Yup Kensurfs "Wall of fame" was one of the first things that came to mind too. One of the greatest!...A standard for many aspiring gentlemen and would-be spies. A full life lived. RIP Sir Sean Connery.
R.I.P. Sean Connery. He was in "Highlander 2: The Awakening" as Ramirez. There was a famous quote he did when him and Highlander were in a room and the fan was going down. "Most people have a full measure of life. Most people merely watch it let it slip away. If you can sum it all up at one time and one place, you can accomplish something.... GLORIOUS!!!!
A Bridge Too Far is the second movie about Operation Market Garden. The first one was called Theirs is the Glory from 1946. My Grandfather jumped for that movie, since he was a Paratrooper in WWII and was in that battle. He also jumped in Normandy, but was blinded on his way down, but was rescued by a French girl, then he was in Southern France and after that battle, him and the 12 men that were left alive in his Company went to England, where they met King George VI and danced with Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret. He was also in the Battle of the Bulge and he also was one of the few Americans that trained to be a British Commando.
Sean Connery was not only nominated for the Untouchables, he WON the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Untouchables! The man was truly a talent like no other and there will never be anyone else like him! He was the original and very best James Bond (DC is a close second for me personally) and he was the absolute EPITOME of classic masculinity and class! The Hunt for Red October and The Rock were probably his best and most notable performances from the 1990’s. I remember the Rock was the very first movie I ever saw him in back in 1996 when I was a young boy. Goldfinger was the very first Bond film I saw him in back in 1997 immediately after getting home from seeing Tomorrow Never Dies in the movie theater. At 8 years old I was made a James Bond fan and a Connery fan for life! We will all miss him and treasure our fondest memories of his work for the rest of our lives. May he Rest In Peace now 🙏🏻
“The name of the rose” is another great movie with Sean Connery that people are not aware of usually. A bit slow sometimes but very unique! And the book is also a must-read. RIP
Sean Connery was James Bond. He and that character were perfect for that time and place. To quote The Big Lebowski: "Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there."
I was born in 1990, just turned 30, but I'm proud to say that I saw all the movies you mentioned. I'm a huge fan of Sean Connery. I want to mention another cool movie from my childhood, The Rock, from 1996, with Nicolas Cage. Great action movie from the '90ties. It's sad to say goodbye to a man wich has been a sort of grampa for many many people like me all around the world, but is reassuring to know that all of them, all of us, will never forget him.
When i saw that Sean Connery Died I immediately thought of you. The movies that I've seen are of course the first James Bond Movie, The Hunt For Red October And my Favorite Indiana Jones The Last Crusade. He will Greatly be Missed. RIP Sir Sean Connery!
I watched The last crusade October 30th. I saw it was free on Amazon or netflix, one of the two, so I set and watched it. When I heard he died the next day, I was like WTH!?
You know what ive realized? The older I get the older classic actors get as well. Makes me sad. I’m 25 right now. Im into twilight zone and all the classic movies from the 50s and 60s. Like 007, rear window, some like it hot. Movies like that bring joy. Great shave Ken!
When I heard that Sean Connery died I was expecting this video. However, you have exceeded even my expectations. This is your best effort. Couple of things. My own father died of Alzheimers in May, 2012. I think about my Dad every single day. Had a physical last week. Everything went pretty well, except my PSA was a little high. I’ve been referred to a urologist, so we’ll see how that goes. Let’s be honest, my friend. This isn’t really about shaving, something we enjoy, but about life. I notice that with several of the shave channels I watch, but especially yours, so don’t sell yourself short. Thank you.
How can we sum up what Sean Connery gave us as an actor....incredible......how do I sum up what Kensurfs gives us every time we tune in for a great conversation and an always interesting shave.......wonderful.....
I was already missing Sir Connery. The Man Who Would Be King, Entrapment, The Presidio, The Hunt for Red October “things don’t react well to bullets”, Rising Sun, The Rock. These a but a few of my favorites. Sir Connery was already sorely missed, but will surely be missed by all.
By coincidence, I bought my first vintage razor, a 1964 Gillette slim the other day. I told a friend “James Bond used this!” I felt so cool! Like everyone else, I knew there would be a tribute shave coming. One of the last true movie icons. Impressive what a late career resurgence he had. Leaves quite a legacy. 🎬
I am 24 and I think Mr Connery’s style and demeanour will always remain a reference point for men even in the times to come. Great video as always. Cheers!
I think we can all agree that the year 2020 is one for the history books and my opinion is that Sean was the best James bond there ever was he will be missed deeply
My first memory of him was in Darby O'Gill. My 60's mother raised us 80's kids on her favourite movies and it's still a favourite of mine today. I still whistle the song he sings in the film when I'm choring around the house. Thanks for sharing the shave!
Hi Ken. Spectacular shave. In fact, I believe it qualifies as one of your best. Sean Connery has always been my quintessential Bond, and that shall remain. To this day, and in my opinion, not even Daniel Craig compares to Sean Connery's Bond, a sophisticated debonair with humor and quick wit. Sean Connery oozed and exuded confidence, good looks, charm and intelligence with humor. Rejoice, for the believers shall reside in God's Kingdom when we finally go home, as we're simply visiting down here. Praise be to God. Amen.
I'm weeping as I type this. This goes out to everyone still reading along: I implore everyone and anyone who hasn't yet given their life to Christ, to do so NOW. Before it's too late. Is today your last day? Tomorrow? How about me? We don't know, for on the other side of our last breath, we shall meet Jesus face to face, and give an account for our life. Please don't wait.
Fitting tribute, Surfs, Ken Surfs. My favourite none Bond movie of his has to be The Name of the Rose, but I also loved The Man Who Would Be King and Time Bandits. A super cool legend the likes of which we will never see again RIP Sean.
My grandfather was a paratrooper who was dropped into Arnhem for Operation Market Garden. He never spoke of the war, but I remember watching "A Bridge To Far" with him on TV, and he said it was pretty accurate. He was declared missing in action, and had to hide in a barn for quite sometime. In the early '90's we attended a Christening in his home village, and we saw his name on the Roll of Honour engraved on the wall of the church. Apparently no-one was told he was found!
