Unless used cardellinis are usually over $50, the Bogen super clamp with the removeable spud is under $50 and a necessity in any grip bag! Actually a grip bag/grip accessory video might not be a bad idea.
What's the XLR to 3.5 mm converter and complete part list for its set up. I'm trying to find one with a compact 3.5 malr out that I can plug into a wireless transmitter like you have. Form my search they're all female not male.
Normally when I see these lists they're full of cheaply built crap with dubious usability. This list is different. This list is golden. I'm purchasing at least 3 of the items on this list. Thanks Caleb! You rock!
Golden indeed, ordered a couple of those light stands before the video even ended! And an OM 50 plus a Fuji adapter were under $50 together, cheers Caleb for such a great list!!
Every time I see you uploaded a new video, Christmas just so happens to come early that day! Love your content, and you will always be one of the OGs from the many film RUclips channels that pop up almost on the daily! Quality over Quantity I'd like to say 👍👍
Among many quality creations from you, this is one of the most useful one. Lots to learn, lots to discover, lots to spend on but wisely ! Thank you, and many thanks to the contributing folks as well !
Thanks for this list! There are quite a few valuable treasures in this trove, especially that super compact lumecube stand. I picked up a couple Ambitful light wands this week and was trying to figure out the most minimal way to carry and set them up when not having someone else working with me.
I love these lists. Last Christmas I gave the 20 dollar list to my friends and family and I got more gear in a single season than I ever have before. It was a lot of fun to get so many little useful gifts.
Great list and video! That battery charging case especially caught my attention, definitely will be checking it out. Regarding that small Vijim light: be careful not to charge it while in use. I had a bigger version of it (VL196) that melted the body and became unusable (couldn't turn it off because the power button got stuck on the warped body) just because it was charging while in use and inside a makeshift diffuser for just a couple of hours. Returned it and got another one with an aluminum body instead.
Great list as always. I might have to snatch one of those camera bags for an upcoming trip, seems like it could be a great fit to mix clothing and gear in-one
That idea to plug a condenser mic straight into a wireless transmitter (+ recorder) is such simple genius, and would have saved me on two shoots recently. Also for anyone struggling to find that exact adapter, I eventually found that searching for an XLR to 3.5mm *converter* is the key phrase.
Do you have a link for that? I have a Rode NTG4+ and I have struggled to get the signal into my DSLRs. I read recently that because the Rode is balanced mono, sending it directly into unbalanced stereo would sound awful anyway? I'm imagining Caleb wouldn't be suggesting this if it did though?
@@solutionboytv About your stereo/mono problem, this is fixable if you just convert the track with the camera audio to a mono track in post. That will convert it back to the microphones output format.
That Wireless Go ii charger is exactly what I need! I can't tell you how annoying it is having to carry around cables and a big battery pack to charge them after a long shoot and the camera charger with the SD card holder is something I might have to invest in too!
I’ll be honest with you, most of the time I find gear lists like this to be totally useless as most items that fit into a price category are things you’d never use or would quickly replace or have dubious usefulness. In short, most of the time these lists are kinda worthless. And to a degree that is still true here. But even in saying that there are items in this list that would likely be useful for a long time that I didn’t know about, and the pricing does make sense for someone that is price sensitive. For me, that’s the ultra compact travel stand. I do a lot of doc work and frankly lights, even for interviews is oftentimes a non-starter in the field. But at that size and 14” that would allow the use of a small panel or multiple small panels to be used. The RODE wireless go battery charger/bank could be used by basically anyone that has that as a set and wants to have an easy/convenient way to travel with their kit. There were a few others that I think would legitimately useful like the multi-pin head - but suffice to say this exceeded expectations. Solid content.
The Xvive is great (I have one and use it frequently), but it should be noted that not every XLR mic will fit in it. The opening for the mic "ring"... outer circle of the mic... is narrow, so many professional mics are too thick. It won't take my AudioTechnica AT897 or sE8, but will take my DPA and Oktava.
Amazing to see that lens on a list again. I got one back when you made your first video on it. That was the first lens I ever bought as an upgrade from a kit lens, still have it!
Nice video! I am a video assist operator and I use a triple-header for my teradek/servpro/router rigs. Extremely useful. Shooting in some muddy forest or don't have a lot of space? No problem. Just take off the whole thing and mount it on a c-stand.
I wish they would make a camera bag with a hard compartment with internal padding for camera and lenses. Basically just adding a rigid shell around the overall padded area. It would be good to also have such a compartment for a laptop as well. Hard outer shell with internal padding.
