start. The bambino is coming along too, but unfortunately, he doesn't offer the defense Javy does. That's what makes Baez among the best Cubs. His defense is beyond anyone on the team. Enough said
Baez is the best tagger I've ever seen, but Russell is easily the better defender. Heyward is also better than him defensively. He swings at everything and has shown no interest in getting better. I wonder if he'll become trade bait in the future.
Baez is 1 of the best baseball athletes I've ever seen in the last 20 yrs. If Jeter gets in the baseball HOF then Baez should too if he plays like this for the rest of his career and it lasts as long as Jeters career did. By the end of Baez's career he could very well be one of those players that come around once in a generation... His baseball instincts are phenomenal. I love watching him play.
greatest fielder I have ever seen and MLB The Show wants to disrespect him with awful fielding stats I won't even mention in depth how underrated his power and speed are as well
I grew up watching Robbie Alomar, my mom even bought me his blue and black SSK glove and for 169.99 back then. I gotta say this kid is smoother and than Robbie Alomar. But Robbie stick game was on another level.
Game 3 against the Giants, the sound was so fucked for that whole game... All I could hear was crowd noise, and the hits... no commentary. Glad to see the plays from that game here don't have sound either. I was excited I didn't have to hear Joe Buck.
I am promising everyone new videos that will Rock the RUclips World of Baseball even if it Kills me. U guys have support me form the start of the playoffs and so far and I Thank U for it. Idk when or how but I will do it ✌✌✌✌✌✌✌
Okay so i guess the 7 times they showed Rizzo scooping the ball to check if his foot was on the bag was necessary in the Javier Baez post season highlight video
6:41 to 7:30, the Dodgers catcher was blocking the plate without the ball, what would have been the call if he had been called out? Would they overturn it since the catcher did not have any business blocking the plate without the ball in his mitt?
IMO, I can guarantee Maddon would have challenged the play if he was out, but my guess is that the call would have stood as called. If this happened in the regular season, replay probably overturns an out call, but not in the playoffs. The last couple of seasons, replay has been very consistently going with the call on the field during the playoffs unless it was blatantly obvious, which I have no problem with.

Give Rizzo a little credit too, some of those picks are phenomenal. He makes them look routine.
behind every great infielder there is a great first baseman

I'm So proud of this kid ,he is from my hometown BAYAMON,PUERTO RICO!😊💪
Awesome!
Vaya boricua. 👍🇵🇷
What an incredible run for the Cubs. Spectacular glove, tagging, baseball talent by Baez!! Great video
I seen a lot of baseball in my life....Baez is the best I've seen....GO CUBS..MVP
The quality of the video was great. Loved the little replay of the great base running by Baez. Really nice job
Thanks U

I love watching all the Javier Baez defense of tags and throws for getting runners out from the 2016 Playoffs.
a regular season's worth of defensive highlights in a single post season. incredible.
Am I the only one who got shivers and goosebumps especially in the last clip? ;)
It's November 19, and I'm crying still.
QueenLorde same here dude/girl
W Minogue salty? Lol
W Minogue exactly and that is 100% true
W Minogue I've been a fan for my life. So has my dad. Haven't watched every game tho. But I cried when Jo Madden gave his speech when they were going to the world series
i read an article that suggested cubs should trade Baez. never anything more ludicrous in my life
No there is a new thought that we don't need him to succeed. I disagree with that thought.
yoda8802 he still does have a poor swing

Miguel Delgado the only reason he's on the team is defense. Cause he is an AWFUL batter
I had to report this video...this is porn...that's how good this is
incredible
Pure Magician!
what an incredible and talented player!
I dont watch baseball much but I always look out for Javier Baez. He is something special
i remember back when baez was first called up and he was this chubby raw talent and now hes turned into this. That was 2 years ago btw
chubby baez lol yesss he was definitely eating like a minor leaguer
Javy is the best tagger I've ever seen in my life.
How the heck do you not include the play where Javy ran in from the outfield and fielded a bunt from Adrian Gonzalez and threw him out?

