    THINGS I FORGOT TO MENTION!
    - Dire Beast summons from Kill Command (via Dire Command) also grant 20 Focus. This means that every ~3.3 Kill Commands on average will only cost ~2.5 Focus, effectively. Beast Mastery will be SWIMMING in Focus.
    - Wailing Arrow single-target damage buffed by 30%. We'll take it.
    - The "Focused Aim" Talent seems intended to be a 2-pointer and not a 1-pointer. This exacerbates Marksmanship's issue of an expensive talent tree where you cannot make a satisfying AoE build.
    - Aimed Shot damage nerfed by 2%. Bit weird, but alright.

    Absolutely wild opening up wowhead and seeing they'd basically just watched your Surv video and implemented all the changes you asked for!
    Here's hoping MM also gets some more refinement before it goes live, it could really do with it.

    First of all I would like to give you a huge THANK YOU Azortharion for the work and effort you put in, while most other creators are just hype merchants, you are making a difference for all of us hunters out there and I cannot thank you enough.
    Second I would like to pass an idea by you about Black Arrow - do you think it would be a good idea if they changed BA to be a like a a frontal that goes in a straight line (the direction the hunter aims it) and passes through enemies dealing damage and applying the BA debuff/dot - it would have a green marker on the ground to aim it, kinda like the evoker spells, and visually it could look like a big shadowy arrow passing through similar to how Sylvanas shoots in warcraft rumble (the mobile game), I feel like this would much better fit for the Dark Ranger fantasy, and will make it a better button to press on AoE.
    I hope I can get your thoughts on this.

      Only concern would be that an aimed, and presumably channeled ability like that would kind of disrupt the fast-paced flow of BM. It would fit fine with Marksmanship. It would also go some ways to fix Dark Ranger's aoe drawbacks.

      @@Azortharion You make a good point about the channeling, but I was thinking along the line of BA insta shooting once you draw the green marker on the ground, with BA itself having a 30 sec or 1 min CD

    Love the bombardier change! Means you can carry the free explosive shots into the next pack instead of being forced to use them on (most of the time) a close to dead pack

    The only big change I will be looking for as a MM is to be able to cast my lust without taking out my pet. I am baffled that this still hasn't been changed 20 years later

    It is great to see them listening to feedback. Thank you for your video and I'm hyped to play my Hunter in TWW as I have all DF so far. Just throwing this out there, but with a rework I would have LOVED to see them bring dual wielding to Survival. It would fill that fantasy void I have and my love for Rexxar. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

    Thank you for taking the time to speak for us. BM still feels clunky to me, but it may be the low haste values on the Beta. Two things.     My biggest cause of sadness is losing the S3 DF tier set with rapid fire procing an additional volley. When I saw the node under volley I got my hopes up thinking they added it to the spec tree. Super sad to see that tier set go. With a bunch of other specs getting tier sets baked in I was hoping it would happen to mm. Everything else is more than I could expect though.

      @Azortharion Pls mention in your videos that Blizzard should give all hunter specs baseline "Bloodlust"! It feels just bad to be the only class in game who can technically pull bloodlust but if you do you have huge downsides to do so and it feels so awkward to play.
      As a MM you have to pull out a pet and loose your "lonewolf" and "trigger finger" buff. If you cast your pet free it costs you 3 sec to do so, and it takes another 20 sec until "lonewolf" is on max percent (atleast on live season 4 it takes this long).
      As a BM in PVE you play with tenacity-pet and if you want to pull bloodlust you have to change your pets which feels unnatural and takes way to long time midfight.
      I know that "Bl" is connected to ferocity-pet at the moment, but maybe they could change the ferocity-pet ability to a new one and make "bl" independent from pets.
      For example they could change the ferocity-pet ability to be that your "kicks" have shorter cooldown and heal you for X each time you kick.
      Another possibility could be that the amount of "you take reduced damage" from versatility could be doubled or something, so you can be more tanky.
      These are just some suggestions but i think it is more than time to make bloodlust independently usable for all hunter specs.
      Also TY for your great work. You do all Hunters a favour with all your videos and feedbacks! It´s awesome that Blizzard seems to listen to this feedback you and the community is given.