The Rock.... Indy Jones.... Red October.... The list goes on and on, he will be sorely missed. RIP Sir Connery. Thanks Ken for a tribute shave to this iconic actor, well done my friend. The shave went well too💈💈 No issues and Bond, James Bond would be proud. Great products and the Gillette Slim shined like Sean Connery did in Gold Finger. Stay safe. Enjoy!
It is very sad that great, talented people are passed away. But it's good that their wonderful legacy remains. Although everyone remembers Connery for his role as James Bond, I first saw him as Ramírez from the movie Highlander. Which has always appears in the memory of Connor and Duncan MacLeod. Just like Connery will always be in the memory of his fans. Good video. Thank you, Ken!
I'm about 40 years younger than Sean Connery and he is one of the actors that influenced my generation (mostly beyond Bond). My favourite role of his is as Jimmy Malone in tThe Untouchables. (As John Patrick Mason in The Rock an honourable 2nd).
Enjoyed your tribute, With all the great Sean Connery movies, he will live forever. Goldfinger, The Untouchables, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and The Hunt for Red October are four of my favorites.
My favourite, non Bond, Connery movies are The Name of The Rose, Hunt for Red October and, of course, The Man Who Would Be King. Great actor. I will miss him greatly. 😥
Wonderful video Ken. An emotional shave. I also enjoyed watching Sean Connery movies. To me, he put the legendary James Bond on the map. Set the standard for the rest to follow. To this day , he's not been bettered. It tickles me that all the characters he's played over the years, have Scottish accents. And I've still enjoyed his performances. Look after yourself Ken. Stay safe.
Great tribute Ken. The world has lost a great man, a great actor. Didn't know he suffered from dementia. Lost my dad in 2019 to dementia and it's associated complications. What a terrible disease it is. Thanks for doing this... cheers.
I got my feathers today Ken. I got some cuts man. I got some cuts. I love your videos man, I love the way you talk and discuss and share things from your life and what the community is commenting on your videos, keep it up. Love watching your videos.
My favourite Sean Connery film was 'The Hill'. I seem to recall reading years ago that he regarded it as one of his best pieces of work. It's black and white and is set in a British Army Military Prison in North Africa during World War Two. Quite a low key film. I believe he drew on his experiences in the Royal Navy for the part.
I really liked Sean Connery in Indiana Jones: the Last Crusade. One of my all time favorite movies. Harrison Ford and Sean Connery. He will be missed dearly.
Bond Thunderball, Indiana Jones, and the Last Crusade I have watched all his film since I was 10 years old wait a wonderful Actor and a great human being
I do know of Outland, seen a few clips over the years, reminds me a lot of 2001: A Space Odyssey. But my most memorable role of his was him playing king Arthur in First Knight with Richard Gere. That movie was so stylish for an Arthurian legend movie just by the costumes and designs alone. He will be missed.
R.I.P Sean Connery man he will be missed. great video and shave, my dad and i love Sean Connery. List is long of awesome Red October, The Rock League of extra ordinary gentlemen hey i collect dvd´sstay safe....cheers....Peter
I wasn't aware he passed until I saw this video, he was the best James Bond but I liked him in other roles even better the rock was great but the hunt for red October was my favorite Sean Connery movie and I just saw it for the first time in mid October.
I will miss him too! The first movie I remember seeing him in was highlander, but he’s never disappointed in anything else that I’d seen him in. Other favorites were the untouchables and the rock. I was surprised you didn’t mention the rock. You could just go on and on with these movies, in the name of the rose, hunt for red October, rising sun, and finding forester. I used to work for blockbuster 😂, I watched a bunch of movies. Anyways, great shave, awesome that you have that razor, and take care.
Thanks for your shave tribute to the late and great Sean Connery. He truly will be missed. You named a lot of top films. I also loved him in Indiana Jones as Indies dad, soooo good! I also loved him in The Rock with Nicolas Cage. We lost a legend. RIP.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as well as The Rock. I remember watching Medicine Man back in HS in Chemistry class sophomore year. RIP Sir Sean Connery
Loved this Ken! My favourite non-Bond role of his was as Captain Ramius in The Hunt for Red October. Great actor and will be sorely missed. He had a cameo (very young) in another great war movie The Longest Day. That’s another long-haul watch but worth the time!
Great tribute Ken. As a fellow Bond fan, this one is devastating. He lived a good long life and left quite a legacy for us to enjoy. He changed cinema and as a result, we have the greatest film franchise in the world. RIP Sir Sean Connery, thank you for everything.
Watched Never Say Never Saturday night. The Presidio was a really good movie. I’ll have to watch that this week. And one of my grandmothers had Alzheimer’s for about 4 years prior to her passing..
Like you Ken I also watched James Bond movies with my late Dad. I watched ‘Dr No’ again the other night after I heard the sad news of Sean Connery’s passing. I also saw ‘The Longest Day’ when it was released. I used to go to the movies every Saturday night as a kid. Not much else to do in the bush. I’ll be watching ‘From Russia with Love’ later this week. Take care over there
Many thanks for the video Ken. It was nice hearing your favourite movies apart from the Bond movies, my favourite movies will include him playing Indiana Jones’ father, the Rock, the untouchables, highlander, rising sun, a murder in the orient express, the man who would be a king. As to his Bond movies my personal favourite would be you only live twice with the ninjas secretly training in the Himeji castle in Japan 😁All I can say at this moment is Rest in peace sir Sean. My all time favourite actor.
The Untouchables is such an amazing classic movie...whenever someone asks some of my favorite movies i always list that as one. Came out 4 years before i was born, but its one of my favorites for sure.
Wonderful tribute. He made Highlander in my opinion. One movie I think of was one he only had a small part in, was The Longest Day. Again, wonderful tribute you did Ken
rip mr bond . fantastic actor . in many rolls . hit home because my father had the big d . passed away 4 years ago . going to do a tribute shave myself sir
Had to think of you first when I heard the news. He was my favorite Bond, but such a versatile actor. I am a big Indiana Jones fan so to me he has to be Henry Jones Sr and Malone from Untouchables was excellent!
When Sean Connery passed all I could think of is kensurfs and a potential shave.
So did I :)
Yup Kensurfs "Wall of fame" was one of the first things that came to mind too. One of the greatest!...A standard for many aspiring gentlemen and would-be spies. A full life lived. RIP Sir Sean Connery.

