Over the weekend, the Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), General Michael Kurilla, arrived in Israel to “coordinate” with the Israeli military and plan a military strike against Iran. Think about that for a moment: one of the highest-ranking officers in the US military is planning a war in a foreign country against another foreign country which will be fueled by American weapons, American intelligence, and American tax dollars.
It was the Israeli missile attack on Tehran - an unprecedented event - that set off this chain of escalation, but few would know if from media coverage. This war fever between Israel and Iran not only has nothing to do with us, but our increasing involvement actually hurts our national interests in the region.
We are sleepwalking into a catastrophic war, lulled into compliance by non-stop media propaganda. More billions will be drained from our economy and many more innocent lives will be lost in this madness. Almost a quarter of a century later we still have not learned the lessons of 9/11. When we go abroad wreaking havoc and destruction on foreign populations who have not harmed us we create enemies who will seek revenge. We harm ourselves. And we risk blowback. It should be mentioned that we cannot afford a battle much less a war. Our economy is so fragile from debt that one big oil shock, one of the targets, would cause our markets to panic. What the fed going to do this time? More QE? Hyperinflation? WW2we were a solvent country. Now we have the debt of a WW2 but no victory, just lavish consumption. This will not end well.

Exactly. The proposed "peace plan" is ridiculous - they basically want to give Ukraine time to regroup and recoup, and to join NATO (which is a big reason why this war started in the first place). If Russia falls for this, then it deserves to lose (even if the loss comes 30 years down the track).

But how would the US keep its position in the world unless it pursues its imperial desires. The US's position in the world, afforded to them after WW2, is in rapid collapse and the current regime is not passing the baton gracefully.
Zelensky didn't try to prevent the conflict through diplomacy because he lacks honor and integrity.
In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time
Russia's national security was compromised once NATO began to expand eastwards. Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining NATO was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. The Russians openly stated: if nothing changes, we will be forced to act in order to defend our national security. Enhancing the national security of one country at the expense of another is unacceptable. The Russians have legitimate security concerns.

NATO is not a defensive alliance. NATO illegally bombed Yugoslavia (a direct violation of the U.N. Charter).

There is evidence that Ukrainian troops have been indiscriminately shelling civilians in Donbas (they used petal mines and targeted areas where there was no military presence).
The azov troops trapped in the azovstal steelworks in Mariupol used human shields. They refused to allow civilians to leave despite of humanitarian corridors being present.
Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.
Ukraine has committed many acts of terrorism (car bombs and other forms of assassination). Darya Dugina (journalist) R.I.P.
The first terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed the truck driver and the individuals in the adjacent car (innocent civilian victims).
The second terrorist attack on the Kerch bridge killed two parents and severely injured their young daughter.
I have done a lot of research and it took me a long time to write this comment. I have stated a lot of facts and I have given my honest opinion.
I have provided a brief summary of events that took place. In order to explain this whole situation in great detail, a book would need to be written.
Hopefully someone will write an UNBIASED book, stating facts and allowing the readers to form their own judgments. Everything I said can be fact checked and verified.

There used to be a negioated peaceful solution that Ukraine could easily have taken.
Now there is nothing left but the complete dismantling of Ukraines army, and loosing territory also seem inevitable - This is because Russia can not trust Ukraine anymore, or the west for that matter.
Also the west has shown it's intentions of wanting conflict with Russia, it is a lukewarm war that will be fought through proxies, cyberattacks, economic measures, propaganda, etc. Builidng up tensions until some (puppet?) leader(s) trigger the full scale WW3.
Unfortunately WW3 seem to be the only way out of the collapsing western economy, the morale decay, and all the other pointers that an empire is falling - Otherwise people would have to acutally take responsibility; much easier to blame everything on someone else.

Western media admits Russia is making substantial gains in Eastern Ukraine in the last weeks / months and things are accelerating, meanwhile the unelected Zelensky says Ukraine will only accept return to the 1991 Ukraine borders, and he has a "victory plan" to achieve that. When you see him talk he gives the impression of completely normal person... maybe it's just me, but I find it really hard to make sense of this situation, and in particular what is going on in Zelensky's mind. One should furthermore ask the obvious question why are the Ukrainians tolerating this?

NATO's 5th paragraph cannot be invoked in the case of a country that is not member of NATO + to become part of NATO, this country needs to have no conflict in process with a tierce part + the acceptance of this country inside the alliance has to be unanimous. I think Kursk is just like krynky for Russia. When Ukraine sent troops to krynky Russia purposely didn’t push into krynky but rather kept on shredding the troops there with artillery. In Kursk Ukraine is sending thousands of men which could be used to rotate troops in hotter areas of the combat line but no. In Kursk Russians are grinding Ukrainians with artillery and fpv drones. Additionally elite Russian troops are holding the line in key objectives preventing Ukrainian expansion as a push into another village can cost a lot of lives and equipment which Ukraine doesn’t have.
Kursk could very well be the mistake that ends the war. Since RUS removed mines before UKR made the move on that part of the frontline makes me think was it actually a trap?

14:24 Correct me if I'm wrong, but NATO's core constitution forbids extending membership to states that are fighting an active war. This was designed back in the early days of the cold war (when NATO didn't look like the scary behemoth it does today, & alliances as a concept was still questionable after everything that happened before and during WWII) to prevent any potential future warmongering actions appear unlikely. If my understanding is correct, this was done in a bid to encourage more European states to join NATO. Long story short, I think a determined Russia CAN prevent Ukraine from joining NATO so long as its willing to swallow whatever consequences the western hemisphere will impose on Russia for doing that. (Also, Russia can probably persuade at least one of the many NATO members - Türkiye comes to mind - to block the consensus needed to join NATO - in exchange for some dodgy backroom deal, of course).

Your information about what’s going on in Kursk region is always incorrect. Apti Allaudinov paints a completely different picture. Ukrainians are not winning in any part of Kursk. They are being wiped out.