Ross and Baez were the best team ever. I do have to admit tho, Ross’ last game was the best one to end a career on.
8:32 that was a big time play, letting it drop like that to get the unconventional double play.
Javier Baez heredó las habilidades.del salón de la fama.mr.ROBERTO ALOMAR.
A other Javier Baez in the World Series video will be made just wondering should his defense moments and offense together
VideoGameDTS Gaming Another*
Javier is a beast
Yes
06:00 haha, "That's just Hokuspokus right there" Haha :D
Great work, man. You have a new subscriber!
Baez says F yeah
greatest fielder I have ever seen and MLB The Show wants to disrespect him with awful fielding stats
I won't even mention in depth how underrated his power and speed are as well
Sports & baseball are entertainment, and Javy is the ultimate entertainer
Cubs Win Cubs Win Cubs Win. .... I still can't get over it.
I think Baez will be a Cub for life. Whoever trades him will be lynched by the fans. The coach reaction to the SB was priceless.
Okay, now is July 2018 and Baez is killing it!!
he is my favorite player
My favorite player is Rizzo
3:28 vasgersian goes crazy , love it
Anyone watching in 2023 that demands an update?
Matt Vasgersian needs to replace Buck
Baez es lo mejor

First time I ever noticed, is Rizzo twerking at 15:44?? I'm shook 😂
Yeah He did😂
6:10
when I first saw this I lost my shit
Lol crazy
When Ross was playing he was one of the most underrated catchers in the game

3:34 LFG love this guy ⚾️👍
this kid is so much fun
3:25 best play in history of baseball.
12:25 the most emotion Kyle Hendricks showed in the postseason
Dylan Pollock for real
Baby Baez ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Still scratching my head on some of the editing in this. Why so many clips with no play call? And why stay on those without the call for SOOO long?
Matt Dusza huh
Matt Dusza yeah true
El mejor jugador de las grandes ligas ahora mismo.
Javier baez is my favorite baseball player for the cubs but I'm still a true orioeld fan
This video really didn't need to be 16minutes long
How long do u want it to be?
BOOF MOOSE yes yes it did
BOOF MOOSE it was 16:50 not 16:00
It could be about 6 minutes if each play wasn't shown like 7 times and if you edited out the whole process of waiting for a challenge on a call
Okay so i guess the 7 times they showed Rizzo scooping the ball to check if his foot was on the bag was necessary in the Javier Baez post season highlight video
2haters who don't like Baez, really? You're probably just jealous he ain't on your team!!!
he's overrated
I'm a Cubs fan but tbh he can't hit at ALL
gary27 he bats 300 with 15 homeruns that’s not hitting?
The guy couldn’t hit..... and now He has a 30+ hr season in 2018 #Improvement
Hes like an Omar Vizquel for this generation.
Just with a little bit more pop in his bat
@@ryanaltfillisch7155 a lot more pop lol
imagine having baez, simmons, machado, and bellinger as your infield!
I call Baez " The Coroner" cause he will put a tag on your toe
It's February 5 in I'm still crying
How much of a boss is Baez? Watch THIS: www.fanragsports.com/now/watch-javier-baez-celebrates-yadier-molinas-throw-applying-tag/
Baez is so good
Javy Baez the best there is🔥💯🌎
Who thought of Alex Gonzalez after javy started the double play in the 8th of game 6.
360p. I love it
Man I don't have data like that😂😂😂😂
Why Not. It was a108 years in the making!
JAVYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

Baez snubbed for silver glove again. He is by far the best at what he does.
Did you put the cubs audio over it?
Still think Span was safe at first at 4:29 but there were a couple of questionable calls that series even after replay.
love it
Baez lo mejor de lo mejor prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrra
Not gonna lie.. I love the video but it could have been cut a lot better.
As a cubs fan I don’t have to watch this because I have already seen these clips
Man😞
But I still did don’t worry
@@russiandoge7773 Okay better😂
Where’s his go ahead hit in game 4 NLDS?
He is twice as fast as a striking cobra!
Subbed
In the clip where Baez tags Lindor who is the announcer?
themightyjake The Cleveland Indians radio announcer
VideoGameDTS Production what's his name
themightyjake idk maybe Tom Hamilton
It's kind of shit that half of the clips don't have commentary.
I’m I the only one that Hears a guy yelling fucker????1:40
El MAGO
Ross was an animal too
Going through Lester strikeouts, Ross was bailing Lester out alot of times and that was just for the Cubs I have not even check Boston
El Mago.
I hate how good he is
El mago!
Best defense ever go cubs

100,000 views baby
Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with Pat and Ron, but they weren't all that good that post-season.
It says defensive plays but there was one offensive
2 offensive
Kuruma Uzamaki Thanks for being 8 months late
Javi played first base in game one of the NLDS??? I watched it
I saw it was just a position change. Sry for any confusion
360p?? really?
Man I didn't have any storage back then. If only you knew. 3 years late tho lol
4:39
Nahhhh that was rizzo doing too much, if that boy baez calls for it it doesn’t matter what in tarnation is going on you just got called off dawg
Last time I checked stealing home isn’t defense (7:15)
The reason why the giants lost this series was the bullpen, period