Did you know that the VJIM RGB LED Video Light is made by Ulanzi as well? I think they are even the original manufacturers. I was able to snatch a 48 dollar version of Aliexpress including some extra stuff like a ballhead and tripod for that money (came with).
The first item has a similar product from Andoer, which I ordered a small while ago. They are probably the same product/build quality and I really like them so far!
Fantastic list. Those stands are amazing. I've been wanting some modern, compact and lightweight that can go up to at least 8" so that came TV light stand looks perfect ❤️🔥 The portable xlr phantom power seems great too especially paired with the wireless go
6:44 I have this case. It's super versatile and useful. Picked it up when I read that my EOSR that I was getting wouldn't have had great battery life, and I have loved this purchase. Btw. The EOS R was taken on a shoot the other day. Took 2500 shots and it still had 1/4 battery with no swaps, soooo . Not bad
Also had that Rode Powerbank Case, was annoying to charge because whenever i had the mics and receiver put in while charging the case i had to remeber to shut of the charging for the mics otherwise it would take a couple of days to fully charge
These are really cool and I like when you show gear that's affordable and not too bad overall! The two stands have my attention, with the air cushion being something I didn't know I was looking for and the mini being really cool overall! I also like the battery charger case idea! Great video!
I've been looking for a cheap video camera that gives good results. Doesn't have to be Hollywood good, but "good enough" and cheap. Do you have recommendations?
I would love to buy a few of those "regular" light stands from B&H because the are way cheaper than Amazon and are tax free in my area, but B&H says it is a special order and could take 2-4 months to deliver...
Does the Deiti D4 Mini work on Black Magic? I didn't think it was possible to use a non-powered mic through of any kind on those cameras? I have the BMPCC 6K and cannot get my D4 to work on it. Thanks for your help.
Great video, thanks 👍 Which small video light would you choose, the Andoer in your $20 video or the VJIN in this video? On Amazon UK they are pretty much the same price, so I’m wondering should I just buy the VJIN? Thanks Rob
Thanks Caleb! Would you recommend getting the XVive P1 and using the Deity S-Mic 2 as an on-camera mic with it, instead of a regular on-camera Mic like Rode VideoMic?
Beautiful! Another amazing video as always. Thanks for this. Randomly I’ve bought 2 of the VJim lights, although they were branded differently. I based my decision on some of your previous videos. They are superb! I just wanted some to hide in some lights (as you’ve shown) and am very happy with the result. The other items are really enlightening, love the 3 way stand and the XLR Phantom device. Where’s my wallet! Something else which probably should have been on here is your LUT kit, that’s also under 50 bucks. I’m going to it out on the A1 even though it may not be officially supported. I’ve seen that some of the other LUT packages that I’ve purchased (leeming etc) cover the likes of the A7S3 and A1 with the same LUT’s. Therefore will see how it goes 😁
Wow! The Olympus OM 50 1.8 was the first lens I had (on a Panasonic G5, not GH5, just G5) that caused me to think "fake (budget) filmmaking" was a legit possibility. I really loved having the aperture dial on the END of the lens, and the focus feel was great.
Where did you find the XLR to mini male adaptor you use in the (XVive P1 segment )? When I try to use a short XLR to mini cable out of the P1 I only get hiss being recorded to my Tentacle TRACK-E. This is a SUPER helpful Video Thank you so much.
Great list that u share, what I would like to use the wireless go with sm58 hand mic, but I couldn’t find the XLR female to 3.5mm male adapter, could you share the link where u purchase that?
What would you add to this list? I'll go first and say a Matthellini clamp. Super versatile grip accessory!
Hey Caleb, would you recommend those came-tv stands for use in the field? Thinking of using them with an Aputure 120d ii and 120cm softbox.
you forgot to link the xlr to 3.5mm jack!
Unless used cardellinis are usually over $50, the Bogen super clamp with the removeable spud is under $50 and a necessity in any grip bag! Actually a grip bag/grip accessory video might not be a bad idea.

I'm trying to find one with a compact 3.5 malr out that I can plug into a wireless transmitter like you have. Form my search they're all female not male.
Would you get the 48 phantom power or Saramonic Smartrig 2?
I call these "What is Amazon about to sell out of because Caleb talked about it?" Good stuff!
Nice pfp
DUDE! Just bought the Phantom power attachment the other day and did not think about attaching a wireless rode transmitter to my 416!! You're a genius
Thank you for the kind words JSeph! Means a lot!