    Two thoughts. While I appreciate that survival of the fittest is down to 1:30, it’s still not enough. Getting one shot on higher tyrannical mythic plus keys because I’ve run out of defensive cds ( not include fortitude of the bear when I am running lust pet), is essentially a cap unless you have an awesome healer. Also countershot needs to have a shorter cd, 24 secs renders it useless especially if you hit it and someone has already interrupted. Stomp with one minute is also far too long. Shortening the cd of countershot would make BM far more attractive addition to a group by increasing the utility of the class. Another idea could be to have binding shot be a mass stun.

    Pretty sure we could talent Fervor, for immediate focus, back in MoP as BM, as I remember having it as SV during SoO. That said, we had enough buttons to press back then anyway.

    Pretty good sv changes. making eagle and harp baseline is very good. the bombardier change is huge for me, it really did not feel great with the explo spam after ca. also glad they did the juggler changes. flanking strike change is currently good but will most likely be nerfed - dont think sv will get a good button to press like that ~~ but thats me being a negative cunt.

    really hoping that they take multishot out as a talent and just give it as a baseline ability. it's so bizarre that hunters have to talent their most basic aoe function, i can't think of any other class that needs to do this. or if they do, like destro lock for example, it's a talent but you can't advance farther down the tree without taking it.

    Dude ty for the update dude, now the survivability has improved for Hunter I think it's going to be a ok "class" to bring to M+ where ATM getting into a bug group is a nightmare due to the community conception and righty so as keeping a Hunter alive was not so good lol but I hope I can main hunter again S1 TWW

    Hey Azor! Been a fan for a long time, and even when I fell out of love with how hunter played I kept up with your videos & updates about each of the specs. This new rework has reignited the spark of wanting to play hunter again and I am very excited about it! - and it sounds like you are aswell :)
    For the past iterations of the class, and specially now trying the specs on the beta, I have felt that focus is basically irrelevant in the spec? I have had this feeling for a while, basically every spec has one/two buttons that cost focus BUT have a CD, and then a passive/semi-passive way to generate the focus required, so unless you make serious basic mistakes (such as spam casting arcane shot on MM) you will never run out of it.
    Having played on Cata, focus there feels like you actually have control over the resource, while here it just flows up and down mostly out of your control. It currently sort of feels more like energy, but i've played rogue/monk/feral and in those specs energy actually restrics their secondary resource, while for hunters focus feels... like its not there.
    I don't know if you've talked about this before or if it's not even an issue in your eyes, but I wanted to get your opinion on it. Thanks for the awesome coverage as always.

    Even though the pack leader tree seems very underwhelming ikn that it mostly just makes pets stronger, the changes to the BM tree where dire beast might be viable (I HOPE!) and hati/fenryr showing up seems to put the pack back in pack leader.
    This is all just hopeful but yeah I want my pack leader to be constantly summoning the zoo alongside my two loyal companions.

    The question that remains here is WHY we would want to throw less bombs. The whole fun of the last iteration was to throw A LOT of them, so basically those changes read "do less fun things and more boring ones"

    My one concern with the Hunter’s prey location swap is it makes it even more difficult to be able to use Serpent Sting in a Basilisks collar build. I liked the idea of micromanaging my DoTs to increase pet damage but this change makes an already sub-par build even more difficult to talent into, especially when considering that both hero talent options incentivize you to build Call of the Wild which is on the other side of the tree. I’d like to see either Venom’s Bite changed to a different proc other than Kill Shot, or some slight changes in location that makes picking up both options more available to capitalize on the Basilisk collar/DoT talents

    I notice that Dark ranger has a lot of single target offerings and with the new affixes isn't BM kind of locked into dark ranger? The shadow damage for the affix as well as the single target focus to the abilities. I know barb shot isn't the most exciting thing to push but it's still a single target button that can get you to more kill commands overall.

      Dark Ranger's single-target focus is exactly what makes it so awful, since Pack Leader has all of the single-target power AND the AoE on top.
      I suspect the elemental damage affixes are not going to have an appreciable impact on things like Dark Ranger vs Pack Leader.
      "Non-boss enemies", okay so maybe half the dungeon.
      "Without mana", okay, so maybe half of half of the dungeon, or 25%.
      "Take 10% increased Shadow damage"
      Okay, and Dark Ranger BM Hunters do maybe.. 10% Shadow damage.
      So 10% of your damage is buffed by 10%.. for 25% of the dungeon..
      That's 0.25% DPS overall.
      You can double any of the assumed numbers and you'll still never break a 1% difference from the affix.

    i feel like maybe if they switched huntmaster's call and dire beast this'd be more appealing to get for M+ aswell. you'll probably take it 100% for raid, but having to go through dire beast in a M+ scenario will probably feel super bad

      Well they actually came out with these changes within a week which is pretty speedy by their standards. I don't particularly fault them for not having addressed MM as well within a week. Hoping for next week though.