The Man Who Would Be King. A cracking movie, which brought Sean Connery together with Michael Caine. Fabulous!
RIP Sir Sean. That was a fine tribute shave. UNTOUCHABLES today. "That's the Chicago way"
Sean Connery was my favourite bond. I also liked him in Indiana Jones R.I.P Sean Connery, greatly missed.
Just finished watching Gold Finger on Australian TV. They are doing re-runs of Bond's movies every evening since last Sunday.

My favourite Sean Connery film was 'The Hill'. I seem to recall reading years ago that he regarded it as one of his best pieces of work. 👍👍
Time bandits when he played King Agamemnon! Just cause was good too
👍👍
Hunt For Red October and Highlander were always my faves. But playing Indy’s dad was also great, as was The Rock
👍👍👍
Hunt For Red October, Just Cause and Rising Sun were my favorites other than his James Bond movies. Great tribute shave to a legend.
Sean Connery will be missed. Hard to pick a favorite. Loved him as Bond, probably Goldfinger at the top

Lisa I like Sean Connery in Diamonds are Forever and Gold Finger best of all and due to the fact that Shirley Bassey sings the theme tunes so well.
Glad you took the time Ken. Sir Sean Connery was an Ikon and the memories will live on!

Great video Ken, deffo agree on Outland, The Hill quite special, and now Zardoz always ahead of its time, well until now. All the best Brother.

My all time favourite actor.
and my favorite movie of his was Goldfinger. Love the soundtrack and the story in general.
👍👍
He won the academy award for the untouchables, outstanding film. Great tribute mate👌
The Untouchables is such an amazing classic movie...whenever someone asks some of my favorite movies i always list that as one. Came out 4 years before i was born, but its one of my favorites for sure.
At least your shaving Ken. I’m growing out my full beard and watching your awesome videos makes me want to shave!
👍👍👍👍👍
I remember Untouchables.....great movie!
I am a huge Highlander fan.
I enjoyed "The Rock". Really good movie IMO
👍👍
Wonderful tribute. He made Highlander in my opinion. One movie I think of was one he only had a small part in, was The Longest Day. Again, wonderful tribute you did Ken
Thank you
rip mr bond . fantastic actor . in many rolls . hit home because my father had the big d . passed away 4 years ago . going to do a tribute shave myself sir
He will be surely missed 😓😥
👍👍
Had to think of you first when I heard the news. He was my favorite Bond, but such a versatile actor. I am a big Indiana Jones fan so to me he has to be Henry Jones Sr and Malone from Untouchables was excellent!
Great shave and tribute Ken. I take solace in the fact that Commander Bond and Q are together again.
Good man, Ken