That Xvive Phantom power supply is awesome! I am about to review it!
Trying to get that old Mac to work at the end lol. I always appreciate how unique and budget friend your lists are. Great video as usual.
caleb recommends.. ope nevermind it’s sold out
Ha! Thanks man!
You are the only content creator that makes it 100% worth it to give time to. I watch 10 minutes and I save 100x.
Thank you Caleb.

Thanks Ben! Yeah I love bags that have multiple uses.

been searching for the exact plug/adapter, but have not been able to. any other advice than using the word "converter"? a link or product name?
That test shot at the end looked amazing. 2 tone Color coordination on point
That Wireless Go ii charger is exactly what I need! I can't tell you how annoying it is having to carry around cables and a big battery pack to charge them after a long shoot and the camera charger with the SD card holder is something I might have to invest in too!
Love the look of that battery case and the baby pin extender!
Thanks Aram!!!
That battery case caught my eye for sure

You somehow read my mind with the phantom power adapter that is literally amazing thank you so much!
Holy moly! Some solid options to choose from! I really enjoyed the phantom power provide, I think that will be the best option for me.
The Xvive is great (I have one and use it frequently), but it should be noted that not every XLR mic will fit in it. Big up on that Olympus lens! I’ve been using the Olympus Om50 for almost 10 years now across 6 different camera body upgrades. Love it!
Amazing to see that lens on a list again. I got one back when you made your first video on it. That was the first lens I ever bought as an upgrade from a kit lens, still have it!

I ordered the tiny light stand
3:45 What would happen if you daisy chain a couple of those together?
I wish they would make a camera bag with a hard compartment with internal padding for camera and lenses. Basically just adding a rigid shell around the overall padded area. It would be good to also have such a compartment for a laptop as well. Hard outer shell with internal padding.
That olympus lens was the first vintage lens I ever owned! Great recommendations
I Love this Format
Glad you're digging it!
Your videos are litreally like a soul treatment to me. Great list for once more! The little light stand definitaly caught my eye!
Hahaha! Wow. First time hearing that one 😂 so glad you enjoyed it.
Sorry this is completely off topic, but do you still have a camera guide for the Sony A6300? Thanks!
7:05 people being recharged are always happy.
Did you know that the VJIM RGB LED Video Light is made by Ulanzi as well? I think they are even the original manufacturers. I was able to snatch a 48 dollar version of Aliexpress including some extra stuff like a ballhead and tripod for that money (came with).
Stellar list as always. Awesome affordable things I have not seen yet.
Those battery chargers & stand adapters will come in handy! Great video! Thank you! Excellent lighting when sitting at the vintage computer!
I like your channel as you are always finding good gear at the right prices
I have that Olympus lens, but the f1.4 model. It's beautiful and I would absolutely recommend it
I see a familiar item! thanks for the shout Caleb!
Thanks for sharing on Discord! Super handy.
DUDE! All awesome suggestions to stretch our filming dollar! TY
Great list! Thanks for sharing your recommendations!
Awesome items! I have item 9.
Very useful information especially for me, a beginner of content creator. Lots of thanks.
The first item has a similar product from Andoer, which I ordered a small while ago.
They are probably the same product/build quality and I really like them so far!
I have edited myself into movies and TV shows using some of your advice, tips and tricks so thanks!!!
Wow! Thank you for the kind words and congrats!
I have several double and triple headers.... LOVE THEm
Wow, I have the Olympus 50mm Len’s sitting on my OM1, it’s been sitting on a book shelf gathering dust, might be time to breathe some light into it
Lots of cool affordable stuff. Thanks, Caleb.
Fantastic list. Those stands are amazing. I've been wanting some modern, compact and lightweight that can go up to at least 8" so that came TV light stand looks perfect ❤️🔥
The portable xlr phantom power seems great too especially paired with the wireless go
Definitely gonna be checking some of this stuff out
6:44 I have this case.
Not bad
Really good selection. I really enjoyed this episode
Thanks! In Italy some of those accessories cost something like 100€ or are not available, we know Europe is not the best place to buy technology
super useful to increase production value in my future videos and finally hit 1k subs!
Also had that Rode Powerbank Case, was annoying to charge because whenever i had the mics and receiver put in while charging the case i had to remeber to shut of the charging for the mics otherwise it would take a couple of days to fully charge
dude that little rgb light is a beast... just got it in today... super great for macros, and i got it for like $42 shipped.
