It says the galaxy is 13.5 billion years old, and the universe itself is around 13.8 billion years. Im pretty sure that means 300,000 years AFTER the big bang. It was most likely a mistake.
Well yes but also no. The universe is always expanding so, one part of the universe can be technically older than another and, a galaxy can be in the olver part, causing a galaxy to be older than a specific part of the universe.

In other words, a galaxy could've been apart of an older time in universe and that universe expanded to what we have now, because since the universe expands to infinity faster than light, there could be some parts of a universe that's older than another. The closer to a star the orbit is, the slower is the satellite moving! Increasing velocity will lead to a bigger orbit. However, a bigger orbit means more distance needs to be made for the satellite to finish a full rotation around the sun. The actual m/s are higher, but the orbit frequency is slower. You were pretty misleading there.