      It's very hard to "tune" the problems away when Dark Ranger is just mechanically so far behind. Almost everything it does is single-target. But even if Black Arrow cleaved or something, it's hard to imagine that fixing much. You'd just have way more Barbed/Aimed resets than you could handle. And Black Arrow is giving the wrong spell for both specs: BM doesn't want more Barbeds, it wants more Kill Commands. MM doesn't want more Aimeds, it wants more Rapid Fires.

      Survival got a new mastery that is just a flat % increase to all abilities while your pet is within 25 yrds.

    I really wish for BM that we can choose one or two pets. For any aoe I am forced to take animal companion. I know I am a minority regarding this. Thanks for the videos. I am looking forward to seeing you raid with each spec.

    @Azortharion hey man great videos! I was wondering since I can’t seem to find it myself … is master marksman bleed going to only be mm now? Jeez I hope surv still gets it …. Gonna feel reel bad if they make the rotation revolve around Crit and take that away from surv …..

      Master Marksman is MM only, but BM has a very similar mechanic under a different name:, Laceration: www.wowhead.com/beta/spell=459552/laceration
      SV does not have an equivalent mechanic, but it still has effects that scale with Crit:

    I'm still not really a fan of how Bloodseeker is behind Terms of Engagement in the survival tree.
    I still think that they should make Ruthless Marauder a 1pt talent just like Deadly Duo is after Spearhead.
    Even if it's just for a week to see how it works on the PTR I'd like to see all those 2pt nodes (Explosive Expert, Sweeping Spear & Killer Companion) go down to being 1pt nodes, I know that would allow us to get all 3 of the capstone CDs, though we would still likely have the choose between Ruthless Marauder & Deadly Duo, but if we didn't want both Fury of the Eagle & Spearhead we'd have a bit of flexibility in the upper portion of the tree, right now it feels really locked in.

    Not sure why all the testers have there heads wrapped around max damage. Would like to see more party utilities, better aoe stun/ interrupt with no cap, things like that. You know meta things. Hunters will always be pumpers.

      You might like my class tree video which has more about utility and survivability. Most generic hunter utility cannot be found in the spec trees which this video is about.

    Hey, if flanking strike and wildfire bomb cost fokus now, the passiv of sv hunter triggers here as well. so these spells gets a huge buff. maybe at the start of TWW 30% or so? they have to fix now the sv hunter mastery passiv. Is way bigger than mm passiv now.

      Remember that The War Within also changed Survival's Mastery - it no longer scales specifically with things that cost Focus:

    Multi shot still sucks…we sick of see white lines/streaks it should be elemental with poison electric fire tar and I been waiting on barrage to get fixed since legion hit hits every target and the back barn it shouldn’t pierce targets!!!!!

    Does it mean we SV have to generate more mastery > vers in the new expansion?
    cause now bombs cast focus plus the mastery bond with our pet to reduce dmg??

      @Azortharion I'm hoping. I was very disappointed to see how bad the drop off when getting single target/aoe talents. It seems we have to pick one or the other. While Salvo is still good. We have no single target options that I feel are good.

    Changes look great. I can’t wait until we are mid tier to bottom again while Blizzard continues its 20 year campaign of propping up mages and warlocks and whatever FOTM.

      Until hunters get better cc, ie a proper group stun that doesnt cap at three targets or proper group interrupts or both, any sort of good party utilities, I wouldn't count on hunters being meta anything.

      Indeed, more is required for MM. I didn't mention it in this video, but it seems Focused Aim is intended to be a 2-pointer after all, which only makes MM's expensive AoE talents worse.

      Nice. All we can do is hope something happens. Tree is must better than current tree but you can tell they made some pointers 2 because they had no ideas for additional talents. Looking at you focused aim and legacy of the windrunner.

      @Azortharion there was a part of me that thought they would use a section of the talent tree to make aimed shot a empowerment spell. Then a few talents below it to make different effects for different charge levels.