These are really cool and I like when you show gear that's affordable and not too bad overall! The two stands have my attention, with the air cushion being something I didn't know I was looking for and the mini being really cool overall! I also like the battery charger case idea! Great video!
I've had my eye on that Rode charging case for a while. Now I'm definitely getting one.
some really great finds in this one!
Great, just when I thought I had all I needed you drop this video. Thanks a lot. :)
I've been looking for a cheap video camera that gives good results. Doesn't have to be Hollywood good, but "good enough" and cheap. Do you have recommendations?
Awesome. I'll buy them all.
I would love to buy a few of those "regular" light stands from B&H because the are way cheaper than Amazon and are tax free in my area, but B&H says it is a special order and could take 2-4 months to deliver...
Man this was a 10 out of 10 video (as always). I think I went to every single item on Amazon while watching and added them to my wish list 😅
Just used your link to get the Rode Wireless Go II charging case!
i have the same bag, i bought it in 2017 and it just hasn't moved at all ! really recommand it !
Mac Os 6.5 on an old SE, brings back a ton of memories from the 80's
FYI: camera charging case links, go to batteries, not the charging case.
Wow that rode kit charger is genius.. preordering via your link asap
Does the Deiti D4 Mini work on Black Magic? I didn't think it was possible to use a non-powered mic through of any kind on those cameras? I have the BMPCC 6K and cannot get my D4 to work on it. Thanks for your help.
Very Nice! Interested in the bag. 😉
What Mic are you using for your dialog? Ive watched most of your videos - This mic sounds great... Thanks
wow that compact stand!
What’s Caleb’s favorite LED tube lights?
Fantastic video, great work!
Great video, thanks 👍
Which small video light would you choose, the Andoer in your $20 video or the VJIN in this video?
On Amazon UK they are pretty much the same price, so I’m wondering should I just buy the VJIN?
Thanks
Rob
What is that adapter you used to connect the phantom power unit to the wireless transmitter?
Always great contend. Thank you for sharing your finds.
Hey Caleb I'm looking forward to next monday :P
Thanks Caleb! Would you recommend getting the XVive P1 and using the Deity S-Mic 2 as an on-camera mic with it, instead of a regular on-camera Mic like Rode VideoMic?
I have the same bag just in an other color. has been holding up greate for nearly 10 years now.
Some nice ideas ! I suggest a review of the new DJI Mic (vs rode wireless II) for a next video !
Beautiful! Another amazing video as always. Thanks for this.
Randomly I’ve bought 2 of the VJim lights, although they were branded differently. I based my decision on some of your previous videos.

Triple head stand adapter, where have you been for the past couple years? Thanks man!
I got the sony version for the battery case, I love it!
The first light stand is not available at either place in your description. The second light stand is over $50. At both locations.
Great list!
Certainly interested in the (9) Camera Battery Charging Case though finding a Nikon variant seems impossible. Any leads appreciated.
I know some good lamps under $50
I would love that battery case.
Unfortunately they don't seem to be available in europe :(
Great video! Would the "Camera Battery Charging Case" for Canon work on a EOS R6?
Wow! The Olympus OM 50 1.8 was the first lens I had (on a Panasonic G5, not GH5, just G5) that caused me to think "fake (budget) filmmaking" was a legit possibility. I really loved having the aperture dial on the END of the lens, and the focus feel was great.
I NEED that triple header
Do you think I could throw a Sony ZV-1 on the Lume light stand?
hi bud !! great stuff as always ... just one thing i have to say about your vids ... try to use a deesser. it is gonna help a ton
The Lume Cube compact light stand is $60.. did they raise the price?
Where did you find the XLR to mini male adaptor you use in the (XVive P1 segment )?
When I try to use a short XLR to mini cable out of the P1 I only get hiss being recorded to my Tentacle TRACK-E.
This is a SUPER helpful Video Thank you so much.
i know its been two years, but im also looking for this. did you ever find one?
Great list that u share, what I would like to use the wireless go with sm58 hand mic, but I couldn’t find the XLR female to 3.5mm male adapter, could you share the link where u purchase that?
Have you done a video yet on your old Red scarlet? i saw it in the thumnail?
Hi, great video. Is the Xvive P1 a preamp? as in, will it affect the sound quality of my shotgun microphone?
Thanks for the video Caleb! do you think that LumeCube stand could hold a amaran 60d with a small umbrella?
