Imagine he sent his family off to die being the only one knowing. Until 11 years later. He is the one who put up with it longer and suffered in silence. He had to harden himself and do what he could. He didn't do it for himself to survive but the two he was closest too. That is so tough to go through as a kid. My poor babies..
